Wine country cabin w/a private hot tub, wet bar, & more!

Enjoy a blissful romantic getaway with that special someone, or a memorable sojourn with a best friend at this Fredericksburg bed and breakfast. Beautifully appointed with a private hot tub, custom stone masonry, and a warm fireplace, this studio-style cabin is your home base for a truly relaxing vacation to the Texas Hill Country. A light, unhosted breakfast is included in your stay.

Conveniently located just off of Main Street, the Wine Thief is near all the best local attractions including Fredericksburg's historic downtown area, as well as one-of-a-kind shops, art galleries, and lovely city parks. And if that's not enough, more than a dozen wineries serving acclaimed locally made vintages are within a 20-mile drive, as are hiking trails and rock climbing at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.

Unwind in the lap of luxury with the Wine Thief's deluxe furnishings, granite counter wet bar, large outdoor hot tub, and haute decor in a spacious open floor plan. Enter through the patio's French doors to reveal a space full of high-class charm and inviting ambiance. Melt into leather chairs affront a wall-mounted flatscreen television and let your worries subside as a cozy fire in the fireplace warms the room. If you've arrived during the warmer months, flip on the ceiling fan and let the air circulate as you flip through cable TV channels and relax with a glass of local wine.

Are you hungry? You'll certainly have plenty of dining options within walking distance, but if you want to stay home and enjoy a snack, use the well-stocked wet bar's mini-fridge, microwave, and nice copper sink to whip up nachos, chips and salsa, or whatever else you desire.

Wind down an eventful day with a soothing dip in the outdoor hot tub, or sip sweet tea as you sit on the patio's rocking chairs. Take a casual stroll around the property to admire its festive arbor, community fire pits, and artfully landscaped grounds.

At day's end, get the restful sleep you deserve in the king-size bed. Fitted with luxurious sheets and comfy pillows, the bed guarantees that up to two guests will get a great night's sleep, night after night.

In the morning, brew a fresh pot of coffee using the gourmet coffeemaker, munch on some of the provided light breakfast items, wake up with an invigorating wash in the stone walk-in shower, and use the WiFi to start planning another day of adventures. Your options include a visit to the National Museum of the Pacific War for a fascinating look at Fredericksburg's role in World War II, or an active bicycle ride on the Luckenbach Loop, a 30-mile route that begins just south of Fredericksburg and winds along country roads and through scenic hill country near the bordering town of Luckenbach.

Nature appreciators will have their fair share of activities to dive into, ranging from hiking to cycling to rock climbing and other outdoor recreation within an easy drive of the Wine Country Cottages. Lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, a monolithic pink granite dome and state wilderness area popular with rock climbers, backpackers, and campers.

Visit the best of Fredericksburg and experience the pinnacle of comfort with a stay in this Texas Hill Country bed and breakfast cottage. Walking distance of town and cultural attractions, the Wine Thief will deliver an exceptional getaway in the Lone Star State!

Location was great. Galleries nearby, restaurants and bars down the street with live country music. Room was nice with minor hiccups. Very comfortable and quiet.

We had a quiet and peaceful weekend in a lovely room. Just sad it was too hot to use the hot tub.

Perfect spot for a two night getaway. Everything you want, nothing you don’t. Hospitality well done!

The location was great if you want to park and just walk to anything in town. The room was clean and very comfortable. Having a private hot tub after each day of walking was very relaxing. We will definitely stay here again.
Erik R. Jul 2018
AC unit is way to under powered for cottage.
Eric M. Jun 2018
Def. a great place to stay and relax in Fredricksburg! Right off of Main in a quiet area and short distance from all the shops. Will re-book in the future for sure
Eric D. Apr 2018
Loved it. Off the beaten path so it is quiet. The little houses were surrounding a courtyard and while you could see the other houses, it was very intimate and private. We will definitely be back :)

5 stars!!!!

We loved the cozy atmosphere! The property was quiet and very romantic. Downside is the bathroom is behind closed French glass doors which aren’t so private (we stayed in wine theif)

My husband and I enjoyed the privacy of the cabin and loved how close it was to all the shops on Main Street.
Cathleen A. Mar 2018
Great location, comfy bed, great shower. Close to the shopping, but up from all the traffic. Close to all the venues.

