My husband and I spent the weekend here for our wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for a more perfect place for a romantic getaway. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The king-size bed was comfortable and had crisp sheets. The bathroom was roomy and included lavender scented toiletries. One thing to note: If you prefer bar soap, you will need to bring your own. The property provided body wash in lieu of bar soap. There is parking near the cottages, but if all of the spots are filled there are parking spots on Main Street that are available.
The cottages are on Main Street, but they are several blocks away from the heart of downtown. The upside is that they are quiet, the downside is you will need to wear comfortable shoes if you plan to walk to downtown. There were a few eateries and wineries within a few blocks, so if you are looking for a quick excursion it is possible.
"Breakfast" was left for our visit which included a freshly made pastry, juice, milk, and cereal. If you prefer a "hot" breakfast, there is a wonderful cafe directly across the street called City Café.
There is a gas fireplace in the room, a Jacuzzi on the patio, and several fire pits on the property. We did not use any of these items as the weather was too hot, but it is nice to know they are there if visiting in the few “cooler” months we get in Texas.
Satellite TV is provided, which included Showtime. Wi-Fi was consistent; but was a little slow if you are planning on streaming video (Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, etc.)
All in all, we absolutely loved our stay here. It really felt like a home away from home, and we plan on staying here the next time we visit Fredericksburg. We really liked that it had the feel of a B&B; but we appreciated the privacy having our own cottage provided us. I highly recommend staying here.
Cottage was clean and well stocked, and very close to all the downtown shops.
All the amenities of home. Walking distance from all the wineries on main street.
This little cottage was perfect for our 2 night stay in Texas wine country. We enjoyed being right outside of town. The cottage was so precious as there was a fresh baked pastry, water, orange juice, milk, Cheerios, and coffee waiting on us. It was clean and well decorated. We wished we would have had time to get in the hot tub!!
The room was exactly as described. Close to town and perfect for a couple. The hot tub was on the front porch but I learned that before going as it was on yelp.
Our second time at here... received a courtesy call the day before our stay and that shows how much they care. :)
New check-in process... some added amenities... and of course the hot tub.
We arrived late so parking was a quite a hassle because of the people who decided to come in their trucks.
Will definitely come back.
Loved the convenient location. The cottages were nice and cozy!!
This place is fantastic! Everything was top of the line and the location is great!
Loved the location and how all the rooms were layed out. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!
It is very nice quality atmosphere. The danish rolls were awesome and it is such a quiet place to stay.
This place was beyond what we thought it would be. The place was very clean and very nice inside. It's close to everything walking distance but away just enough that it's very peaceful at night. Would stay with them again and plan to for octoberfest
House is thoughtfully done. Love that it has a hot tub and fireplace. Needs some privacy curtains around the hot tub area. That would put it as our top pick of places to stay. Love that one night stays are allowed. Enjoyed
The room was comfortable, cozy and well furnished. Location was perfect, close enough to downtown and yet still had a quiet night in the room. Had everything we needed for an incredible stay. We will definitely be back!
Loved everything about this cottage. My wife and I stayed here while we were in Fredericksburg for our anniversary. Everything we needed, we found inside. So easy to find and really close to shopping and restaurants. We both also loved the hot tub, great for relaxing after a day on our feet. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again!
We had a great time. Facilities and service were wonderful.
Always a great time. Such a high class cottage. Location is right on main street. Will stay here every time!
My wife and I had an amazing weekend at the Wine Country Cottages while celebrating her birthday! The accommodations were everything we expected and more! The convenience of being a short walk from excellent Dining And Entertainment while enjoying the privacy of our own cottage, made for an amazing experience!
Great cottage for a weekend couples gettaway! Would definitely stay here again. Easy to do late check-in after their office was closed. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed.
The Wine Country Cottages are a perfect place to stay. A quiet and peaceful little get away within walking distance to some of the best hangouts on Main Street.
The hot tub was perfect, and the location was awesome! Easy walk to shops and food.
I would highly recommend this property for a couple or girls weekend get away. Within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants of downtown without being too close to all the noise. Having the hot tub on the porch was awesome and the breakfast they provided was delicious! Will definitely come back!
