Cozy coastal condo w/ ocean view & close to the beach - dogs ok!

A memorable trip to the Oregon Coast awaits you at this lovely condo. With a dog-friendly attitude, ocean views, and cozy accommodations, up to eight guests will enjoy comfort and good times here!

Part of the Sandstone Point property at the south end of Lincoln City, there are a number of conveniences nearby, including restaurants, shops, and a movie theater right across the street (please use caution when crossing the highway!). Beach access is a short two-block walk and down a flight of stairs.

The condo itself has a warm atmosphere with modern furnishings and large picture windows offering views of the Pacific. A great room contains a living area, kitchen, and dining table. Get comfortable in an armchair or on the futon to converse and enjoy the warmth from the electric fire. The flatscreen cable TV offers entertainment for a rainy day, and you might upload photos for friends using the complimentary WiFi.

Across the room, the open kitchen is small, but it has everything you need to make all your favorite meals. There are even extras like a mixer, blender, and a coffeemaker for convenience. Six will fit around the dining table for a family-style meal, and there is more seating on a shared patio area outside when you want fresh air and a pleasant ocean breeze.

Three bedrooms and one full bath allow this condo to sleep up to eight travelers - one bedroom features a double bed, and another has a set of twin bunk beds. The final bedroom offers a double-size bed. Any remaining guests can sleep on the fold-out futon.

Your four-legged family members don't have to stay home for this trip, as Sandstone Point is dog-friendly (please note a small, nightly pet fee). Also, this home may be a good choice for those with limited mobility because it is all one level.

This condo is perfect for a family, a couple families, or a group of friends - walk down to the beach and stroll for miles on the gorgeous stretch of sand, keeping an eye open for seashells and splashing your feet in the surf. If you're into golfing, reserve a tee time to play at Chinook Winds Casino Resort, and kill some time at the slots or a blackjack table - it might be your lucky day!

If you're craving adventure, head up to Devils Lake and spend the day kayaking on tranquil water or go for a horseback ride through Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides. There is a great hiking trail at Roads End Point, as well, offering vistas of the beautifully rugged coastline. For a lazy day, stick around the condo and catch a matinee at the theater, or go shopping at the nearby outlet mall.

There are so many things to do in Lincoln City, you might have trouble deciding how you want to have fun - book today!

Very Home-y, Clean, Comfy

We loved how stylish, comfortable, and clean this place was. We also loved the private front yard with fire pit. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Great clean place. View was great! Hard walk to beach for elderly people. Otherwise great stay!

Nice kitchen with big table, chairs and couch in living room. Better if queen size beds instead of full and better mattresses. Awesome to have fire pit in yard so don’t have to go to beach for marshmallow roast. Could see whales with binoculars. Other rooms might have view of beach. Steep access for beach so not for the feeble. Mostly pavement and stairs though. Great to have kitchen with cooking stuff and be able to sleep 8 for the price. Picnic table outside too. Nicer if yard wasn’t in path of others enroute to beach with dogs that used our nice little yard for potty area. We’d go there again.

Im sure its a pleasant place but i didnt! Kids were pounding upstairs and Dig non stop barking!!! Was not peaceful at all!

We loved the condo. It was so nice to have a kitchen to make our own meals. We were there for my grandsons basketball tournament. The school was just across the condo. I've been to your condos 3 times and have only had an issue once. It was handled quickly.

The house had a nice view of the ocean. It was clean. The beach is a hike.
Robert L. Sep 2018
Rooms can sleep 8 but not one closest, dresser or any kind of area for storage. Only two of us but clothes had to be stored on beds not used. Cleanliness could have been much better.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see the lack of dressers caused an issue for our guest. The area in each unit is very small, so we do recognize there is not much storage space. Most guests live out of their suitcases during their visits. Thank you!

Perfect place to take a small family and a couple of small pets. Close to shopping and other shops downtown. The beach was a little hike, wish it was a little closer. Fire pit was nice to have for our little apartment. I would stay there again.

The patio was dirty, filled with sand, wires, trash. Spider webs in most of the corners. The tile floor turned our feet and socks black. The bathroom needed sprayed for bugs, 5-10 nightly bugs. The Garden smelled like wet dog when we arrived, the smell never went away. The kitchen chairs are stained and had food all over them, the main room rocking chairs were stained and very tipsy. We can handle dated, but this was just not acceptable.

