The living room and the adjacent dining nook are warmed by a wood-burning stove, allowing you to comfortably dine on a hearty stew, curl up on the sofa, and watch Netflix favorites on the flatscreen TV at the end of the day. Just through the living room is a small but well-equipped kitchen, with a gas grill waiting outside to assist you with summer barbecues. In the warmer months, you can walk home from a day spent swimming or kayaking, kick back on the enclosed front porch as you plan your next adventure using the free WiFi, and take off the lake's chill by gathering for stories and s'mores around the firepit.

I was travelling with my family of four to Maine and had planned for a day of boating at Moosehead Lake. This place is close by in Greenville, ME and it looked like a good place to grab good food and relax before and after the boating.

The cabin was easy to find, Google maps led me to it without any issues. Check-in was smooth, the key was left in the lockbox outside the cabin and the lock code was provided in the email. The cabin was reasonably clean and well furnished with usual amenities. Kitchen had coffee, sugar etc. so we could relax once we were there. The bed was comfortable and the pull-out couch was alright. There were cob webs in some places in the cabin but I guess that's part of the cabin living.

The only reason for giving this cabin a 4 start is that the cabin does not have any air-conditioning. To be fair the cabin description was truthful and didn't mention air-conditioning. It was a miss on our part to check for it. However, we landed in a situation when the cabin was warm on our arrival and we had to keep the doors open for it to cool down. The nights were cool and it was comfortable after a while.

I would recommend this cabin for the winter if you are planning activities in the beautiful Maine.
