Updated, Century-Old Home w/ Glass Porch & Fireplace - Walk into Town/Acadia

Built at the turn of the century and thoughtfully updated with modern comfort in mind, this charming home will give you a wonderful glimpse of historic Bar Harbor. Here on the edge of Glen Mary Park on the southwest side of the village, you'll be able to walk to the heart of downtown, the oceanfront shore path, and Acadia National Park.

Upon entering this single-level home, you'll be greeted by the original front porch with wrap-around walls of glass that frame views of neighboring Glen Mary Park. Step inside to find a living room that's warmed by a wood-burning fireplace, a full kitchen with white appliances (including a dishwasher for stress-free clean-up), and an adjacent dining room where you can sit down for homemade meals. Toss the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer, head outside for a barbecue on the gas grill and an al fresco dinner on the fenced-in back patio, and end the evening with a movie on the flatscreen TV in the family room. When it's time to turn in, you'll have four bedrooms to choose from - a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, another queen bedroom, and two bedrooms with a pair of twin beds apiece.

What's nearby:
This home is located on the edge of Glen Mary Park in the village of Bar Harbor, with the center of town only half a mile northeast. You'll be able to walk to the Bar Harbor Shore Path that traces the ocean coast, as well as a number of wonderful shops, cafes, and restaurants in town. The boundary of Acadia National Park is immediately south, allowing you to reach the Park Loop Road within minutes whether you're walking, riding your bike, or driving.
