** CONSTRUCTION: There will be general (throughout the building, including the lobby) and balcony construction at the Alexander Building through December 2019. This may prevent use of the balcony and create more noise than usual. Due to the construction, the upper pool is closed. The lower pool is open. The Tiki bar is open Thursday through Sunday.

*** The Fitness Center is under renovation until the end of the year. No access is allowed.

The unit it’s self was very nice, clean spacious, bright and suited us 6 well! The hotel was was under a lot of renovation, but once done it’s goung to look great! The free trolly was nice to get to places not much close by to get food shopping done! The bay in the front of the building is beautiful and the view of the ocean on the balcony is really nice! This unit did the job for the 2 day that were there! The only down fall was the elevators took forever to come and only one pool was opened! But after all is done I’d go back again after renovation are all done! It’s going to look great!

we stayed one night and we were very happy. The condo was clean, affordable and comfortable. The building is still undergoing renovations and one pool remains closed. We enjoyed the day at the beach. The chairs and umbrella at the beach was not included. We did have a partial ocean view and it was very peaceful and the scene was very nice. Valet was on point, bellhop and staff were friendly amd kind.

I loved the amenities and the accessories the apartment and building offered, but there's a lot of detail that needs to be addressed. The hallway carpet needs a good scrubbing or to be replaced altogether. The suite needs a mew paint job, a few more coats to be exact. There are several paint peels in one of the showers which I took pictures of as I feel this was a disservice and something that could have been repaired beforehand. Two lamps in the suite did not work. small stuff that could have been addressed beforehand. The door code didn't work upon checking in. The freezer took 24 hours to actually began freezing our foods. This is something the property could have addressed before we checked in. The biggest disappointment was the screw in the door that prevented the door from closing, something that should have been given attention before we checked in. Overall stay was enjoyable. Better maintenance is necessary.

We are sorry to see this guest had so many concerns with their stay. With the whole building under renovation the hallways carpets have become quite dirty. These carpets will be changed out by the end of the year, and this unit is scheduled to be painted before the end of June. Maintenance is scheduled to address the appliances, and we have been able to locate any screws keeping any doors open. Thank you!

Ongoing construction was not much of an issue. Great location right on the beautiful beach. Much quieter than South Beach. Unit needed a large skillet and a blender. We bought a blender and left it for future guests.
We really enjoyed the unit and property.

Over all we had a great stay. The location was awesome with the condo being right on the beach, and easy access to the free trolly that would take us to south Miami. However, we were told upfront that there will be construction on the balconies but there was extensive renovation throughout the property. The two biggest disappointments were that we were told there are two pools on the property, one of which was closed, and the description also mentioned an on-site restaurant that was also closed. Another thing was that we were told that parking was $26/ a day but was actually $28, not that it’s a big deal but it would have been nice to know the real price. Either way we did have a nice stay and I wouldn’t mind coming again, I would just call ahead of time to confirm everything we are told through the description on the website.

We apologize for the surprises this guest experienced. The parking rate changed recently, so we have updated that information. We are also doing our best to update construction notes as we get them, but we do often find advertised amenities shut down without warning. We apologize if this stay was not as relaxing as we would have hoped.

We stayed at the Alexander in January 2018. The Apartment was very nice and clean and there was plenty of room.Check in was really easy. Just follow the instructions sent by Vacasa. There is no need to check in to the hotel only to pay for parking $26 daily if you have a car. There were a few issues that we alerted Vacasa about when we arrived. The Bathtub did not work as a tub only the shower functioned. Also the oven door did not close properly. Someone came down to look right away but nothing was repaired during the week we were there. The apartment is right there when you get off of the elevator. it is also right across from the laundry machines ($1.50 each in quarters for washer and dryer.) and garbage chute.The Alexander is under construction at this time. One of the pools is closed and the access to the pool area is now thru a roundabout way thru a corridor. The outside area was nice and they supply you with towels and lounges for free. Because of the construction the pool area can be loud at times. Banging and drilling and other construction noises can be heard outside. It doesn't look like the work will be done anytime soon. If you want a peaceful quiet place I would not stay at the Alexander until the work is done. This is not to take anything away from the apartment itself which was rathe nice.

Water leaked from ceiling, a piece of dry ceiling feel due to the water infiltration, the tv in the guest bedroom did not have any signal, the wifi never worked, we kept receiving the wrong wifi info from vacasa until they just did not respond to my emails after a couple of attempts to get it right. Also, when we arrived we were given the wrong door code so my guests had to wait about an hour for someone at vacasa to find the correct code. The condo is by the elevators, too much noise until late hours.

We are sorry to see this guest was disappointed with the state of their accommodations. The Property Manager was required to change the code last minute due to an attempt at a fraudulent reservation. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused upon check-in. The TV has been replaced, and the internet has been fixed. This property was clean & a somewhat updated "cottage-feel". It had plenty of space for (4) of us to move around, sleep, etc. It has a full kitchen, which was very nice b/c grocery & restaurants weren't exactly within walking distance. If you don't mind having to drive/Uber to places to eat, go out, etc., this is a great location with the beach within steps of the property's back gate.

ack of kitchen basics, like a sheet pan, wine opener, knives for cooking (only had 4 steak knives). The sheets in the master were stained and had a rip in them, and a few of the towels were so worn they had holes. The wireless did not work, and while provided information to fix, it would require a phone call to the internet provider, while on vacation. The hassle of trying to get the problem fixes while not the account holder was not worth my time.
