Dog-friendly, waterfront house with stunning views and a private beach!

Gaze out over the shimmering waters from the deck of your very own oceanfront Centerville vacation home! Just steps from the sand of its own private beach, this house is a rare find.

Situated directly on Craigville Beach, the ocean is just moments from the door. Downtown Centerville is less than two miles north, an easy drive or bike ride. If you are bringing cars, there's plenty of private parking available to you.

Large glass doors and windows allow light to bathe the living room. Curl up on the couch and watch your favorite show on cable. If you'd like to upload some beach shots so your friends can see what you're up to, log onto the WiFi.

A group of friends traveling together will adore the privacy of their own beach. Build elaborate sandcastles or splash in the waves. Work on your tan, but make sure to apply plenty of sunscreen! The family dog is also welcome for a small nightly fee.

History buffs will appreciate the Centerville Historical Society Museum, which has both changing and permanent exhibits, including local art and artifacts from Centerville's past. If you're traveling with kids and they need to blow off some steam, take them to the Centerville Playground.

This house is only a few minutes to downtown Hyannis, The Kennedy Museum, The Kennedy Compound, and the famous Four Seas Ice Cream shop. You could also stop by the Barnacle Snack Bar, right across the street, for everything from lobster rolls to PB&J for the little ones. There are also three golf courses nearby, as well as bicycle rentals and plenty of other ways to experience the great outdoors.

We loved our stay and hope to go back next year. No frills for sure with the house, but the location is the real reason to love it. There were privacy issues as the beach is not marked as private so foot traffic was alarmingly high next to the house which was the primary beach access for a stretch of the area ( with people peering in the windows) and the “private beach” was full of other beach-goers. We had no cable TV access for the first day and a half as the remote was missing and it took a while for property management to resolve this as they were on vacation. It is a charming location reflective of the idyllic Craigville community, and being steps from the beach will bring us back. No washer and dryer was a drawback, but planning helped. The back deck was literally on the beach, you really can’t get much better. Bring your own comforts (extra towels, pillows, bedding, beach chairs, kitchen supplies). The upper loft had no furniture or beds but had great potential. We made it our paradise, and with a little work and preparation we would do it again! It was great for our small family, but for more than 4 people it might get cramped on a rainy day if there are small children. Perfect for a couple or two couples - mindful of the one bathroom. The house needs a little TLC and decor, nothing major to disrupt its use.

Toes in the Sand is the perfect cottage for a small family + a couple guests. We absolutely loved the location and didn't have to worry about the kiddos crossing any streets to get to the beach. Walking distance to a couple restaurants, but the best food is definitely in Barnstable! (An easy 5min trip up the road).

I personally wouldn't bother with a visit to Nantucket because the price of a ferry is a waste and the beaches are just as good in Centreville.

Enjoy your stay! (I know we did)
