This place is AWESOME! Close to everything youd ever need in Boise, sparkling clean, just super cozy & feels just like home! All my Boise trips are going to be booked here!

A very nice but very small home, Were there things wrong, absolutely but the price was more then reasonable, the place was very clean and even though my wife and I both were extremely ill, we were able to make ourselves comfortable.

Close to shopping and restaurants, I recommend this cottage for a comfortable and economic stay.

Cute little secluded bungalow on the bench in Boise. Comfortable and Quiet.
Cindy K. Nov 2019
This is a comfy tiny cottage stay. Easy access, clean, only thing you might need for a short stay. Good price for the value.
Glenn M. Sep 2019
Had a hard time finding it at night. Bring a flashlight! We recommend that the building # be placed on the gate and that it be lit. It was pitch dark. Despite this negative, it was clean and comfortable bedroom.
The bathroom lacks the room for ablutions. Basically it is a water closet. It has a shower and toilet. What they consider a sink is a bowl with a faucet/toilet flush button built onto the toilet tank cover. So when you flush the toilet, the water that normally fills the tank is redirected through the faucet as a way to save water by using the gray water (waste water) to fill the tank.
Unfortunately, no room to brush your teeth or shave. Had to use kitchen sink.
If you're flexible this place is fine, but if you are looking for a standard suite experience, I would think twice about booking this. BTW. futon bed. Slept really well.

Close enough to walk to downtown.
Robert F. Jun 2019
It was cozy and clean. The bed is very comfortable.

We liked this cute little house. The location is quiet and safe. The only issue I had was there were no outlets in the bathroom. So ladies, I suggest you bring a mirror that you can set on the table and do your hair and makeup. The bathroom is also tiny. I didn’t mind, but if you are a big person, this could be quite an issue for you. My husband is 5’10 180lbs and it was okay for him. Also, our son came to visit us and he is 6’2”. He grazed his head on a beam in the living room. With all that said, it’s still adorable and the bed was super comfy, I would recommend this “little gem by the Depot.”

This stay was very nice! Boise is my hometown and this little charming mother-in-law is a good representation of what living in Boise is like. It is in a great location to access downtown, east Boise, and hop toward the freeway if needed. The bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom is pretty small if you weigh over 125 lbs, and it’s definitely not a bathroom that affords opportunity for multiple folks to access it at one time if necessary. Instructions for the toilet would be great for future visitors (though it is not hard to figure out on your own if you poke around). Overall, a good stay for a few days— especially as a base camp if you’re visiting family and friends in the area.

This was a great, cozy little cottage perfect for exploring Boise for the weekend. It has everything you cooking dinner and cuddling up to a nice movie during a rain storm. The bathroom is definitely tiny and you can't use the sink independent of flushing the toilet, but with only 2 people it was fine. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Location, charm, bed,cleanliness....yard with table, view of depot
Darryl N. Apr 2018
It was a quiet location close to down town. We walked to Boise Centre each day of our say.
Terrance R. Mar 2018
I loved my trip and the place we stayed at.
Chris M. Feb 2018
An absolute Gem of a cottage, could nt have had a better stay. The place felt like home away from home as soon as you walked through the door. Its a very cosy home with everything there that you would need. We would have loved to have stayed longer and will certainly remember this cottage for next time, can't recommend it highly enough. It's a perfect getaway for two people whatever the occasion and is handy to everywhere.

