You could also convene with your group to play a fun board game or watch a DVD movie in the entertainment room, which is adjacent to the living area.

With plush, navy blue couches affront a media center that includes a DVD library and a cable-equipped television, the entertainment room is sure to be a favorite gathering space for your group. And if you’ve brought children, they’ll be excited to find their very own play area with a kid-sized basketball goal and a colorful table with chairs.

With a large island and ample countertops, you’ll also have plenty of space to lie out ingredients or serve pre-meal hors d’oeuvres.

Meals are meant to be shared, so eat together at the four-seat dining table (with a leaf extension to seat up to six) or at the island with seating for two. If the weather permits, you could also dine al fresco on the patio, and there’s even a gas grill for barbecues and a fire pit.

Together with your group, play an après-meal game of capture the flag in the large backyard, or grab fishing poles and take a short walk to Sunset Lake. You could even enjoy some quiet time relaxing on papasan chairs in the second floor reading nook, or use the home’s WiFi to start planning tomorrow’s adventures.

After a full of activities and sightseeing on the Northern Oregon Coast, get a great night's sleep on queen beds in either of the two bedrooms. A sofabed provides even more sleeping space. Able to accommodate up to eight guests (four adult limit, please), the bedrooms are adorned with ocean-themed décor and feature nightstands, dressers, and reading lamps. There’s also plenty of natural light from picture windows, as well as a private washer and dryer in the garage for your added convenience.

From hiking to wildlife viewing to crabbing to touring historical sights, there’s so much to do on the Northern Oregon Coast! Lace up your trail shoes and head out for an invigorating hike on the Fort To Sea Trail, which begins in the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park about three miles northeast. Other activities include digging for clams, visiting the iconic Astoria Column, and viewing the sea lions that gather on the docks.

If you’re a history buff, make a nine-mile drive north to visit the Battery Russell, a concrete gunnery built during the Civil War to protect the U.S. shores, which still stands today in Fort Stevens State Park. While you're there, be sure to walk over to see the Peter Iredale, the iconic shipwreck. If you’re willing to drive just a bit farther and cross over Young’s Bay, the quaint fishing town of Astoria, with historic homes, boutique shopping, and eclectic restaurants, is a worthwhile day trip.

There were parts of the house that we loved: the open and bright kitchen and communal living room area, it's proximity to the beach and the view of the lake across the street. It was for the most part clean and the decor is charming.

Other parts of the property we did not care for: uncomfortable and rickety beds, flat pillows, a non-working exit and window, a very strong musty odor that took a day to clear. The garage crammed with an unorganized and dirty mess of mattresses, patio furniture and toys. What appear to be beds in the loft area are actually tiny camping cots, similar to patio furniture.

