Dog-Friendly Retreat w/ Bay Views, a Spacious Deck, & Secluded Feel

Live the coastal lifestyle here in Westport and enjoy unobstructed water views of Grays Harbor Bay and the Olympic Mountains from your own private deck. Each foggy morning can be spent with a warm cup of coffee and a good book in hand as the sounds of the bay and ocean breeze whisper up to the house. If you’re an early bird and it’s a clear day at the ocean, prepare for a gorgeous sunrise and watch the sun pop up. Occasionally, far-away Mount Rainier will be visible to the east. When everyone stirs, the chef of the group can step into the spacious full kitchen and whip up a delicious breakfast as everyone reminisces at the breakfast bar. When everyone returns from a full day of adventure, watching the colors of the sky change each evening with a favorite drink in hand will be a great way to settle down. If you’re fortunate, you may see a small plane take off and land, a large freighter or fishing vessel in the bay, an eagle land in the tree near the deck, or a hawk hunting over the tide-flats. Not to mention, the whole gang will love munching on a bowl of popcorn as a movie plays on the flatscreen TV.

What's nearby:
Perched in the northern end of Westport, this home offers a private oasis facing South Bay while still being close to the main drag of town. The beachgoers will definitely be yearning for sandy toes, so make your way to Westport Light State Park and walk along the Westport Light Trail to find your own favorite spot to relax. While in the area, don't forget to check out Grays Harbor Lighthouse, Washington's tallest lighthouse sitting just under two miles from home base. When you work up an appetite, stop into local favorites like The Lighthouse Bistro, Pine Tree Tavern, or El Rancho Family Mexican Restaurant.

This home was perfect for our 4-person "Pandemic Pod". The space feels large and open without being cold. The beds were very comfortable (even the twin in the sleeping alcove) and there were plenty of towels - always appreciated when you have 4 women traveling together! The kitchen was better stocked than the listing led us to believe and had everything we needed to cook great meals. We loved watching the weather pass by from the huge windows in the main living area. Not walking distance to the beach but still had a 'beachy' feel. Only disappointment was not being able to have a fire in the fireplace - should have read other reviews more closely. Would definitely come back any time - we very much enjoyed our stay!

This house was just what we were looking for - large pet friendly home in quiet neighborhood to celebrate our grandson's 1st birthday. Although the house was near the Westport airport runway, we only saw one private plane take off. The management staff was very responsive to a couple of minor issues.

There were pro's and con's staying here that I hope will help you out on your stay. Overall we had a good time.
Pro's
Large bedrooms with comfortable beds
TV was great and had lots of channels. The Wi-Fi was spotty but it worked.
The kitchen was large and allowed a lot of people to hang around while we cooked meals.
The little room with the trundle bead was awesome because we had three teenagers and they hung out in this room most of the time. Because it was right off the family area we were able to keep a close eye on them.
Con's
We thought we were closer to the beach. You can't walk to the beach like we thought we could. The house is at least a quarter mile from the water which is all through wetland. The view was good even though we never saw a plane land while we were there.
You can't have a fire which was very disappointing. There's nothing better than a nice fire on a rainy day on the coast. They put battery operated candles in the fireplace which I though was weird, kind of felt like I was at church.

Nicely furnished home with a beautiful view. Looking forward to returning in the spring.

The house was perfect for us! Quiet and close to everything. Plenty of towels for our big group of 8! House was clean, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen.

This was a wonderful escape! The location was great, close to everything, and easy to find. We loved the small planes taking off and landing and the deer crossing the front yard at dusk. Only thing that could have been better would have been if we could have stayed longer! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Gorgeous remodeled comfortable house on Grays Harbor. Enjoyed watching the wildlife and boats go by. My 4 kids and husband were able to all be on the internet for school & work and we enjoyed the beach in between. The beach is a drive of about 1.5 miles. Probably could walk, but it is through town and I'd rather spend my time walking on the beach. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils, however no spices (not even salt and pepper) so plan accordingly. There is an electric George Forman grill on the back porch. We enjoyed our time in Westport at this house.

This home is spacious, comfortable, and in a great location. The proximity to the small airport was an unexpected bonus source of entertainment for my two young boys. Being able to bring our beach-loving lab on our trip was also a bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is nicely set up with three comfortable bedrooms and a fourth, smaller space, with a trundle bed. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of light and open space. The house was clean, spacious, quiet, and well-equipped with newer appliances, china, and glassware. The deck was in good repair with a wonderful view over Gray's Harbor to the Olympics. There's an airstrip in the view for small, mostly vintage planes. It was not disturbing at all. It's a very 'managed' house with tasteful decor and furniture. It's about a mile to the beach and a good bike trail. It worked really well for the four of us. If this is the area you're interested in, I would highly recommend.

The house was very nice and the view was wonderful. Lots of space and comfortable (yet still nice). The air strip was fun to watch as well and was not overly busy or loud.

Nice layout, nice finishes, and very clean. Good lighting, and view of tarmac and bay was nice! Saw a small plane land and didn’t hear a thing, quite peaceful! Nice to have modern feel and amenities given most lodging in the area is older style hotels and cottages. Would definitely recommend!
