nice place to spend the weekend fully equipped. the only thing is the bed rooms are down stairs and it squeaks like crazy if you walk on the upper level

Cozy and clean house

There were hardly any cups or glasses. There were many mugs, but only a few plastic cups, some huge, some small. We ended up buying plastic glasses so that we would have enough. The toaster didn't work well and the heater made the downstairs fill up with either smoke or a dusty substance that made the fire alarm go off. In general, we felt like the pots and pans and kitchen items reflected a non-caring attitude of the owners. Maybe people have stolen things, therefore it's best just to leave the bare minimum? That's the only reasoning we could come up with. Other than that, there were plenty of towels and enough blankets and pillows to go around. We won't stay here again, but the location was fine. Good to get to know the area.
Manager response:
The property manager inspected the heater and was unable to recreate the experience this guest had. We will keep an eye on the situation. The kitchen items will be replaced once we have owner approval. Thank you!

The house was great

My family and I had a great time at this house. Great surrounding locations. House well maintained and kids happy. Great price for a great house. For sure will go back again. ????

House needs updating allover. It just needs caring hands to do it, would not be expensive to get newer used furnishings. Cookware was unusable for us, Teflon was peeling off the pans and pots. Stainless Steel cookware would be better replacement, and a larger pot and baking pan. Kitchen cabinets are very old and hardware (knobs and handles) is very sharp.
Manager response:
The owner has provided some upgrades in the home (including a new TV!) and has plans for more upgrades in the future. We look forward to sharing these with our guests.

Spacious upstairs with kitchen an d open living room . however any one with a handicapped legs would have difficulty climb ing all the stairs to get to living room and kitchen. We fun time and enjoyed our stay.

The house was farther away from the water than we liked. The yard was not kept up or inviting to our kids compared to surrounding homes. The house was very dated and many cobwebs throughout the house.
Manager response:
We are disappointed to see that this guest did not enjoy their time more at this home. Most Tahoe homes do not have landscaped yards and allow the native flora to take its natural course. The yard is raked up once per year, but the TRPA ordinance requires a thin layer of pine needles to be spread on the ground to help prevent erosion. Housekeeping will keep an eye out for cobwebs in the future so we can make sure those are no longer present.

The place is older and outdated so be prepared for that, but for the cost of the place you get what you pay for. Very large and spacious upstairs with a large deck that was great for enjoying and entertaining. Sleeping will be difficult if you have people that like to sleep in. You can hear every foot step and movement from upstairs while sleeping downstairs. There wasn't much in basic supplies: cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels so make sure to pack or stop by the Safeway before arriving. We had a blast nonetheless and if your crew isn't all that concerned about the glamour and amenities of a cabin. This is your cabin!

Positives: large, big distance between adjacent homes so music was not a problem, amenities were good
Negatives: heating had a problem, difficult to control. Bedsheets smelled like perfume.

The location was great. Plenty of room. The furniture and appliences were older. It could have been cleaner meaning cleaning the cobwebs. Overall it was great and the price was great. We would stay again.

It's a very big house. All the rooms are downstairs w/ heaters in all of them. Keeps the rooms very warm. Their was enty of snow around the house to play. It's a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Stores are a bit far. Overall it's a good home to stay at. :)