Parking can be an issue. Property in front tends to take over.
Ron M. Dec 2017
Small house worked fine for a couple. Good location but needed short drive to access greenbelt, downtown and campus.
Krista M. Oct 2017
The cottage was really cute. Very clean and had what I needed. Was thankful for extra blankets as it was getting a little chilly at night. Debbie and the local staff are great!
BilliJo K. Oct 2017
The house was clean and private. Perfect for two.
Cathy S. Sep 2017
House was VERY clean and quiet. Great location to everywhere we needed to be. The whole process was super simple. Would definitely recommend.
Jay L. Jul 2017
Easy, clean and close! Just right for my recent trip!
Chris Y. Jun 2017
Nice place to stay. Clean, bright, well equipped, comfortable bed, good location. One note. If you are tall or big boned you will find the bath room and shower a little cramped. We would stay here in the future.
Robert M. May 2017
Really enjoyed our stay here! Very cute and clean place. Beware if you're over 6 feet lol bumped my head on a ceiling cross beam in the bedroom! Definitely would come back here again.
Marcia H. Apr 2017
The cottage is a good price, has a comfortable bed and a quiet location. It might be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The tiny bathroom, with the combo sink and toilet, would not be for everyone. It worked for our short stay.
Jeremy B. Apr 2017
Very clean and comfortable. Bathroom is a small, but otherwise this is a nice place to stay.
Jammie M. Apr 2017
The bathroom is very small so be aware of the fact that you can't turn the sink on without flushing the toilet since the sink is part of the toilet. Also the shower head doesn't move much so you kinda have to be pressed against the wall in order to soap up and such. Other than that the place was absolutely adorable!! The bed is so comfortable, all the furniture is for that matter!! Oh and one of the nicest part was the amazing washer and dryer set it was so convenient. It's in a great location close to downtown but far enough so it isn't loud. Overall it was a great stay and I hope it will be available the next time I go to Boise!!
MJ T. Mar 2017
Great house but tight quarters if you are tall. Good location. Very clean.
LAURA K. Feb 2017
Great stay for a couple. Super cheap compared to other rentals. Toilet was funny, but fitting for the tiny house style accommodations. Nice little fenced yard for better weather. Great stay, all in all!
Deborah D. Jan 2017
This owner has set up their space wonderfully! Well stocked, and cared for! Easy access to all things Boise and the airport. Our adult kids also rented the house in front of the cottage. Together it was a great space for the 12 of us to gather, eat, play games etc. Internet worked well, but would appreciate at least basic cable in the cottage to access up to date news.
Susan N. Jan 2017
Lovely little cottage in the heart of Boise. Great area to stay, central to everything.
Victoria M. Dec 2016
I enjoyed the house and garden with my grandson and family even though it was already getting cold. The heating was good. It was a very pleasant stay the house was warm and cozy and very clean. I loved the lock system, no fear of losing keys. I would stay here again. Vacasa made it simple and easy.
Diane Q. Nov 2016
The cottage was neat and clean with new appliances and a small propane fireplace. A lot of thought and work has been done. The neighborhood is older but very quiet and so convenient to EVERYTHING in Boise. We will definitely stay again.
Christina R. Oct 2016
Cozy and perfect for 2!!! It was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the water conservation with the sink attached to toilet; however, if you are looking for warm water to wash your hands you will want to use kitchen sink. Fully stocked kitchen, huge comfortable bed and cozy living room will have me renting this plave in our future trips to Boise!
Alice B. Oct 2016
This cottage is spacious and reasonably priced. Like the other cottage on the property, the cottage was recently remodeled. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Unlike a motel room, I could stay up late in the living room without disturbing my spouse's sleep in the bedroom. We will be back!
Mike K. Oct 2016
Cute house located in an older residential area. The house itself was fine but the bathroom lacked amenities and the toilet/sink combo was amusing but not very functional. We also couldn't get any cable TV channels to work. Wouldn't stay at this VRBO again.
Trevor J. Sep 2016
This location was perfect for exploring Boise - either by foot or car. We walked to and from downtown or the college - or used a rideshare when needed - with no problem. Short run down to the the river to run along the greenbelt trail system.