It was "good enough" for the two nights we stayed and the purpose of our visit, but I would not rent it again without some upgrades to the beds, repairs to the window and door that were inoperable and finding and addressing the source of the musty/moldy odor.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Molly. We are glad that overall you enjoyed this home for the bright and spacious kitchen and living areas, cleanliness, and location. We appreciate you bringing forth items to our attention in need of improvement, and our local Vacasa staff is continuously working towards making each home as best as possible. We’re sorry for the lack of better appearance in regards to the patio furniture and summer toys stored on one side of the garage for the winter, and our staff will better organize these items as well as search for any unusual odor present. Please note, this home is equipped with safety locks, and we apologize for any trouble when operating the door or window. In addition, the listing describes a child play area of this home upstairs, and the beds in this area are not meant for adults. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Close to the beach. Had everything you would need for a comfortable stay and activities while on the beach. Air conditioning would be a nice added touch and there are some minor R&M needed to make this a 5 star rating.
Heather D. Aug 2019
Loved the location. Nice bright home centrally located to many amenities along the northern coast. The only complaint was we wish it had at least another half or 3/4 bathroom.
Margaret L. Jul 2019
It was a cozy little house. The only suggestion I would make is that 2 bottles of travel shampoo and conditioner for 6people for 3 days 2 nights, may not be enough.
Timothy M. Jul 2019
Good house, great location.
Raina C. Jun 2019
If I could give this rental 10 stars, I would!
This place by far exceeded my expectations.
Everything was absolutely perfect. The beds were cozy, we were more than pleasantly surprised to find a ton of toys, games and movies for our kids. The neighborhood was so warm and welcoming!
One of my biggest concerns while booking our travel was space.. (we are a family of 5...) this rental is so perfectly laid out, we never found ourselves tripping over each other.
I could go on forever about how amazing and perfect this place is.
When we visit the coast again, I will definitely rent THIS house!
Jared H. Jun 2019
Nice clean and updated house. Really close to beach and right between Seaside and Astoria
Odessa c. May 2019
Gorgeous view of golf course across the street with a great front porch perfect for relaxing! Quiet neighborhood, short distance to beach.
Amber B. May 2019
We liked the open social space of the kitchen, how well-equipped the house was (games, movies, kitchen supplies, etc.) and the overall location. Only criticism was downstairs bedroom mattress wasn't super comfortable, and squeaked from the plastic mattress cover when you moved. That wasn't a deal breaker for us, we totally loved the space and would definitely come back again!
Faith E. Apr 2019
Very comfortable home. Nicely decorated and well kept. Nice quiet neighborhood and close to all that we came for. Can't wait for the little coffee shop to open on the corner down from the house. I would definately stay again.
Cassie V. Apr 2019
This house was a perfect getaway for our family of 4. My first impression from the outside was instantly reversed when we saw how lovely the inside is. The kids loved the upstairs loft with their own TV and a great selection of kids movies. The house had everything we needed. We spent lots of time sitting on the front deck while the kids played. It was a lovely home away from home, and a super short drive to the beach. Thank you for sharing your beach home!
Kristopher H. Mar 2019
This place is right between Seaside and Astoria. It's within minutes to walk to Sunset Beach. Which is exactly what is is. You can drive your car out on the beach and watch the sun go down! Quiet neighborhood and everything we needed. Wife loved the couch with the attached ottoman. If you int want to go all the way into Seaside for small things; the Gearhart store has amazing steaks to throw on the grill. Their homemade potato salad was some of the best we have had also! Will be back =)
Jake F. Nov 2018
This house was adorable and so fun to stay in! Very clean, well stocked and felt like home. Perfect location... close to the beach, shopping and just a short drive into Astoria. We only wished we had planned to stay longer!
Jennifer M. Sep 2018
Very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids. The kids love the loft. Kitchen could use a few more items. Bring your own foil/plastic wrap and pot holders!
Justin D. Jul 2018
Lots of amenities!