Overall my stay was great. Location, comfort, hot tub, fire pit. The only negative was that housekeeping never came by the 5 days I was there.
The cottages are located in A cozy area, convenient enough whether you take a walk or drive to local shops and restaurants. Clean and quiet with exclusive hot tub to enjoy after a day of roaming around the beautiful town. Staff in the seasons office are so hospitable, friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay with vacasa again and bring friends as well.
We were very pleased with our stay in the La Bodega unit. The fire pit right in front of our place was a great hang out spot for our 6 guests. Very centrally located in town.
We stay often in the surrounding hill country but wanted to be close to the shopping after Thanksgiving. The bodega was a perfect respite and quite. Right on Main street so no time was lost. We enjoyed the cottage and look forward to staying in others Vacasa properties in the future. Louis and Cheryl
We had a great time. The cottages have an amazing ambiance inside and out. Close to Main and The Strip for anyone try to shop or get social. We had one issue with a leaky AC when we arrived but it was fixed within the hour while we enjoyed dinner @ Hondo's.
A great place to stay by yourself or with your friends! The place was spotless and very nice. HOT TUB! Very relaxing to enjoy coffe in the mornings. I will deff be back to stay here again!
Great location clean and friendly service
Wine country cottage was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I. We had a few issues with the cabin that I'm sure will be dealt with. We would return here in the future.
The best group to make reservations through....and the best properties in and around Fredericksburg, Tx.
Although we were in and out of town very quickly, traveling on business, we found the cottage to be a wonderful oasis and well appointed. We would recommend it to anyone. We are just sorry we didn't get a chance to use the hot tub.
My little cottage was ADORABLE and clean. But it is VERY hard to find. The business office in the front is closed at all times, and the actual business office is way downtown. So you have to go there to check in. I had some pretty strange neighbors too, that stayed up all night in the hot tub laughing and I could get no sleep. The food in Fredricksburg is amazing but that's about it. There are way too many rude people that live there, and the surrounding areas. I won't be going back, but to pass through.
We love coming here...and brought friends this time. Thur loved it as well! I'm almost afraid to tell people about it....I kinda like thinking y'all built all of that for my wife and I.
Had a great stay at the Bodega Cottage. Enjoyed shopping the strip followed by a nice evening at Hondos. All that was left was a couple of hours in the Hot Tub. Cant beat it. Had a great lunch the next day at the Sozial House. Great weekend! Cottage was perfect size and easy to get to. It was nice and quiet even though we were on the strip.
This was my husbands and my first time to Fredericksburg. The cottages were so precious and clean. The stained concrete floor was so nice for the pet friendly option. You can easily walk anywhere on Main st.
This place was immaculate! The grounds were well kept and the front desk lady Tiffany was so sweet! I will definitely be back! Great for a romantic getaway or a girls weekend!
BEAUTIFUL AND WELL MAINTAINED PROPERTY.
Four couples traveled to Fredericksburg for a weekend. Our goal was to visit a variety of vineyards in the area. This setup of cottages was perfect for a group like our's. We had our own space, yet could come together on the outside porch or in each other's rooms. Would have been nice to have more seating as we watched Saturday night football.
If your looking for a place to simply relax and enjoy, this is it. It is very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was great. The cottage was beautiful. Also, excellent spa (Above and Beyond Day Spa) right across the street.
The cabins were very nice. Perfect for our one night stay. Very reasonable too.
We have been staying in Fredericksburg for many years. This place was great! We loved the location and the customer service was top notch! We stayed in the Bodega. We loved it! Give them a try :)
If you fix the AC, I would absolutely recommend to all my friends. It has an ideal location, not any real street noise, it's private, and the complimentary breakfast is top notch. But the AC unit in the intense season needs addressing. I am never warm and in fact, prefer my thermostat at home to be on 78 and this unit wouldn't get below 80 and that was only at night. The bathroom had thick, muggy air in turn. As beautiful and wonderful as the cottage is, comfort is key. Fix that tiny flaw and you've got an ideal place for couples to stay.
We apologize if the air conditioner was being finicky for this stay. The Property Manager has inspected the wall mount units and found them to be in good working order. Thank you!
Great place very close to where everything is so you can just walk to all the stores and the staff was very nice and helpful.