We booked our stay over NYE last minute for a two night getaway. My husband had experienced a medical emergency early in December, but had sufficiently recovered so this was a celebration trip for us. Long story short, the cottage is so nice, comfortable, cozy and romantic. It reminded me of Kate Winslet's cottage in The Holiday, except much more luxurious. The hot tub and fire place were wonderful and well used during our stay. The breakfast pastry was delicious and was large enough to last the two days during our stay. Would love to stay here again!
Bobby M. Dec 2017
Nice place to stay. Close to Main Street shops.

Enjoyed our first visit to Fredericksburg. Wine Country Cottages were lovely. Staff was helpful and our cottage-Wine Thief was cozy and comfortable. Easy to walk to anyplace in town.
Matthew S. Nov 2017
We love that we can have a long day of walking and shopping and then come back to our room and enjoy some good Texas wine in the Hot tub before dinner!! The bed is so comfortable! Can't wait to come back!!
Rae H. Sep 2017
Very happy with the property. Especially how clean it was. Hot tubs are a nice bonus. The only recommendations I have for improvement is an ice machine (refrigerator is a small one) on property and carefully select your room. Ours was lovely, Wine Theif, but it does back up to Main St. so you may hear traffic. The Strudel upon arrival was a sweet surprise.
Caroline S. Jul 2017
The breakfast left in the room was simple but satisfying. It was such a cute and comfortable room, and close enough to walk into downtown and all its shops and restaurants.
Stephen G. Jul 2017
Great area, close to the main square. Beautiful rooms
Terry S. Jul 2017

Clarence K. Jul 2017

Lisa W. Jun 2017
Just 3 blocks from the main shops! We enjoyed the close proximity to everything-yet like being a few blocks from the business of the stores. We enjoyed the quiet courtyard area in the evening and the hotub was wonderful! Our fridge was stocked with half and half, sugar, coffee supplies and also a breakfast desert. Will definitely recommend this spot!

My new wife and I wanted to spend the last couple days on our wedding journey somewhere away from Killeen where we work. The Wine Thief did just that. It was the perfect place for a couple of days of newlywed things.
Linda D. Feb 2017
We absolutes loved the vintage style of the cottages. They were well furnished with contemporary touches. The staff was professional and helpful.
Alex W. Jan 2017
We really enjoyed the Wine Thief cottage! Very spacious and the hot tub was great. Within walking distance to the downtown area that has so many different restaurants, shops and bars that you could be there for days and not see it all!
Maria P. Dec 2016
On Main Street but quiet location. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was great. Remote control for the air conditioning was a little clunky to operate.
Justin H. Dec 2016
Everything was wonderful, even with the rain. We'll have to come back with better weather in order to get more time to walk around through downtown, but every place we went was great.
Kristi G. Dec 2016
A wonderful place to stay!
Peter F. Nov 2016
Outstanding location! Quiet and cozy. Perfect place to get away and relax, visit the strip, hit the wineries, or all three!
Dalia L. Nov 2016

We really loved the cottage and plan on a returning.
Bria L. Sep 2016
This was our first trip to The Hill Country. We enjoyed the area..we did the "Hop On, Hop Off" Wine Stop by 290 Wine Shuttle and it was GREAT! The drivers were very nice, the wineries were all awesome! Made for a perfect day and not having to worry who was driving home. Checked out Red Baron antiques next door to the cottages, great finds. Enjoyed walking around downtown, stopping in the shops, reading all the historically markers, breakfast at the Herb Farm and Sunset Grill was amazing!
Marc L. Aug 2016
Had an excellent time in this cozy getaway location.
Barbara T. Aug 2016
The "Wine Thief" cottage was wonderful. The cottages are within walking distance (1/2-1 mile) of restaurants, shops, wine tasting spots, and bars. The people of Fredericksburg are so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend you visit this city and stay at the Vacasa Wine Cottages.
Gavin B. Aug 2016
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Wine Thief. It is clean, cozy and convenient. It felt somewhat secluded but was within minutes of everything in Fredericksburg. The hot tub was nice after shopping and hiking. Will definitely stay there again.
Dale M. Jun 2016
Great facility very well run and maintained.
Lea H. May 2016
The place was very clean and within walking distance to a lot of places we went on main. I would reccommend staying at any other place on this property if the sound of street noise (mainly motorcycles) would bother you. It backs up right to main street. But the property itself was clean and nice and the hot tub was a nice addition!
Heidi N. May 2016
So cute, so clean, so close-so go!!
User friendly trip!!
Lindsey M. Mar 2016
We absolutely loved our stay in the Wine Thief cottage. It was beautiful, very comfortable and accommodating. We have already recommended it to our friends!