This home is in a great location. Close to Astoria, Fort Stevens, Seaside, and Cannon. It's also very close to Sunset Beach, a flat beach you can drive your vehicle onto, unload, enjoy a fire and fly some kites. Bathrooms on Sunset Beach are close by and much appreciated. The outside of the house is misleading as to how charming the inside is. The outside is in need of a good hosing off as it was literally covered in dead insects and webs. No hose is provided to do that or to spray off shoes and toys used on the beach. The house is well furnished and supplied with plenty of bedding and towels, both bathroom, and kitchen. There is also an abundance of cookware, utensils, and dishes. Unlike every other house we have rented, there were no common kitchen items like aluminum foil, cling wrap, sandwich bags, napkins or paper plates. Not even a chip-clip for keeping bags closed. Be sure to bring these items or purchase them at Fred Meyer or Walmart or Costco which are just a few miles down the road towards Astoria. Plenty of toilet paper was provided but we ran out of paper towels and garbage bags quickly. The coffee shop just down the block sells firewood and ice for your beach visit. The house has plenty of movies and games and even toys for toddlers. The living room has very comfortable furniture and our twins loved sleeping up in the loft which also has a small tv with built-in dvd player. We found the beds to not be very comfortable. The house has 3 fans which we much appreciated. The decor of the house was very charming and the house was bright and clean. What we found to be most troublesome was the smell. I had not read about the smell in the house in any of the reviews so I am hoping it was an issue that can be resolved. Our family describes the smell as sewer/mold/port-a-potty/ mildew. It smacked us in the face when we walked in the door and every time we entered the house. It was bad enough that as much as we enjoyed the location of this house and actual space of it, we would never rent it again. We have rented homes for over 30 years, both on lakes and ocean-front and have never experienced a home that felt so damp or smelled so bad. I hope it can be fixed. We were thankful for the washer and dryer provided in the garage. It should be noted that the garage is full of useful items: chairs, toys, clam guns, a volleyball net/ball that can be used. With the exception of the lack of paper products in the kitchen and most importantly, the vile smell of this house, we enjoyed our twice-yearly visit to Oregon's beautiful coast.
Manager response:
We are glad to see this stay was mostly enjoyable and apologize for any downsides there might have been. We have not noticed any odor or received any other complaints, but we will look into this right away. There is a hose available just inside the garage door, and we have scheduled a pressure washing. Thank you!
Phillip H. Jun 2018
I had a wonderful time. Beautiful setting. Not too far from the beach. Loved the front porch swing.
Ernest H. May 2018
Situated equally between Gearhart and Warrenton. Walking distance to beach. View of Astoria golf course and lake. House well furnished and comfortable.
La Rita M. May 2018
Loved the house and central location. Close to Astoria and Seaside not to mention blocks away from Sunset Beach. My only gripes are there wasn't a good selection of pots and pans and the beds are very uncomfortable. However there were toys for the baby and a pack n play for him to sleep in. We had a great time.
Jodi H. May 2018
Lots of amenities
Sarah M. Apr 2018
Loved the clean look of this shabby sheek beach house open kitchen concept warm and inviting. Amenities were all very nice will love to rent it again. 2 blocks from the beach!
Nelson L. Apr 2018
My family had a great time here. Coffee shop close by was great! Beach was a 2 minute drive!
Elizabeth W. Apr 2018
Quiet, clean
Kirk C. Mar 2018
The house has had a very tasteful renovation making it very pleasing to stay in. Very cozy. Perfect central location to enjoy all the coast has to offer from Cannon Beach and Ecola Stste Park to the south and wonderful Astoria to the north. We will be renting this place again.
Danielle L. Jan 2018
Great view
Tricia B. Jan 2018
We enjoyed our stay in the small but comfortable house. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and they are well furnished. The living room with a lovely gas fireplace is small but there is a spacious den. The upstairs is strictly for kids as no adult can stand up in the space and the beds are cots, suitable for kids. It is a ten minute drive to Astoria where we spent most of our time and the beach is close by where you can take long walks. The kitchen is pretty well equipped (the frying pan was small). The house was quite clean and cheerful with a beach theme in the decor. We had an enjoyable time and would probably stay here again.
Jeremy K. Nov 2017
I would maybe stay here again if the following things were fixed. Front door deadbolt lock in very finicky, at times you feel like the key will break turning it. Mattresses are very loud, cheap quality. No fan on the gas fireplace or if there is one it was not set up correctly, you use individual wall heaters for each room, it can take a while for the house to warm up. The garage was filled with junk, being on the Oregon Coast it would be nice to have somewhere to dry wet gear. If you have kids, the bannister around the stairs in the loft is poorly constructed. My 8 year old leaned against it, I thought he was going to fall. The TV is not compatible with HDMI, we brought a blu-ray player, which had our Netflix account, we could not use it. A simple TV channel guide would be helpful. Add a blender. Booking was easy and they were accommodating in adding late check out. the house is nice, it appears as though it was just remodeled, but never had a walkthrough.
Manager response:
The owner has agreed to replace the living room TV, and we will work on the other items as we are able to during the slow season. Thank you!
Marc T. Nov 2017
We definitely enjoyed the fireplace and spacious aspects of the kitchen and living room, though we didn't spend too much time indoors since it's only a 2-minute drive to Sunset Beach, with access to various trails, as well as a 10-minute drive to Astoria. It was definitely more space than we needed. So we may be back again with a couple more guests. Note that the upstairs area and cots are definitely more appropriate for children, given the low-angled ceiling.
Chris D. Oct 2017
This is a cute welcoming home. Very clean and close to the beach and Costco. We had a great time and are planning another trip later this fall. It's great for a small family as well as the couple getaway.
Lauren H. Oct 2017
Great house and beautiful area. The view out the front windows is just beautiful. We had a wonderful stay.
Karen W. Sep 2017
We did enjoy our stay at your home and the area was nice and very quite. We would rent again.
Kimberly H. Sep 2017
This cute little beach house is right in the middle of location that is easy to access Seaside and Astoria. We enjoyed the close location to the beach, state parks, and nearby cities. Everything was easy to get to and the place was stocked with plenty of supplies. It was great for our stay and purpose of visit.
Kathy E. Aug 2017
We had a wonderful time and although just a few very small things like the DVD player not working in the family room area, it was spacious, clean, and the neighborhood was very quiet! The house next door was kind of junky, but we never saw anyone there and we had no issues at all. The house itself was wonderful! I would definitely stay there again.
Julie Stubbs O. Aug 2017
We loved staying here. It was the perfect distance to see all the sites in the surrounding towns, and it was also private enough to enjoy the peace. The beach is just around the corner-- it couldn't be better! The house was super clean and comfortable. I have no complaints whatsoever. We watched the deer come in the backyard one evening, and every night we zipped over to the beach to watch the sun set. The beach is in walking distance if you chose to go that way. Great place to stay!
Tomas G. Aug 2017
It is very nice place for family vacation. Good stay, great condition and clean. We enjoyed it.
Janna M. Jun 2017
This cottage doesn't have a ton of street appeal, but don't let its plain outside fool you. It's absolutely beautiful inside, with a large airy dining room and kitchen just inside the front door, a cozy den off to the side, two neat little bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, and a loft upstairs that our little boys loved. They thought the sturdy cots were awesome and I'm pretty sure they slept at least one night in the big papasan chairs! The hall closet was stuffed full of clean fluffy towels and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and some basic cooking items.

