Dog-friendly, rustic cottage w/ large porch, private hot tub - near Main Street!
Good friends will adore this peaceful cabin with a great location just a short distance from Main Street. A light, unhosted breakfast is included in your stay to help you have an extra special visit, and you'll enjoy a private hot tub, as well!
This Texas cottage shares a lot with the historic Fredericksburg Herb Farm, a unique destination offering spa, dining, and gift shop services in a garden setting. It's a couple blocks from Main Street and the Historic District of Fredericksburg.
Combining historic structure with modern, Bohemian-inspired decor, this unique cabin exudes character and warmth, and the spacious porch area is a great spot to sip a glass of local wine while rocking in one of the antique rocking chairs.
Though unplugging may be the best thing while you're here, this home does include WiFi and cable. Gather in the open living area to read on the sofa, or play a game at the ranch-style dining table. You'll also find a gas fireplace in the master bedroom and an electric fireplace in the second bedroom. And you can bring the dog along for a small nightly fee.
There are plenty of dining options to try nearby, including the Farm Haus Bistro at the Herb Garden. For light meals, snacks, or stashing leftovers, this home has a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker.
The bathrooms in this home are quite the affair. One has a stand-up shower while the other has a vintage, claw-foot tub and a Texas-shaped sink!
This is the perfect getaway for two or three couples traveling together. Take a romantic, relaxing day at the Herb Farm's spa, or poke around their gift shop to pick the perfect lotion, candle, or soap - all of which have been made on-site!
Reserve a seat on one of the many wine tour shuttles and hit a few of the 45 local wineries in the region. Or, alternatively, take a bike ride through the winding hills to admire vineyards and glorious scenery.
Don't forget to check out the cultural scene in Fredericksburg. Take a free walking tour of the Historic District, find a honky-tonk or live music performance, or explore the seasonal farmers' market or a local art gallery.

Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in - smelled wonderful, peaceful, cozy and comfortable!😊♥️ We’ll definitely be back!!
As charming as can be with all the comforts needed. Great beds!
Everything was so tidy! Very welcoming! Even had a baked bread when we came in!:)
Great quiet location, and very nice cabin. Loved it.
The location was great - close to Main St, but away from the crowds. Very quiet and we enjoyed exploring the area.
Location was great. Very clean. Great hot tub.
It’s was a great experience
The house on 306 Whitney was absolutely adorable and sweet and perfect for two couples to stay. There were a number of key amenities/details that just made it over-the-top, like nice towels, a sauna, amazing porch for having your morning coffee and/or evening glass of wine. The house is located very close to Main street where all the fun is happening and therefore was very convenient.
A group of ladies enjoyed this charming stone and timber cabin. Easy to find and close to Main Street.
Very quaint and cozy cabin with nice decor and comfy beds. It's located close to downtown Fredericksburg and within walking distance. The morning pastries and drinks provided were great! We would stay there again!
Nice rustic cabin but weather was cold and cabin bedroom was chilly.
We were very disappointed with Katrina. The inside does have charm but no full kitchen or stove. The appliances and toilets were very outdated and the inside sauna did not work. The hottub was very old and needs repair. The outside of the house has several holes where animals have chewed into and we could hear animals in the walls at night. There were also rat traps exposed up in the loft, where we had guests stay. The loft has no inside entrance and has to be opened from the outside of the house, with no bathroom access. While the cabin did have nicer guest rooms, we will not stay here again because we were very disappointed with the house and stay.
We are sorry to read about these disappointments. We believe most of them could have been avoided had the home's description and amenities checklist been thoroughly read before booking the home. The holes in the siding are being addressed by the owner. Thank you!
There was four of us. The fireplace in the back bedroom was so nice. The key to the fire place in the other room is the same as the for the front room. Only one key.
The beds were so comfortable. Best comforter.
Thank you for a great time

Perfect weekend getaway. I loved the cabin! It had great amenities- including strong coffee, and even the friendly cats from nearby Herb Garden restaurant came to visit us on the porch.
Always a calm and enjoyable experience. Great place to leave the phone behind and just chill!
We rented this home for family and they were blown away by the charm of the home! It has a lovely combination of rustic and modern.
We appreciated the accommodations like breakfast items, bottled water, and orange juice. The hot tub and sauna are fantastic. Nice to sleep in a small piece of history. Off of Main Street so it's quiet but so close to everything at the same time.
Katrina's cabin is perfect for families with pets. It's a short drive to main street but away from all the noise. The backyard and large wraparound porch is great for enjoying the hill country atmosphere. Thank you all so much - we look forward to our next visit to Fredericksburg!
Nice cabin. Hot water system needs maintenance if you want to have any. Biggest detriment to trip.
We apologize the guest didn't have enough hot water during their stay. This is a must, rest assured! After their stay, the owner approved the purchase and installation of a new water heater. Going forward, no more issues with cold showers. Thank you.
