Loved our stay and this quiet get away! Only down side is that we couldn’t stay longer!

The fire pit and the beach were great. The home was very clean. I would change the paint pallet and decor though and make it look like a beach house.

The beach is very close and the views are stunning. We will be back!

Great small space with oceans sounds all night long. Fire pit overlooking ocean and Adirondack chairs. Brought my 5 year old for a mommy daughter trip overnight. And we both loved it.

The views were the best!

other than a toilet that was a problem, it is a nice place.
We appreciate the guests feedback. The toilet has since been repaired and is in perfect working condition.

Perfect for the two of us and our dog. Very quiet part of the beach. Beautiful view.

The property has outstanding ocean views. There was a problem with the screen door, and a very dangerously slick bathtub. The bedroom could use some drapes.
David W.Jul 2018
The most beautiful location with amazing views. Private location but only few minutes from both Cannon Beach and the town of Manzanita.

Absolutely beautiful house and the view is amazing!!

We had a nice stay at the Studio at Bears Head. It is just as described. Very well kept and clean. The deck is quite private as it sets back from the main house and deck shared with the other unit. Nice clean bar-b-que on the desk which makes up for the “tiny” kitchen. Kitchen was pretty well equipped for a closet. Microwave and bar-b-que were sufficient for our cooking needs. Only thing I would have wished for was a way to make ice.
Main room was comfy although the couch is a futon. Smart TV and fast internet let us snuggle up and watch movies on Amazon and listen to music on Pandora.
Bath is normal, a bit of staining on the grout, but this is the coast. Lots of nice towels and hotel condiments.
Bedroom is fine. Not too much bigger than the king bed, but fine. Bed was comfortable and snuggly with the duvet.
The location is great, nice yard on a bluff over the surf. Beach is rocky. Access is a short walk down the road. The neighborhood is small and tucked into the forest for a true Northwest feel. Roads are quiet for a morning walk.
My wife has a high standard for a clean house and I always worry. This one met her standards. Nice work.
While this is a two room apartment with a closet kitchen, it was perfect for a long weekend for two people. We’ll be back next trip to the coast.

The property view is stunning, and rooms were very adequate. But owner wanted to charge me $25 to mail a $10 phone charger that I left in room when I checked out. This is not a big deal, and I am sure that is the rule. However, to bring me back or to have me recommend to someone else, a little kindness and graciousness, of offering to mail back without fee, would of gone a long ways for a recommendation to others.

Cozy cottage. The wind rain and storm made the cottage even more cozy. We braved the beach a few times where there were thousands of stranded jellyfish. And we got to see some really big waves crashing about. If you like photography go during a storm!
I go there again, in fact I wish I was there right now.

Cozy, nice place that was great for a long weekend. Really enjoyed the firepit in the back. There was a grill on the back porch but no grill tools, so bring your own if you'd like to use it.
The BBQ utensils are located in the kitchenette. Guests are always welcome to call for assistance if they cannot find something they think should be a provided amenity. Thank you!

This is an amazing location for a couple or single person. Prime location for visiting both manzanita and cannon beach. Will definitely be back!

My sister and I like to make new memories this time of year ... I did research on areas that we haven't stayed in the past and found this gem. It was perfect for our 2-3 day getaway. The view is fantastic. The studio is very well appointed. The housekeeping was very good. I'm sure this will be on our minds next year when we plan our little fall vacation. Thank you Tracy for helping me clear up the reservation problem(s) I had with Booking.com

This place is perfect to get away from the tourists. It was nice that were so close to wonderful towns when u want to get grocery and shop.
Dustin D.Feb 2017
The view from the yard is spectacular. The sounds of the ocean were plainly heard from inside, with the door/window open.
Other public access beaches are close by and accessible by short drive (the beach access we walked to was washed out during our visit in February 2017).
If I return, I'll bring a pot and pan for cooking - toaster oven and microwave and double electric burner are your resources, if you want to cook.

I almost don't want to leave this review so that the unit will be available for futurr trips, however it desrrves the recognition. It was the perfect spot for a romantic weekend getaway, close enough to Cannon Beach to easily head into town but a much more secluded vibe being out of the hustle and bustle. The unit is in Oswald State park so the natural beauty is off the charts and the view of the Ocean right from the living room is breathtaking. Couldn't recommend more highly, we'll be back!

The place was nice and good price. Watch out for the dirt road to the spot.
big pot holes and there is no cell phone service.

Great location! Easy access to beach and surrounding areas. But furnishings of the property were worn and there was dog hair, cob webs, and dust present.

Don't want the secret to get out.

A perfect retreat spot for one person, especially if the larger house is not occupied (which for me it was not). The view and proximity to the ocean is worth it in and of itself, and the deck is a great spot to sit and watch the waves. The rocky beach is not ideal for dogs, especially older arthritic ones, but there are lots of roads to walk around and enjoy the scenery. A great place to get away from it all!

Highly recommend this property

Cute little house in awesome area S of Cannon Beach-near GREAT hikes off Hwy 101-with private beach and great views. We stayed in the smaller side of the house and unfortunately had guests on the bigger side, so some privacy was lost. Older, worn furniture and not super clean, but had basic amenities we needed for breakfast. It's the location that would bring us back ~ if we returned, NOT so much the house itself.....

be prepared to share the space with other renters
We appreciate your review. This studio is on a property with the main Bear's Head home. They can be rented together or separate. Thanks for choosing Vacasa!

I would highly recommend this property for a beach getaway. No crowds, great view of the ocean, comfortable quarters. You won't be disappointed.
Steve C.Jul 2014
nice beach, clean rooms, away from the bustle of the city.
Leanne P.Jul 2014
Arch Cape is a great place and the house has the spectacular ocean view it promises! We rented the Studio at Bear's Head and were initially concerned about privacy, but it really wasn't an issue. There's even a nice deck space with a wall that makes you feel divided from the party in the main part of the house. I'd recommend this to people (because of space probably just couples) who aren't super picky about modern furnishings and can do with basic amenities. I plan to visit this place again next year!
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. The views are indeed amazing. Thank you for pointing out that there is ample privacy from the main home. We hope to see you again next year!

Perfect romantic getaway. Two minutes walk to the beach, private, quiet with an amazing view and no crouds or tourists to deal with. Couldn't have asked for a better place.
Jeremy G.May 2013
4 nights was just enough time to begin to acclimatize to the coast. Next time we might stay longer & get a bigger accomodation -- the attached house would be a better choice, especially for a longer stay.
Beth B.Apr 2013
We loved this little gem of a place. Spectacular setting. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Nicely situated midway between Manzanita and Cannon Beach and so close to hiking opportunities. And access to the beach was just a couple blocks down the lane. Would definitely stay here again.
Sandy W.Nov 2012
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I will not recommend since from the photos it looks like you are much closer to the beach. I was unaware there was a cliff preventing me easy access to the beach. Next time I would look for something in Cannon Beach even though there are more tourists there.
