This lovely Newberg vacation rental offers the perfect place to take the whole family! Dog-friendly and with wheelchair access, everyone will be comfortable here.
Settled in a residential neighborhood, the house is right by Hess Creek, a wonderful spot to walk your dog. George Fox University is only half a mile away, and several wineries are just a short drive from your front door. If you'd like to take a daytrip to Portland, it's only 35 miles away.
The living room is charming and well-appointed, with a muted color scheme and carefully-chosen decorative touches. In the evenings, borrow a book from the house's selection and enjoy it on the soft couches, or put some music on the stereo for ambiance with your fellows. If you'd like to watch TV, there's a loveseat and TV upstairs on the landing where you can enjoy your favorite show on cable. If you're wondering what to do for dinner, log onto the WiFi to look up restaurant reviews or head into the spacious kitchen.
Fully stocked and with an island for extra chopping space, the kitchen is easy to navigate and pleasant to work in. Brew some coffee for a pick-me-up, then prepare something yummy! When you've finished, slide the dishes into the dishwasher for an easy cleanup and head into the elegant dining room to enjoy your meal. If you're more in the mood for barbecue, head outside to the gas grill.
The master bedroom is on the lower floor, so anyone with painful joints doesn't have to worry about stairs. The large room has a queen bed, a couch, and a second TV. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed. All three bedrooms are beautifully decorated. Between them and the twin-size sofabed, seven lucky guests can enjoy staying here. For an additional nightly fee, that can include well-behaved dogs as well, who will love the enclosed back yard.
With two and a half bathrooms, it's not hard to get mirror time. A private washer/dryer are available for your convenience, so don't feel a need to overpack.
Newberg is a wonderful place to spend some time, calmer than Portland but near enough for an easy day trip. Take a wine tour of one of the dozens of nearby wineries, or just have a glass at Chehalem Tasting room, which is within easy walking distance. If it's a nice day, walk around downtown and browse some of the little antique shops dotted around. Visit the Hoover-Minthorn House Museum and learn about our 33rd President.
This area is famous for the delicious food grown and produced nearby. Visit the Newberg Farmers Market and try some local cheese or hazelnuts, and stock up on fresh veggies to cook later on. If you're looking for gifts for folks back home, buy them some homemade soap at Soapy Bear.

Fully and thoughtfully stocked, comfortable in every regard. A minor repair was made the day it was reported reflecting the care the rental agency to it’s clients concerns. We will use this service again and recommend it.
Very comfortable, great for dogs, interesting neighborhood. Came in early on evening to find a deer in the driveway munching apples from a tree on the property, next day he moved on to the pears in the back yard. Great entertainment.
Really enjoyed the house. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Would heartily recommend. Our dog gives it 4 paws up!
We had a fabulous time! The Moore Farmhouse is very accommodating and fully stocked with many things you may need from an extra blanket to outdoor seating.
We had an incredible time at the Moore Farmhouse. Everything was clean, the backyard space was awesome, and the AC was MUCH appreciated during our summer stay. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.
Was a great place to stay with family! Very comfortable and plenty of sleeping/relaxing space. Loved the backyard!
The house is large and clean. Very good for a family or a group of friends.
Master suite is a little oasis.
We needed a place to stay while our floors were being re-finished. This home was perfect for our needs. The house was advertised as "dog friendly", and friendly it was. Our two dogs loved the fenced-in yard where we could sit in the sunshine on the deck and play fetch. We had a glitch with the internet access that was taken care of immediately by the local vacasa team. As we sat in the comfy living room, we were so glad we made the choice to stay in this home vs. a hotel.
This was a beautiful home. The furnishing were nice and the kitchen was well stocked. The garden was a bonus with the juicy blackberries, and pears and fresh rosemary for our dinner. The patio was wonderful for our morning coffee and relaxing. Outside of the cleaning problem which was quickly resolved, we had a wonderful stay at the Moore House.
We came to town for my daughter's wedding and the Moore Farmhouse was perfect for us. We planned to host a small BBQ to get to know the groom's family and have the bridal party there to do hair and makeup on the wedding day. The setting was perfect for conversations, for a Frisbee toss, and a bridal area (main bedroom/bath) for the girls to laugh together and prepare for the wedding. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. I brought my own, but they weren't needed. It was larger than we expected. Room for a movie, a large jigsaw puzzle and napping. Everything was simple and so close to downtown. It also felt like a safe neighborhood. I would definitely rent the Moore Farmhouse again!
Would stay here again only if I had something specific in this particular area. Not a very convenient location because it takes so long to get to other major areas.
good place, centrally located between the coast and the Williamette wine regions
My sister and I brought our kids to Newberg to visit George Fox University. We considered getting 2 hotel rooms, but we are so glad we decided to rent this house instead. It was perfect for the 2 adults and 5 kids. It was clean and comfortable and much roomier than 2 hotel rooms would have been. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was mostly well-supplied. The yard was big and the youngest kids enjoyed watching the tadpoles and frogs in the pond while the older kids picked blueberries for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again if we all gather together in Newberg.
Home away from home!
Haven of peace ;-)
This is a lovely home with a lot of amenities. The Air Conditioner works great for those rare hot days; the ability to adjust for the separate areas of the house is a plus. Plenty of space to stretch out for a large family and the master bathroom was awesome with the walk-in shower. Relaxing and friendly neighborhood - not far from grocery stores for long term stays. The upgraded appliances are really great as well.
our daughter was getting married. The way the house was set up was perfect. It selpt everyone great. We had a wonderful time other then a dog in the neighborhood barking a lot.
My family and I stayed here during my graduation. It was a great house with lots of space. The location was great also.
Our family stayed in the Moore Farmhouse last fall and were somewhat disappointed. I am so glad we tried again. The updated kitchen and master suite were beautifully done. The kitchen is nicely The master bed could use a foam topper to make it more comfortable.
The farmhouse was great. The little dog had a nice yard to play in and the adults and teens had plenty of room for games, eating, and visiting. It would be great if the owner would leave a few more games and a couple decks of cards.
Good location, lots of space.
This home worked great to accommodate our small group for a weekend business wine tasting trip. However the king bed advertised is actually two twins pushed together and during our stay the gas fireplace advertised was not functioning which was too bad since we arrived during a stormy dark weekend. The home was chilly and we were not able to regulate the heat but overall it is well equipped. Nothing some tlc and attention couldn't fix. There are definitely signs that pets are allowed (carpet stains, etc) so if that's a deterrent, this is not a place for you.
Really liked the deck and the space. The dining room table was nice. The kitchen was great to cook in. However, the carpet was stained, the planters on the deck needed repair, and the master bath tub needed to be replaced. We were expecting something in the country since the listing called it the Farmhouse.
We apologize for any confusion experienced due to the name; this was once a farmhouse in the country that has since been swallowed up by Newberg. The carpets have been cleaned, and the owner has remodel plans for the fall that include addressing the master bathroom.
Beautifully maintained property--handled 7 adults easily. Thought the restrictions on number of cars seemed unreasonable for travelers coming from 4 different states. Also would have liked to have visitors since we don't get to Oregon very often.
Sweet location-Responsive management but unfortunate plumbing problems during our stay.
Our trip was great. The Moore farmhouse was big enough to accommodate all 6 of us. The family dining table was wonderful as we entertained family and friends for several dinners. Hopefully the owners/property managers will pay a little more attention to detail and fix some of its short-comings, but overall, I would stay there again. Thank you.