Katrina's Cabin was a delightful place to stay. It gave you the feel of being more out in the country despite being in the town itself. We would stay there again.
I would not stay at Katrina's cabin if you like clean, bright working cabin. The bedding was old , we could not start the sauna and I would not call the so called " hot tub " a HOT TUB. We felt very comfortable and did not not enjoy our anniversary trip.
My grandson is in wheelchair but because he loves history, I wanted a historical cabin. Most historical cabins have bedrooms upstairs so Katrina's Cabin was wonderful for us. Two large bedrooms w/king beds, two bathrooms, living/dining all on ground floor with modern conveniences in 1800's cabin made this a perfect place for us. Thanks for everything!
Emelia in the office even researched wheelchair accessible historical sites and restaurants for us, in her own desire to guarantee a handicapped child a wonderful experience! Thank you all!!
We truly enjoyed the stay. Very homey and well kept. Thank you
Great plcace to stay for weekend or longer. Close to Main st. but quiet for relaxation.
We needed a last minute place to stay in Fredericksburg and found Vacasa. Ryan the manger there took great care of us a found a beautiful house for us just a few blocks from Hondos. We were meeting friends there that night. It was a great experience and will use Vacasa again.
We had a very nice time at Katrina's Cabin. It was everything we were looking for: clean, very quiet, and dog friendly. We were able to walk to downtown.
Beautiful And very cozy house. Staff was very helpful. Only complaint was that there wasn't a full kitchen (no oven) and the hot tub/ sauna didn't work when we were there. Hopefully they get that fixed. They were very hospitable and friendly and we would definitely rent from them again.
We apologize if the lack of a full kitchen came as a surprise to this guest. We do note in the listing that it is a kitchenette. Maintenance inspected the hot tub and found the temperature had been lowered to 90 degrees which is probably why it felt as though it wasn't working. Thank you!
Great location. I feel the price was reasonable. There is a restaurant and bar directly across the street if you wanted to have drinks and eat close. Even with the restaurant across the street it was very quiet the entire time we were there. We would definitely stay again at Katrina's cabin and use Vacasa for future planning.
We greatly enjoyed our girls weekend here!
Nice location. Very clean. Liked the hot tub and the second bathroom a plus.
We enjoyed our stay at Katrina's Cabin and the surrounding Fredericksburg area. The Vacasa staff was great to work with and were very helpful upon check in. The cabin was as advertised with one minor exception. The upstairs loft is only accessible from outside which might be a challenge for some visitors. I highly recommend Vacasa as a source for vacation rental properties.
Katrina's Cabin is adorable--love the log cabin look, the eclectic furnishings, and the continental breakfast. Conveniently located--we were able to walk to Main Street in about 15 minutes. The hot tub was an added bonus--our 18-year-old and her friend loved it!
The cabin was cute and spacious and perfect for my birthday weekend! It was close to town but still remote enough to be quiet and peaceful at night. The hot tub was a lovely feature. I loved it!
Cute place. Comfortable stay.
My girl friends and I loved the house and property. It was nice and quiet. The rooms are spacious. We loved the porch area and also enjoyed the hot tub! We will def come back!
Management was prompt and effective. Location is nice, right across from the Fredricksburg Herb and garden restaurant. Beds were phenomenal. It took some time to get used to the sink in the living room and not having a full kitchen, but overall it was a great stay...loved the sauna!!
We stayed at Katrina's Cabin as a family of 5 for the Christmas holiday. Very pleased with the location, cleanliness of bathrooms and beds, and comfort of beds. Wooden floors were great for dogs. Nice big backyard. The upstairs "loft" is small and a little dingy, could be elevated to the level of the other rooms and beds. There is a grill- wasnt listed on the website details. There is also a coffeemaker that doubles as a coffee grinder with coffee beans provided. Also supplied water, cream, milk, cereal and other small items- also not listed on the rental description. Wasnt aware the property was owned by an out of state rental agency instead of an individual owner. This made for more various and expensive fees and a zero tolerance cancellation policy so be advised! They were also not knowlegeable to answer questions about what is provided at the property so we brought way more than was necessary. The local agency where you check in to get the keys was very nice and accommodating, wpuld be nice to have them as a point of contact for the property. I would recommend a stay here to friends and family, but there are also several other great options in Fredericksburg! If you're planning to stay at Christmas- there was lots to do on Christmas Eve but we had to eat convenience store food on Christmas Day because nothing was open (and there's no kitchen in the cabin.) But we still enjoyed our stay very much and had a wonderful Christmas in Fredericksburg!
The house was a great location. Enjoyed brunch at Fredericksburg Herb farm.
Cozy and quaint little cabin inside the city. Really enjoyed our stay here.