The furniture in the den is comfortable for lounging, and we watched deer out the back sliding door every night (including a doe and two fawns!).

There are interesting beaches and towns a short distance in both directions, and in fact the nearest beach is one you can drive right onto.

Vacasa handled a broken chair quickly and inobtrusively, and they were also helpful when we accidentally locked the keys in the house.

We had a wonderful time, and this sweet, clean, light-filled beach cottage was a big part of it!
Marjorie T. Jun 2017
This was a nice, clean home, however we were disappointed wih the kitchen. It did not have the mentioned coffee grinder, no skillet for eggs, bacon, or pancakes, no decent knives, no sponge to wash dishes with & only two kitchen towels for three days.
Manager response:
We apologize for the oversights. A new coffee grinder and new kitchen towels have been placed in the home and we have reminded housekeeping to leave sponges for guest use.
Don S. Jun 2017
We enjoyed our stay here! It was such a pleasant and comfortable place for our family. We especially liked the spacious and light front room and kitchen with vaulted ceilings. Our 2 year old grandson enjoyed all the toys.
Brandy R. Jun 2017
Had good time just a few things that need to be fixed
Robert S. May 2017
Whether your destination is Astoria, Seaside, or somewhere in-between, this home is in a perfect location for easy access. It would handle a small family or two couples very nicely, although the single bath could be challenging. With deer roaming through the yard and a view of the lake and golf course from the front porch, this makes a wonderful out-of-the-way getaway.
Tina W. May 2017
The house is located across from Sunset Lake which makes for a nice view, although there isn't much access to the lake. That's ok because we came for the beach which is down the road a short drive. Sunset Beach is less than a 5 minute drive. There is a trail head at the entrance to the beach. You can drive onto the beach which is nice and sandy. The house itself was very clean, nicely furnished, and well decorated. There is seating for 6 at the table along with 2 seats at the breakfast bar. There is a small sofa at the entrance with an electric fireplace. There is also a den with comfy seating. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds, access to one closet, dressers which you can utilize, and a loft area with 2 kids cots upstairs. We had 2 adults and 4 kids. It worked out very well! The 2 girls were in the loft and the boys in the room. There is a tv/vcr/DVD player in the den with some good family friendly movies available. Very nice house and we would rent it again. Thank you!

