Private waterfront home w/ large deck and deep water dock!

Surround yourself with breathtaking river and forest views when you escape to this secluded Georgetown home, a beautiful waterfront retreat with a wrap-around deck, an abundance of Midcoast Maine atmosphere, and a private deep water dock on the Sasanoa River.

Gorgeously situated only 200 feet from the water's edge on the cove known as both the Sasanoa River and Robinhood Cove, this two-level home is ideal for kayakers, boating enthusiasts, foliage watchers, and families in search of quiet and scenic relaxation. The cove is saltwater, and since it has calm waters it's a family-friendly option. You'll be just five miles from the village of Georgetown, nine miles from the historic shipbuilding city of Bath, and 10 miles from the lovely shores of Reid State Park.

Whether you're looking to explore the Midcoast by boat, by car, or on foot, this expansive piece of peninsula property provides wonderful access to serene waterways and lovely seascapes.

With towering knotty pine ceilings and three walls of windows, the bright and airy great room was designed to maximize the stunning river view. Curl up in the window seat as you watch for wildlife in the surrounding woods, or sit down with a book in the warmth of the wood-burning stove (wood is even provided).

Spend a day sailing past the historic Cuckolds Light at the mouth of the Sheepscot River, and return home to gather your family on the sofas for a night in front of the flatscreen cable TV, DVD player, and VCR. There's WiFi so you can upload pictures to show your friends what amazing things you're up to.

With the renowned Five Islands Lobster Co. just eight miles away, you'll never be far from freshly dug steamers, local mussels, and live and cooked lobsters. And you'll have plenty of space to prepare them in the full kitchen, which offers generous cabinet space, a variety of cooking tools, and even a dishwasher to help clean up.

Enjoy breakfast as a family around the dining table for eight before moving outside to bask in the magnificent outdoor space. Walk down to the dock to launch your sea kayak, play a game of cards at the patio table, or simply enjoy the river view from the expansive deck.

The knotty pine decor continues in the two bedrooms and the loft space, which combine to accommodate as many as six people. The light-filled master bedroom features both a queen and a twin bed, and opens onto the deck to enjoy wonderful sunrise views. The main floor guest room has two full-size beds, while the upstairs loft space offers a queen-size bed.

You'll find one full bathroom and two half-baths on the main floor, as well as a private washer and dryer to keep your summer wardrobe fresh.

Beloved by fishermen, birders, seafood enthusiasts, and artists, Georgetown offers a quiet and beautiful glimpse of life in Midcoast Maine. Paddle your kayak down the Sasanoa River to reach the Josephine Newman Audubon Sanctuary, a 119-acre expanse of marshland, meadows, and avian habitats.

You also won't want to miss out on the stunning shoreline of Reid State Park, where you can stroll in the sun on Mile Beach, observe endangered least terns, and enjoy unforgettable views of the Seguin Island Light Station, the Cuckolds Light, and Hendricks Head Light.

The natural wonders of Midcoast Maine await - book your stay at this wonderful Georgetown home today! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Absolutely amazing place, I shouldn't leave this review because we want to come back every year and don't want it to be all booked up. The location and home are much better than the pictures, and if you think "Maine, on the water, with privacy" you get the picture. This place is fantastic.

Quiet, simple, well-equipped.

This house was my favorite of 4 locations on a trip to Maine.. The location is amazing.. SO private.. the house is very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking.. It was hard to leave to go exploring because we didn't want to leave the house.. It was like being on an island by yourself. SO peaceful.. My only regret is we only stayed 3 nights. I would book this place without hesitation!

Peaceful private retreat❤️ Everything was perfect. We didn’t want to leave.

The place was a bit of a splurge for us -- but we found ourselves extremely satisfied with our decision to do so. The location was secluded, tranquil, and well appointed. We cooked in the substantial kitchen, and we enjoyed the passage of each day from the garden/deck/living room which had the perfect orientation toward the water. We recommend the place highly!

What a great place for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
The leaves were beautiful. We felt so off the beaten trail and yet it was so close to so many great things.

The house is smaller than looks in pics, but was fine for 2 moms and 3 teens. We loved the configuration of the house with windows on 3 sides and a big screen porch. The house is old, but doesn't feel that way. The only place you notice the age is in the kitchen with older appliances and pots and pans with no lids. One of the burners on the stove took super long to heat. Minor inconveniences when we spent most of our time exploring. Perfect location away from it all, but only minutes away from the little town of Georgetown or the bigger town of Bath.
We also explored the Boothbay peninsula and our fav lighthouse was Pemequid. Also love the old cemetaries.

This is a beautiful home in a very quiet, private location on the river. It is exactly what we look for in a vacation rental.

Secluded, quiet. Great wood stove for cool evenings. Loved taking our two young boys out fishing. Had a blast watching lobster boats work the river with binos. Overall great spot for kids to explore and hike. Just watch the dock on cool mornings when there is dew on it. It is super slippery!

We often stop off for a couple of days in midcoast Maine on our way to summer vacation in Nova Scotia. We have friends there and usually have stayed in motels. When I found this house that was available for two nights on Vacasa I showed it to my wife who instantly said "can we stay three nights?' We did and the experience couldn't have been better. Easy booking with Vacasa who were extremely helpful with all the information we needed to make it all easy. This property is one of the most peaceful, quiet places we've ever stayed. Right on Robinhood Cove and no neighbors in sight in any direction. Very comfortable mattresses also which also can be one of my biggest complaints when travelling. We want to go back again and spend a week sometime.

This is a very well-appointed cottage on Robinhood Cove, Georgetown Island, Maine. We found it most satisfactory, all amenities as described. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in this idyllic setting.

I found this property on the Internet and am so glad I did. We attended an anniversary party in Georgetown at the Grey Havens Inn and did not want to drive all the way back to Bath after the party. This home has fabulous views of the water, is bright and sunny, and very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, and found it cozy in the late evening to be inside out of the chilly air. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with queen bed and one with two double beds. In the queen room, there is a private bathroom. The other bedroom requires a walk across the hall. Each bath room shared the shower which was fine with us. There is also a loft upstairs, a sleeping couch in the living room and other twin beds around so the house sleeps quite a lot of people. Its a little tired in the kitchen area, could use some sprucing up. Linens were threadbare and I recommended they might want to upgrade those. However, we really enjoyed ourselves, relaxed, slept well, and would definitely go back if in the area again. Its a really great house.
