Wake up in the heart of wine country when you stay at this one-bedroom Fredericksburg cabin, a beautiful Texas Hill Country retreat that offers four tasting rooms on the property, dog-friendly accommodations, a private wood-burning fireplace, and a wonderful location on the Highway 290 Wine Trail.
Beautifully situated just six miles outside of historic downtown Fredericksburg, this traditional stone cabin is part of the Historic Rocky Cottage, a charming five-cabin property that is ideal for wine enthusiasts. These elegant private suites can either be rented together, for as many as 12 people, or individually by couples and solo travelers. This listing includes the Champagne Suite, located in a gorgeous historic log and chink building facing the shared courtyard.
Whether you're planning a romantic weekend or a group getaway with friends, you'll find Fiesta Winery and Six Shooter Cellars right next door, Alexander Vineyards and Rancho Ponte Vineyards less than one mile away, and Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site only 13 miles away.
The interior living space is full of rustic atmosphere, but offers plenty of luxurious modern convenience. Take a seat and admire the vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams, bring a book along to read in the comfortable rocking chair, or enjoy the warmth of the stone fireplace on the soft leather sofa.
Spend a day exploring the serene landscapes of Enchanted Rock State Natural Area just 23 miles north, and return home to browse the WiFi or relax with your loved one in front of the flatscreen TV.
Enjoy freshly brewed coffee in your cabin each morning, but please be advised that there is no kitchen. Yet you'll hardly notice its absence as you enjoy meals at Vaudeville, the Cabernet Grill, Otto's, and other wonderful restaurants in and around Fredericksburg.
Just beyond your front door, you'll have use of a lovely shaded courtyard with mature trees and a spa-like waterfall fountain. And on most Saturday afternoons, you'll enjoy live music performances and wine tasting courtesy of Fiesta Winery!
At night, the Champagne Suite can accommodate as many as two guests in its one-bedroom, one-bathroom space. The bedroom features rustic wood paneled walls and a king-size bed with a floral coverlet. The spacious full bathroom has a large vanity and a stall shower. Feel free to bring your dog for a small, nightly pet fee (please note a 30 lb weight limit).
With four tasting rooms directly on-site, it can be easy to forget about the many Texas Hill Country beauties that await just beyond the property. There are dozens of wineries and tasting rooms in Gillespie County alone, including the renowned Grape Creek Vineyards and 4.0 Cellars just four miles away.
History lovers will also delight in a visit to downtown Fredericksburg, where you'll find more than 80 sites of interest in the historic district alone, as well as a fantastic seasonal farmers market in Marktplatz Kinderhalle.
Leave your worries and cares behind you - let this Fredericksburg retreat give you the restful vacation you've been waiting for!

My husband and I had a couples weekend with two other couples whose husbands served with him. We were celebrating my birthday, USMC birthday, Veterans Day, and one of the couple’s anniversary. The location was perfect. We were not far from town or any of the vineyards. The vineyards onsite were awesome. The cabins were beyond amazing! Comfortable beds, cozy couches gathered around the fireplace. Only downside was the weather didn’t allow for us to spend evenings on the patio. We stayed in the Champagne room and can’t praise it enough. Will definitely be back.
Took my wife here for our 25th wedding anniversary. She loved the room and we absolutely recommend this place.
Nice romantic stay. We'll be back.
I loved this place. A very peaceful, rustic feel. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely go back!
The Champagne Suite was beautiful, very clean, quiet and a lovely place to stay. I would definitely stay here again (I visited during the week) and I loved how quiet it was. This is a charming place to get away too.
Cozy little cottege, with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay.
The Champagne cottage was clean, comfy, and so cozy. We had a fantastic weekend getaway in this fun, little place and hope to return right back to this spot someday. The staff at Vacasa was super helpful and accommodating in prepping for our arrival, and all the welcoming touches sure show their caring and considerate nature. We were very impressed and very happy here!
This cabin was very cute! I was worried about road noise but we could not hear anything. It is back far enough from road that it is quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Would be a neat place to stay in the fall.

Second time to experience staying in a cabinet for the weekend and this one was fantastic. You can walk out your door and experience great wine and hospitality.
We stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and loved it! The room was fantastic and we loved the grounds. We were tickled with the cake that was left for us and thought it was a great personal touch. We will definitely stay here again!
My wife and I stayed at The Champagne Room for several days July 2018
Had an amazing time. You will not be disappointed.
It was very nice for my husband and I to get away. Very beautiful and the bed was comfortable
I love the cute little suite, walked in to a cute breakfast pastry on the coffee table. Had waters, orange juice, and half and half in the fridge. Cereal, coffee and all the dishes you would need! The bed was comfortable, all the decor was adorable!
Very clean and quiet. Loved the decor and the dessert on the coffee table. Bed was extremely soft and cushiony. Loved the small amount of breakfast supplies on stand and in small refrigerator. Would definitely rent again.
Rustic charm. Convenient location on 290 makes it easy to get to downtown Fredericksburg and local wineries. Also convenient for a visit to Luckenbach.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is VERY clean and I could tell that the staff focused on small things like polishing the wine glasses and dishes. Even with a few other guests staying in the next suite and other cabins, I never knew anyone else was around because it was so quiet and peaceful. If you want to find a great place to stay that is closer to Luckenbach, this is a solid option.
This was such a great place for our honeymoon. We only stayed one night but it was perfect.
We loved our stay , nice place to spend a few days or forever , really great convenience to all locations , ( Downtown , Wild Seed Farm , Luckenbach ) but a little out of the way so its also quiet and cozy ! We'd come back every weekend if we could , thank you guys very much !
We went on a tour of Austin, the Texas hill country, Nashville, Memphis, Mississippi and Cleveland, OH and this was far and away our favorite place we stayed. We enjoyed the log cabin feel and all the amenities provided.
Loved the location, price and cleanliness. Had everything we needed. Bed was cozy and blankets soft. Perfect spot in the middle of where we wanted to be. ❤️ Only drawback was traffic noise but it wasn’t terrible.
We loved everything about the Champagne Suite. A five star rating. We will definitely be going back for a longer stay.
The cottage was in great proximity to town and the wineries. (Only negative was that you could hear the road noise from the highway. That’s the only thing I would change about the location.) The cottage was very clean and homey. We would definitely stay here again. The staff was super nice and accommodating when we checked in. We look forward to going back and checking out some of the other properties you offer.
Great little cottage. Very private but central to 3 wineries. Clean, great bed. Just really nice. Close to Fredericksburg.
Great bed, cabin feel, beautifully decorated, quiet, dog friendly, close to 3 wineries and within 5 minutes of downtown Fredericksburg.
Really enjoyed out stay. Very comfortable and very clean.
We will return and stay again.
The staff in the office was super friendly and the cabin was awesome. Much better than staying in a hotel. Would recommend to any and everyone.
This place was great. Wine tasting onsite. Plus you are on 240, minutes from vineyards & downtown. We went during the week & got to hear a live blues band. Great food all around.
Really comfortable cabin in a nice setting. Clean and neat.
Great place to stay not too far from town but close to all wineries
Very comfortable, reasonably priced suite with large flat screen tv, with milk, cereal, orange juice and wonderful morning pastry for breakfast.
Was a great place to stay. Would recommend it highly.
Very quaint little log cabin and fireplace. Very clean and welcoming. The coffee cake was wonderful. Bring your own fan for the bedroom if you need a little white noise...its really quiet.
The place was comfy, the location was great and very convinient. The only complaint we had(everything else was great!) was that we got no breakfast the second day we were there.
We opened the door and were immediately impressed. This is a very comfortable place. There was coffee, breakfast things, bottled water, everything we could have asked for. Best of all a nice fresh coffee cake we had for breakfast. Fireplace was great. Bed was super comfortable. We had a lovely and relaxing stay.
All of the email and communications were helpful and very clear.
Absolutely loved this cabin. It was very clean, charming and had everything my sister and I needed for a few nights stay in wine country. We did a wine tour and went hiking at enchanted rock, and at the end of the day could still pop into some of the wineries on the property. It was very close to downtown Fredericksburg for shopping and restaurants, but was still a good escape from city life. From making the reservation to checking in, every person I dealt with was super professional and exuded southern hospitality. I would definitely like to come back and stay here again one day!
We had a great time, the place was clean, quiet and close to Fredericksburg.
