Was a really cool place and very clean.
This cottage provided everything we needed for our short stay in Fredericksburg. Walking distance to shopping, food and fun. Short drive to the beautiful and magical Enchanted Rock. Very comfortable king size bed with down comforters, refrigerator, good coffee and real half & half, breakfast bread, hot chocolate, even popcorn. Exceptionally clean and well stocked with great personal hygiene products. And a large porch swing!!
Loved the stay. Room is a little small, but very nice
From the location to the amenities, these cottages are great! To top it off, the coffee cake and juice are a wonderful addition to our morning coffee.
The room was beautiful and well appointed. We did not realize, (until our neighbors entered their room around 1am) that this is an attached "cottage". We could hear them walking around, and we could hear what I can only assume was the headboard hitting the wall. Oops! As a result, we will probably choose a different cottage next time.
The cottages are beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We could not have asked for anything better!
My husband and I loved it! We look forward to staying there again in the future.
We stayed there and loved it! Everything works and simply put it was a charm to stay there. Vacasa did amazing!
The Manor was lovely, warm and a great place for a relaxing getaway. I loved all of the special touches, like snacks and the lavender soap and lotion. I will definitely stay at the Wine Country Cottages again.
This is my second stay at Wine Country Cottages. The grounds are lovely and the cottage is nice. Just a short walk or easy drive to downtown shopping and restaurants. I have booked through Vacasa several times with no problems; everyone is always friendly and helpful.
It was a beautifully decorated cottage. Perfect for a relaxing weekend escape. Close enough to everything but yet far enough to escape the hustle and bustle. Loved it and we will be back !!!
We stayed here on our anniversary. What a great spot for a getaway. Located close to all the fun spots on Main Street in town but also still quiet and private. Would stay here again for sure!
My husband and I stayed at the cottages for a one night get away. I would certainly recommend these to a friend, very well done. Nice to also have a 1-night option vs. most of the B&Bs are way too expensive and require two stays. I also liked the modern amentities and decor; many of the other places are a bit country bed spreads, old furniture/dated.
Great location, cute cottage. Loved it!
The original cottage that we booked through Vacasa apparently had an issue the day we were supposed to check in. Their team reached out to us and offered three additional properties for us to choose from (which is how we ended up at the Manor). Great location, extremely comfortable bed and nice touches (lavender soap from a nearby lavender farm, delicious coffee cake). As they mention in the description, if you are a very light sleeper, this particular cottage is near the road and subject to some noise (the bar across the street had some live music) - it's not intolerable, but you might book further back if you feel like it would be an issue. Another note is that this is one of the few cottages that doesn't have a hot tub. Overall, an absolutely lovely stay.
The cottage was cozy , we had orange juice and bottles of water waiting for us. The most amazing cinnamon bread ever was fresh just waiting for us to enjoy. We had a wonderful time walking and visiting all the shops. Next time, we need to visit the wineries.
You don't get orange juice and water and cinnamon bread at those 4 or 5 star hotels!!
We booked another b&b initiallly were unhappy with cleanliness and facilities - we were fortunate to get the last available room here. Tasteful, clean, comfortable and efficient booking - will likely step it up to the blacksmiths quarters next time but perfectly comfortable and nice.
We loved it here and will definitely be back
Loved the place! We will come back again for sure!
Convenient location, adorable, clean and had great treats ready for us in the mini fridge too. Will definitely stay here again.
I booked this cottage as a quick weekend getaway! It was perfect because most places down in Fredericksburg have a 2-night minimum but was lucky to find out that Wine Country Cottages allowed 1 night stays. This was our first time in Fredericksburg and we will definitely be back! We stayed in The Manor. I was a little disappointed to show up and see that our cottage and the one next to us did not have a Jacuzzi; especially since most of the listings I read said that all of the cottages had one. However, in the end we decided it was a bit weird since they were on the front porch. We didn't miss a thing. The Manor is located right off Main St. so we were expecting it to be pretty loud from the traffic but it was very quiet for being as close as we were. The house is perfect. It was modern yet rustic that made it very appealing. The bed and linens were soft and very relaxing. I would definitely recommend the Wine Country Cottages to any of my friends looking for a place to stay in Fredericksburg.
Took over 2 hours to finally get a key to our room after we reserved the cottage through the main booking agency. I was told at booking that it wouldnt be a problem booking after hours because the property had a lockbox and I would recieve an e-mail with the code within 5 min. I received that e-mail within 5 min and the email clearly stated the property DID NOT have a lockbox and we needed to get a key from the main office so.... After at least 10 phone calls driving from one property to the next waiting on the side of the road, waiting for a cleaning lady to come, walking around in the dark looking on patio table for an invisable packet, being told I would be called right back and never was. A very very rude supposed property manager that could absolutley care less about our troubles who told me "what do you want from me" and "you cant get a motel 6 room this cheap", WHO SAYS THAT?? and we paid over $200 for the one night.... while texting on her phone, taking her sweet time about 30 minutes, finally gave us the key to our room. We tried to get a refund and go somewhere else but were told it would take over a week to get our money back. Booked the room just before 8pm and finally got into our room shortly after 10pm. I wouldnt of been so upset if I was told upfront at booking that the property would take several hours to get ahold of anyone to meet you for the key...
Rooms were very nice and clean and location was great.
The property is extremely nice, was provided a nice breakfast, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was super clean, and its walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Definitely recommend.
Loved our cottage. If all of the bed and breakfast cottages are on the same level as ours, you will definetly your stay
The properties we stayed in were very nice, clean and in great locations. Would highly recommend!
We stayed in the Manor. The street noise all night is unbearable...like trying to sleep on a Nascar Track. A group rented all the cottages except ours and partied and screamed and yelled all night. We could not park onsite because they had so many cars with their group....We were worried that our car would get hit on the "Nascar Speedway " out front....the only parking available.
Wanted to give you a great review because of Amelia from Vacasa Fredericksburg is amazing.
We are disappointed to see this guest did not have a great experience while staying here. The home is near Main St., so there is some street noise, but it is manageable. Had we been notified of the disruptive guests we would have taken care of the problem as soon as possible as we do have quiet hours that guests are supposed to observe. Thank you!
The Wine Country Cottages on Main were so cute! It's a quite little complex, very close to everything at the end of Main St. Hondo's is within walking distance and had awesome live music, great food and cold drinks! The rental that we stayed in was perfect sized and the bed was super comfy! Enjoyed it and will definitely be back'
Too close to the road. Incredibly noisy
Great little spot with no distractions. Nicole was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us... She really is amazing...
Good place to stay, close to downtown.
I would recommend the wine cottages! They are convenient and have just what you need.
This was such a wonderful property. We can't decide whether it was the ambience and inviting appointments, the hospitality or the location. This place had it all! The grounds as well as the suites were so tastefully decorated and comfortable, we were in walking distance of the intown shops and restaurants, and we were greeted with Southern hospitality for the morning---coffee cake, cream and orange juice. This place was such a pleasure.
Wish we could have stayed 2 nights. Nice to find a place that will accept one night reservations. Beautiful little cottages
A wonderful experience through Vacasa. This cottage is adorable and I would definitely stay here again. Such a great experience!
