We loved the home's unique location right over the water. It feels completely isolated and quiet yet was a minute's walk right into the center of town. The home itself was very nicely appointed and all of the furniture and amenities were of high quality. We will look forward to staying here again in the future!

The house is beautiful, the views are stunning, extremely quiet, and very comfortable. The deck being over the water was really cool, especially when we had a pod of Orcas swim by. As an added touch, it was all decorated for Christmas -- a lovely addition! We highly recommend this house to you.

We stayed a week in Dec. Absolutely loved it. The location and views are amazing. Seals, otters, birds. The house is gorgeous. Full kitchen, access to the almost private beach, 3 beds and 2 bath. Fireplace. Perfectly clean. Rate it 10/10. Absolutely coming back.

The house is gorgeous, very clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped, lovely views, 5 min walk to downtown. The stairs going to the basement need anti-skid , very slippery!
Manager response:
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our home. We have reached out to our local manager with your suggestion. Thank you for bringing them to our attention. We hope to host you again soon!

The privacy from this unique and comfortable Whidbey Island home, perched right out over the water, provides one-of-a-kind views of the picturesque Coupeville Wharf and the nature abundant Penn Cove. The location couldn't be more perfect for exploring the historic town by foot. Although the kitchen is well equipped for cooking, we continued our low stress weekend living by trying several of Coupeville's delicious options for take out (Currents Bistro, Front Street Grill, Little Red Hen Bakery, and the Salty Mug on the pier - all recommended). Enjoying the lovely outlook from the Heron House dining table, as well as it's unbelievable deck, provided endless entertainment with our kids watching for sea life passersby, We also enjoyed cozying up for movie nights in front of the fireplace and flat screen in the living room. The entire house feels updated, fresh, and clean with wonderful nods to your island getaway everywhere in the decor. It was an idyllic Whidbey escape that we hope to return to again and again!

Our family enjoyed our time together here, and the set up was perfect for family bonding activities: cooking, fire pit, board games, walks on the beach and walks to the charming little town nearby. The kids wanted to extend our stay!

I booked Heron House on the Cove in Coupeville for a recent weekend getaway with four of my close girlfriends. It could not have been more perfect! Bedrooms were spaced out nicely throughout the home with great window treatments to block out the bright morning light reflecting off the water. There were plenty of chairs to enjoy time on the deck or around the campfire. Kitchen and bathroom amenities were lovely, too. (No shortage on towels or wash cloths.) We loved watching the birds and seals from the deck, as well as the local deer and fawn explore the beach, going on beach walks, and making the short walk to town. The stairs down to the unit are somewhat steep, so please be aware if accessibility is a concern. (There is a bench about halfway down the stairs to the unit if rests are needed.) We were able to carry our bags and cooler stocked with food/drink without incident. I definitely plan to come back with my husband and two kiddos - there's so much beach exploring we could do! Highly recommend Heron House on the Cove. We will be back!

Our young kids and us spent a lot of time on the private pebble beach overlooking the cove, and in the cozy fire pit. Sound of the waves was soothing - loved the sit out deck overhanging the water during high tide! Good food is a 3 min walk or stay in and cook up a hot meal for a cozy indoors stay.

Beautifully maintained home OVER the beach and water. Fabulous views in every room of Penn Cove, the Coupeville pier and beaches. Easy walk to town for great restaurants with local fare including the famous Penn Cove Mussels and gift shops.
We'll be back!