The beds need a big update.....they were two doubles, which is odd for a 3 bedroom rental, knowing that a family will be staying it would have been nice to have at least one bed for my spouse and I to stay in, instead one of us stayed on the futon.
The kitchen had pots and pans which was nice if you had any counter space to do any kind of cooking. I had asked prior to our stay if I needed to bring bedding for the futon, and was told "the unit would have sufficient bedding" I am glad I took sheets and blankets, as there was one blanket that looked like it had never been washed.
Take a sheet to cover the chairs, they are stained, gross, and tipsy.
However, the biggest disappointment to our trip was how you can hear EVERYTHING the top floors are doing, I don't mean a little noise, it was a lot of noise to keep you up at night. It was as if we were separated by plywood and that's it. You can even hear dogs walking!!! If you want a good night sleep for your vacation, do not rent this unit!!!! Extremely disappointed. Just a side note, people let their dogs poop and pee right in front of the unit, where you walk out to look at the ocean.

Should have paid more and gone elsewhere.
Manager response:
We are so sorry to see this guest's experienced procured such a list. We have spoken with housekeeping regarding the cleanliness issues and apologize for this. After Labor Day we will do deep cleans, replace some of the furnishings, and have the carpets and chairs professionally cleaned. Thanks!

This condo is perfect for a family, including small dogs! We loved our week here! Plan accordingly for sleeping arrangements though. 2 adults to a full bed is rather tight.

Nice staff.

Very neat house. Just the shower head needs to be fix.

Good place for pleasant time for not too big family.

I'll start with the great. There is an outdoor fire-pit that was awesome in the evenings. There is also a small covered area with a picnic table right outside the door and it felt private, even though it wasn't. The place is older, partially updated, but incredibly small. Even though we planned simple meals, we found it to be like a choreographed dance of a kitchen version of the Twister game to make almost anything. Also the oven cooks extremely hot and has a very sensitive fire alarm almost directly overhead. Is that so you know when to declare a winner? Another thing important to note is that the bathroom is right off the kitchen and has no ventilation. You will want to bring air freshener or the entire living area will smell like it. A final consideration is that it is quite noisy. Thankfully there were only people above us 1 of our 3 nights, but we heard every creaky step. And, the walls are thin so we also heard each other all night long. The things teenage girls talk about at 2:00am! LOL! Our biggest problems though were a broken dining room table bench, therefore nowhere to sit the first night, and a broken box spring for the first two nights. Not so bad if you like to sleep in a hammock with another person, but that's not our style so we ended up improvising with it on the floor. All that said, it was a very memorable adventure and, I would stay there again. As long as you are with people that can roll with things and laugh at them, it is a great place to get away and be by the ocean!
Manager response:
We apologize for any disappointments this guest experienced. We have relocated the fire alarm, removed the broken bench and chairs, added new chairs and folding chairs, and are looking at how to add more kitchen storage space. There is ventilation in the heat lamp in the bathroom; one wall switch controls the heat lamp, and the other switch controls the exhaust fan. Thank you!

Nothing fancy. Just the essentials for a couple nights on the beach where the main attraction is outside not inside. Wouldn't recommend the full eight guests unless there are a greater number of smaller children.
ELERCY C. Oct 2017
We enjoyed everything about this place. We had a party of 7 and everyone sleeps comfortably. We had a nice view; tv , couch, rooms, kitchen and very close to the beach.
Phyllisia A. Sep 2017
Beautiful view of the ocean. Cute little fire place. Nice fire pit for making Smores. Close to the beach and stores. Cold at night. 30 minute drive to Newport.

While there were some small things we didn't enjoy, our stay overall was great!! The view was good, house was clean, everything was exactly as promised. We could hear the waves from our windows and even with neighbors, we felt pretty secluded! I couldn't ask for much more given the price I paid.

However, I wouldn't recommend 8 people stay here! There were 4 of us and we were just perfect for space. Any more people would become crowded as there is minimal storage space and only one bathroom. The beds weren't super comfy (but that's expected) and I definitely would bring a fan with me in the future!

Our biggest reason for not giving this place 5 stars was the bugs and spiders. Outside our door was covered in webs, spiders, and bugs being saved for dinner. Inside the house we found a couple bugs every single day and a few spiders overall. Gross to me and makes it hard to comfortably sleep. However, we were downstairs and the environment is ideal for bugs, so we were understanding.