This property was all that we were looking for...a quite neighborhood and close to downtown. We have explored the area before and were just looking for a quite get-a-way and this filled the bill.
The cabin was very nice. Not particularly close to Main Street but it's not in the boondocks either. Our only real complaint would be the window covering in the front bedroom, there are none. If I'm going to be down right pickey you can here traffic from the main road behind the house. However this is not overwhelming. The cabin looks exactly like the pictures. It was perfect for the four of us. You could say it was a little on the pricey side but what isn't in Fredericksburg?
We really enjoy the stay with friends and family. We will definitely stay again.
Thank you so much for the hospitality pastry, delish! We will start looking at the end of this year where to stay next and give you a call.
This is the second time my group of Dallas friends and I have gathered for a weekend in Fredericksburg and both times we stayed at Katrina's Cabin. It is conveniently located, quiet, beautifully furnished and the beds are so comfortable!
We love it! We will definitely come again!
Beautiful, peaceful & clean.
I stayed here for a girls weekend/high school reunion. Great location. Quiet, not super crazy. Cozy and intimate, but still very spacious. Cab to main street for 5 girls was $12. Breakfast was delicious across the street at the herb farm/garden. Looks like their lunch/dinner menu was nice but we never made it for those meals. Included a coffee cake, some snacks, and drinks in pantry/mini fridge. Perfect for everyone: girls weekend, reunion, family, couples, etc.
4 beds; 2 private rooms; 1 loft; 1 living room/kitchen; 2 bathrooms; 1 sauna; 1 hot tub; front/back porch with patio furniture, rocking swing and rocking chairs.
This room is combined into 1; large farmhouse sink; decent size pantry that includes essentials (right side--plates, cups, silverware, snacks, breakfast food; left side--mini fridge, coffee maker, mini-oven/microwave not sure didn't use...)
chairs, side tables, coffee table, sleeper sofa (I believe it was queen size).
First room on the right; also has access door from front of house. No door from hallway but has curtains instead--cute concept. Door might be nice for privacy from main floor of the house esp since the loft overlooks this room so privacy is lost there (but this would never stop me from staying here again--it's a cute concept and can be overlooked with the other amenities). King size bed; TV; fireplace; 2 chairs and cute small table with super cool lantern hanging above. Loft is above and oversees this room.
Bathroom 1 (shower/tub/toilet)
First room on the left. ADORABLE CHIQUE RUSTIC bathroom!!! Texas shaped sink; vintage toilet and tub; lantern above shower for light
Straight down the hallway, includes private bath, direct access to hot tub via side door in room. King size bed; TV; fireplace; standard shower (no tub); toilet; sauna (fits ~2 comfortably); 1 sink and very long vanity area.
Fits 4 comfortably.
Rocking chairs, rocking swing, patio furniture, side tables - very nice to sit and relax, drink coffee in the morning and wine at night :)
Access the loft using the wooden stairs in the backyard - no access from inside the house. Some spiders and bugs around the outside area by loft door but it's a cabin in Texas. Cute and cozy on the inside. I believe this was a king size bed also. Overlooks the first bedroom.
Several people have already asked where we've stayed (thanks to social media) so I will definitely be recommending this place to others, and will absolutely stay again! We had a great time and enjoyed our visit.

Such a neat home!
The cabin is as advertised, in a quiet setting, atmosphere and outside areas were great. Having the Herb Farm and restaurant across the street was great. Not on main street but provided easy access to downtown area.
Katrina's cabin was very comfortable for my sister, my wife and me for 2 nights. Convenient to town yet feels isolated, cabin and furnishings rustic but fully functional. Easy drive from Austin.
Beautiful cabin that is decorated great! There was a coffee cake for us to snack on when we got there and for breakfast one morning. The location is quiet at night but a short car ride to Hondo's if you want to be out later. We stayed here for a girls weekend for my grandmothers birthday and it was perfect for everyone. Definitely would stay here again! Check in and out process was easy and quick!
Very nice place in a good location close to town. Very clean and comfortable.
Katrina's cabin is a great place to stay. It is a minute from Main Street, offers comfortable living and convenience to all the fun things Fredericksburg has to offer.
We arrived to a lovely home that met our expectations from the pictures we had seen. It is conveniently located close to Main St. but would not recommend walking to Main St. as there are no sidewalks and it is a bit of a journey. To our surprise, we had some continental breakfast items waiting for us when we arrived. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. Our family of 4 enjoyed every minute and we can't wait to return to Fredericksburg and stay here again!
We enjoyed our short getaway. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. The town was very friendly and inviting with awesome shopping and dining. The highlight of our trip was our day trip to the local wineries. Wouldn't change a thing and can't wait to visit again soon!!
Very nice, comfortable little house. Perfect for 2 couples. I will definitely book this place again.
Really nice cabin in great location