The unit itself is perfect for two people. We were a little nervous with the neighbor's dog next door as we arrived after dark, but after chatting with the neighbor (friendly guy) we were won over. The house is somewhat a diamond in the rough in the neighborhood - but I would definitely recommend the property to others and would stay there again.
Sadie B. Sep 2016
My hubby and I spent our honeymoon here. Nice quiet location tucked off a side street, but only a few miles from a lot of the city. Will definitely try to stay here again someday.
James R. Aug 2016
Price is right for a quick stay. Would not recommend for a comfy vacation.
Sierra F. Aug 2016
The gem cottage was a very cozy place to stay for my week trip to Boise! I loved having a home away from home. The only complaint I have is they only have a window unit and the bedroom does get a bit warm. Otherwise, it was great, very clean and cozy!
Barbara G. Aug 2016
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which was the perfect size for two people, and possibly could accommodate small children as well. It was convenient to the events we attended in Boise and the places we wanted to see. Off street parking was great. The cottage is enclosed in a wooden privacy fence. The little yard has landscaping in progress, and a little bistro table and chairs for enjoying good weather. When we arrived, we were greeted warily by an American bulldog mix in the next yard adjacent to our parking, which initially made us anxious. As it turns out, she was extremely friendly and nothing to worry about. The very small negatives (mentioned by other reviewers) were the water efficient sink connected to the toilet in the bathroom, and the fact that the extreme temperatures the week we were there taxed the kitchen window air conditioner's ability to keep the entire space cool in the hottest late afternoon to evening hours. late night and the first half of the day were very pleasant. The cottage has a full size washer/dryer, which was useful, and a fully stocked kitchen, minus dishwasher (not a negative for us). The negatives were minor and would not prevent us from visiting there again. We had a great time in Boise and the cottage added to our enjoyment.
Richard L. Aug 2016
I definitely recommend this place. The bathroom is smallish shower is a step up and step down, so someone with mobility issues might have problems. But I didn't have any problems at all. Great place.
Astrid M. Jul 2016
We loved downtown, the farmers market was amazing and we were only about 30 minutes from Ste Chapelle winery which we recommend to everyone!!! Such a beautiful place. Also, Goldie's is overrated and we preferred going to breakfast to Bardenays who had AMAZING fresh breakfast and French toast!
Jean H. Jul 2016
First off, let me say that, we had s pleasant stay here & enjoyed it's close proximity to everything. Just a couple of things to help future guests It would have been good to have a courtesy note provided on the following -
1) The oven does not work, it was stone cold regardless of temperature. As the stovetop elements work fine, we were dismayed we could use the oven. In our case it wasn't that big of a deal, but we'd be surprised if the owner is not aware of this & a courtesy note could've been helpful as we would have avoided buying groceries that required the oven. 2) In the bathroom regarding the toilet - it's awesome that the owner is into water conservation. A courtesy note would've been helpful to indicate this:"When pushing the button on the toilet, it will make the water run on a timer. So, anytime you want water to brush teeth, etc., you need to push the button on the top of the sink & it will then flush the toilet & in turn fill the toilet with that water. Not ideal for toddlers - use the step stool near the washer/dryer unit & use the kitchen sink."
Manager response:
We're glad that this guest enjoyed their stay! We were unaware that the oven was broken until after this stay, and it has since been replaced.
Rachael L. Jul 2016
It is a great little (and I stress " little") place for the location and price. Clean, cute, comfortable bed and pillows. TV had Netflix/prime, etc. all included and easy to use. Nice to have laundry facilities, as well. Very very very small bathroom and no real sink in bathroom. Nothing fancy but def better staying here than a mid range hotel!
Adrian H. Jun 2016
I love this place. It's cute, quiet, private. Very comfortable and well appointed. Conveniently located.
Keri T. Jun 2016
Wonderful little cottage! Perfect for our stay- wish we could have stayed longer.
Vicki W. Jun 2016
I loved this place hidden behind a private fence. Clean, cute and fun to stay in. They are working on yard and it is halfway done. This place is great now and when they are finished with the yard it will be even better.
Kevin M. Jun 2016
The bathroom sink was part of the toilet tank, so every time you turned on the sink you flush the toilet. I wonder how water efficient they really is?? The unit was very clean, all the basics were supplied. location to downtown was great.
Jack B. Jun 2016
Overall, this is a nice little cottage in a good location. the interior was clean and updated with everything you need for comfortable stay. If you stay here, be prepared for a tiny bathroom without a sink. There is something resembling a sink on top of the toilet tank, but it is extremely small, you have to straddle the toilet bowl to use it, and it only runs cold water. We just used the kitchen sink for washing hands, brushing teeth, etc.
Paul L. May 2016
Very clean w/well furnished kitchen. Older but safe area of Boise. For older couples bathroom might be an issue. Step down into the room and high step in and out of shower. Probably no issue for younger people. We had a very nice stay.
Barbara P. May 2016
Very quaint, quiet, great location for walking to green belt.