This room was the home base for our wedding party weekend. We loved the view and the location. It was perfect. The only issue is that we had no place to hang anything or put anything away.
Maria M. Aug 2017
Overall it's a cute place close the beach that just needs a minor improvements. It was dirty when we got to the property so I had to clean. There was a lot of roly-poly's and spiders but it's a cute place to stay in especially because it's a short walk to the beach!
Stevanie F. Aug 2017
It's small, but not bad. Though we didn't use it, this rental has a cute fireplace, as well as a fire pit right outside. You do share your "yard" with other renters though. Vacasa provided lots of towels and toilet paper to last the whole weekend, which was great. Very small kitchenette, no real prep area -we used TE dining table for that. Empty salt and pepper shakers, so be sure to bring your own spices, oil, etc. There's only one mirror in the whole place, so if you have multiple people trying to get ready to leave at the same time, that can be a problem. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away, which was nice.

Great view! Loved our stay on the Oregon coast!
Terresa M. Jul 2017
Close to everything beachy.. kite running, playing in ocean, walking trails, beaches, shopping. We loved the fire pit and making s'mores!
Michael G. Jul 2017
Not fancy but very quiet and super clean and comfortable, Can't beat it for the price for sure.
Brittney F. Jul 2017
The room was not clean and had some maintenance issues, but the location and view were awesome!
Manager response:
It is great to see that this guest was able to enjoy location and view that the Garden has to offer! We're sorry to see that this guest had maintenance issues during their stay. Guest services can be reached at any time during your stay at (503) 345-9399 to address any questions or concerns that may come up during your reservation.

This is a very nice hotel and is perfect for family vacations. There is a lovely ocean view and wonderful kitchen facilities. My kids loved the bunk bed and enjoyed the fire pit during our stay. : )
Lynda B. Jul 2017
We had a very nice and short family vacation and got to enjoy the Garden for 2 nights. I'd love to come back and stay longer. The price was perfect for our small budget; hope that is true again next year!
Camila G. Jul 2017
What a neat place to stay. We loved the view, proximity to the beach, and three separate bedrooms. The yard out front was great for kids and pets and the condo was well-kept and comfortable.
Kimchi T. Jun 2017
The property is small. Very clean. It is what you would expect for the price.
Amy C. Jun 2017
We stayed at The Garden for our 5 day family vacation. There were 3 kids and 2 adults. The property was minimalist (no washer/dryer, dishwasher) but it worked well for our family. I would have liked someplace to unpack our clothes but other than that I have no complaints. It was a fantastic location and Justen was very responsive if we had any questions or needed anything during our stay. Best of all the view was amazing.
Patti K. May 2017
Not great but not awful either. Parking is stated as first come first serve, this doesn't mean you won't park close to your unit, it means if you go out at night there won't be a parking spot anywhere. There are more vehicles then parking places. Next, the bathroom has no place to put your toiletries. We used a bedside stand from one of the bedrooms after we moved the lamp to the floor. Also, there are no closets or dressers in the bedrooms so be prepared to have your suitcase on the floor and live out of it. The first thing I noticed upon entering the unit was it smelled of dog. As a owner of two labs I appreciate places that are pet friendly but I don't expect the place to reek of dog. Air freshener or Febreeze would help out here. It smelled like a dog had urinated somewhere in the place and shampooing had not taken care of it. My dogs stayed home this trip but I am glad there are places that accept them. The price was right and you get what you pay for. I won't stay here again. I will pay a little more for a parking place, a dresser, closet with place to hang clothes and coats, a vanity and air freshener.
Manager response:
We apologize for the disappointments and inconveniences this guest experienced. There is one dresser in the unit, and there are shelves above the toilet for guest use. We cannot monitor parking at this time and apologize for any issues this caused our guest.
Alina B. May 2017
We enjoy our stay.
Demarie H. Mar 2017
It's a great location to spend time at and the beach is only a short walk away. The view is amazing.
Teresa L. Mar 2017
Great place to stay the weekend! We arrived at night and the condo was abbot hard to find but I called the number on the reservation email and they helped us. The instructions are very thorough but you have to keep on walking into the grassy area down a set of wood stairs to get to the room which is named Dolfin G for Garden.