The place is really nice the kitchen was Awesome
Katie S. Mar 2017
We thoroughly enjoyed this house. It was cheerful and clean and well organized. Even in the rain, there was much natural light. Our children enjoyed the loft and my husband & I appreciated how nice and clean it was. The location was convenient for us. We had a wonderful time relaxing with family. Thank you!
LaVerta C. Feb 2017
Easy walk to Sunset Beach- very clean. Loft area beds are cots - more suitable for children than adults.
Rachel M. Feb 2017
This home was well prepared for little ones. It worked well for my teens, too. The upstairs cots were small but my 15 year old
Doretta C. Jan 2017
Had a wonderful mini vacation with grandkids. Close to attractions . Weather was good. Elk were awesome to see in yards.
Patrick G. Jan 2017
This was a nice house, very clean and it had everything we needed. Thanks
Garth H. Nov 2016
Our family of 7 wanted a peaceful weekend getaway away from the hustle and bustle of life. Beachcomber Haven was the answer! The house was clean and provided the necessary toiletries, bedding, and kitchen supplies that we needed. We made most of our meals at the house, enjoyed some of the movies and games that were there, and also went to Sunset Beach (just a short walk away). The kids loved relaxing on the porch swing and enjoyed the little loft area upstairs. We hope to return for another getaway soon!
John T. Oct 2016
Great property and location and good price. We loved it here. We would consider returning to this property
Larry A. Oct 2016
Ok
Lei C. Oct 2016
the house is very nice and comfortable, beautiful view from the house
Marci M. Sep 2016
This place is decorated superbly and very homey feel the minute you walk in. Extremely clean and pretty much has everything you need. Even chairs and games to take to the beach. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone headed to that area.
Gayla O. Aug 2016
Sleeps 8 very comfortably, was very clean, and is only a short drive from Sunset Beach, which does allow vehicles on the beach. The only drawback was no laundry facilities.
Jed M. Jul 2016
A good find, close to many attractions, clean, comfortable and we got to watch feet in the back yard while sitting in the den.
Ashley N. Jul 2016
This was a really comfortable home for our family of five to stay for three nights, with easy access to the local beach (.7 miles), and easy driving access to many other great coastal locations. The condition and furnishings were exactly as posted online and the home was clean and well-organized. There were great spaces in the home for our 4 and 6 year old boys to sleep and play, and easy beach access nearby. I would recommend ensuring the home has enough towels for your group size, and plan ahead if you need laundry as there is not laundry in the house nor in the small community in which it is located. The home next-door is also a vacation rental and our kids enjoyed playing with other kids staying there. There is a rooster in the neighborhood, so remember to close the windows early in the morning unless you want to be woken up to a rooster. Overall this home was a good value for the price, and especially nice for people seeking a very quiet, somewhat isolated community in which to vacation.
Cassandra O. Jul 2016
Great place for a family with little ones. The set up is fantastic!! We would definitely book this house on our next vacation!!
Leonid P. Jul 2016
We have really enjoyed our stay. The house has a very nice layout and is pretty roommie. The only thing we didn't notice when booking this place was that it didn't had a washer and dryer, which would be helpful becauae we have four children. Overall, we had a very nice experience. The beach access is very close and there is also a neighborhood park near buy.
M H. Jun 2016
The place was spotless and well maintained. It is just 0.7 miles from the beach and you can drive onto the beach.

The house as such was very kid/toddler friendly. Lots of toys and things to keep them busy and our toddler thoroughly enjoyed the loft. It was clearly set up by someone who gets kids and we very much appreciated how toddler friendly it was!
Roger B. Jun 2016
Enjoyed our stay. The home is on a super quiet road. Beautiful lake across road and open property. Maintenance is slipping a bit (broken storm door latch, broken blind, stained carpet). Vacasa is somewhat rigid and generic in how it handles the booking and info, like requiring name of all guests at time if booking, and licences if all vehicles several days before arrival. Additionally, info sheet sent day of rental noted that no guests at any time could be on premises. Not even another couple for dinner? This should have been clarified up front on listing.
Manager response:
The Property Manager has realigned the storm door, has had the carpets cleaned, and is working on replacing the blinds.
Tim V. Feb 2016
Nice living space. Recently undated. Good beds in the two downstairs bedrooms. Nice loft for kids but not adults (low clearance). Very close to a beautiful beach one can drive on. Good location in a very quiet neighborhood only a few hundred yards off 101. The house is well stocked for a family (toys, video, books, etc.).