We spent 3 nights here and it was an amazing retreat. The cabin is nestled between three different wineries but is far enough away from main Fredericksburg that it truely feels like an escape. However, the Main Street is only about 5 minutes away so it was super easy to go eat and shop.
Nice quiet cabin in a good location near everything in Fredericksburg. For the price it was a lot nicer than your average hotel room.
I have stayed in Fredericksburg for years - I will never go back to a hotel - this will be my new home away from home!
We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Loved the cottage. Exactly what we needed for a quick get away from Austin.
This is an awesome place, don't think twice and book it. You will not be disappointed at all.
The suite we stayed in was quiet and beautifully decorated. This is a lovely setting.
Great place to stay. Super cute cabin. Clean, quiet and romantic. Would definitely stay again.
Great location convenient to Fredericksburg and vineyards. The cabin is comfortable and really decorated nicely. A little pricey on the weekends because of the lack of other amenities and any type of room service.
We loved our stay here. The cabin was awesome and the best part was it was pet friendly. The welcome pastry was delicious and the bed linens were amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Charming cabin just outside of the downtown area was perfect for a weekend getaway. There was a coffee cake waiting for us on the coffee table. The area was spacious and very clean! It was very quiet and there are 4 tasting rooms on site for your convenience. We would highly recommmend this to anyone looking to relax for a long weekend! There is a fireplace and a television if you just want to chill but we did not use them.
It was a cute and very quaint cabin. It was very clean. We enjoyed the coffee cake, cereal, and orange juice that came with the room. The bed was a little hard for my liking but we werr still able to get a full nights rest.
Being 6 miles away from main street got us away from the hustle and bustle of all the spring breakers in fredricksburg!
Will stay again on future trips!
I'm used to country life, so this was a great way to take a small trip without having to deal with crowds and lack of parking.
Nice living room with fireplace, and the breakfast cake was awesome! King bed with great, high-quality linens. Heating and A/C worked great.
I love the location of this property, you can literally step out your door and be at a winery. It was clean, the bed was super comfy (the sheets were a dream), and had almost everything we needed. If they had a place to cook, this place would be 5 stars easily. Since the town is about 10-15 min from here, it would be nice to have that option rather than drive into town after wine tasting. And the only other negative is the pick up and drop off of your keys, I wish they had an onsite location for that rather than make you drive into town for that. All in all we loved the place and would stay here again.
We stayed in the champagne suite, my wife and I loved the room , sundries were provided . We will definitely be staying here again. The on site wineries were awesome. Amid the staff were very friendly. Thanks for everything.
Clean, comfortable suite. The king bed was very, very comfortable and the linens were of high quality. Upon our arrival, a fresh coffee cake was waiting!! It was very good. The fridge was stocked with water, juice and milk. Cereal was provided for a nice continental breakfast if desired. The surrounding property was clean and well maintained. Rocky Hill is a quiet get-a-way......you will not be disappointed.
Great room. Great view. Can't wait to go back.
This place is awesome! It is close to Fredricksburg, onsite wine tastings, but far enough outside of the city to where it is quiet at night. The only downfall to this property is the bed is extremely hard. Wish it was a softer bed!
What a wonderful getaway. Adorable duplex style historic cabin (no common walls). Very comfortable, CLEAN, quaint, close to town. Favorite part was the beautiful wood burning fireplace. Oh, and the king size bed was COMFY too! We went right before New Years Eve so things were quiet. We look forward to another stay here.
Perfect place to relax and get away . You are far enough away from Frederick burg to relax but close enough to shop and dine.
We had a great stay! The stay was so relaxing and we will be staying again!
My husband and I took a short road trip from Houston to Fredricksburg and very pleased with the town and the surrounding areas! we spent 4 nights and 5 days here and had a good time
Overall a great trip and accommodations!
Great place to stay and enjoy the 290 wine trail.
Very pleasantly surprised. Wonderful accommodations off the beaten path, but easily accessible to downtown area!!! Nice having tasting rooms on property with music during the day, and peace at night!!
We have used Vacasa in the past & have always enjoyed our stays. I recommend them for your stay in Fredericksburg.
Wonderful property! Very convenient location if you want to go to Fredricksburg city center or any surrounding areas.
