Dog-friendly home with a deck, patios & hot tub, in the heart of wine country!

Treat yourself to a wine country adventure full of outdoor recreation, farm-to-table cuisine, and serene relaxation at this two-bedroom Healdsburg home, where you'll enjoy a private deck with a six-person hot tub, two outdoor patios, a gourmet kitchen, and a wonderful location close to downtown.

This dog-friendly home is surrounded by redwoods, oaks, and various conifers, creating a peaceful escape for two couples or a group of friends. Yet it's also just two miles north of Healdsburg Plaza, allowing guests easy access to restaurants, wine tours, cycling opportunities, and more than 100 wineries and tasting rooms in the immediate region.

In an upscale town known for its rustic country roots, this single-level home similarly offers both elegance and comfort in its 1,145 square feet.

With an open floor plan, hardwood floors, and plush furnishings, the living room is ideal for entertaining and catching up with old friends. You'll have central air conditioning for the warmest of summer days, although you can just as easily open the windows to let in the cool, fragrant evening breezes.

Pick up some artisan bread at Costeaux French Bakery and a few specialty ingredients at SHED, and use them to prepare homemade meals in the gourmet kitchen. You'll find granite countertops, a Viking gas stove and convection oven, and other stainless steel appliances to make you feel like a professional chef.

Use the waffle iron to create delectable breakfasts and leave the dishwasher in charge of the clean-up. You'll have plenty of time to read the paper at the bar counter for three, or join your friends around the dining room table for six.

In such a warm and sunny region, you'll have abundant opportunities to enjoy this home's lovely outdoor spaces. Sip your morning coffee on the side patio or head out front to fire up the gas grill, share a meal at the outdoor dining table, or spend the afternoon sunbathing on one of the two Adirondack chairs.

On a hill behind the house, guests can climb the stairs to find a wonderfully private redwood deck with a patio table, bench seating, and a six-person hot tub nestled among the trees.

And despite the fact that the road out front can be well-trafficked at times, this large and private lot is completely enclosed, allowing your dogs (two maximum) plenty of space to run around (please note that an additional nightly fee applies).

Planning a quiet evening at home after a fun-filled day of cycling and wine tasting? Retreat to the media room to play a game of Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit, use the WiFi to make dinner reservations, or simply settle in for a DVD favorite on the 46-inch flatscreen cable TV.

With two bedrooms, one full bathroom, and one half-bath, The Getaway on Dry Creek will accommodate as many as six guests. You'll find spacious walk-in closets in both bedrooms, which feature a king and a queen bed, respectively. There's also a queen-size sofabed in the media room.

You'll also find a jet tub and a shower in the full bathroom, as well as a private washer/dryer and a half-bath in the utility room.

As an epicenter of Northern California winemaking, cuisine, and outdoor recreation, Healdsburg is a perfect escape for wine lovers, cyclists, and vacationers of all interests. Consider booking an excursion with Healdsburg Wine Tours, which will help you make the most of this region where the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys meet.

Guests can also play a round at the Healdsburg Golf Club, kayak along the Russian River, or join Adventures in Cycling for an outing on Healdsburg's gorgeous country roads. Just be sure to save enough time for dinner at Valette, the awe-inspiring kitchen of hometown chef Dustin Valette.

This comfortable and well-equipped Healdsburg retreat can be all yours - book a stay at this wine country cottage today!

Nice area and a great place.

LOVED the location on Dry Creek Road. It is close to our favorite winery, Kokomo, and Big John’s, our favorite grocery. The fenced front deck was great for Pelli to run around. Plus, it has an amazing propane Weber grill and table with chairs. The towering Redwoods provided shade. The house had everything that we needed for a very lovely stay at one of our favorite spots on earth!

We loved the size and how clean and cozy it felt. It was walking distance to several wineries and a close uber ride into town.

Nice kitchen with everything you’d need even sugar s&p and other spices. King bed mattress was comfortable. Best bed we’ve slept in in rentals so far. Sofa in the front room is tired and uncomfortable but the 2 chairs were great. Sofa in TV room not very comfortable. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper, luckily found a roll in the laundry room outside. Checkout instructions ask you to pull all dirty linens and towels and start the washing machine but laundry soap container was empty. Property says it’s “gated” but gate is off the tracks and not able to be moved. Whirlpool tub missing a dial so there is a hole in tub. Jets were moldy as well as the caulking in the shower.. Hot tub area out back is private but lots of debris. Stairs and desk need regular sweeping. Some deck step lights would aide in walking in the dark- some of the current lights are broken.
Manager response:
We wish this guest had contacted us about the low supplies so we could have brought more, and we will follow-up with housekeeping on properly stocking the home. We have made the owner aware of the mentioned maintenance issues. Thank you!

Had my friends 30th in Healdburg and stayed for two nights with 5 guests. Home was beautiful and updated. Plenty of space for parking and cute little patio areas. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed kitchen wise. Second bathroom is located in a small building outside the house and it's not extremely inviting. Property would benefit from a second bathroom in the home, maybe attached to the master. All in all would definitely recommend and stay here again. Close to wineries and downtown.

We really enjoyed our stay.

THIS IS LOVELY HOME IN HEALDSBURG WITH EASY ACCESS TO TOWN, DRY CREEK VALLEY AND THE HIGHWAY. TWO WONDERFUL BEDS WITH COZY DOWN COMFORTERS AND PLENTY OF SPACE FOR LIVING WITH A VERY NICELY APPOINTED KITCHEN. I WOULD GIVE THIS A 10 EXCEPT FOR THE TRAFFIC NOISE. IF YOU ARE FROM THE CITY AND USED TO NOISE, YOU WON'T BE BOTHERED. BUT IF NOT, THIS MAY AFFECT THE QUALITY OF YOUR STAY. IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON SPENDING MUCH TIME AT THE HOUSE, EXCEPT FOR EVENINGS, THEN, AGAIN THIS MAY BE A GREAT PLACE FOR YOU. BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RELAXING HOME TO SPEND TIME OUTDOORS, JUST HANGING-OUT AND YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A QUIET, COUNTRY RETREAT, THIS MAY NOT BE THE PLACE FOR YOU. BUT IT'S VERY CONVENIENT, 5 MINUTES TO TOWN AND EASY ACCESS TO ALL THAT THE DRY CREEK VALLEY HAS TO OFFER. THE HOUSE IS WELL-APPOINTED AND MAINTAINED AND COMMUNICATION WITH VACASA COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER.

The shower didn't drain and we waded through calf height water when we showered.
The beds and couches were so uncomfortable I had to see my chiropractor immediately upon my return home.
The front door knob fell off the door.
DON'T STAY HERE!!!!
Manager response:
The shower has been cleared and the front door knob repaired. We apologize for these issues.

The location is the best thing about this house. Very central to wineries, downtown Healdsburg and Lake Sonoma. The house is very comfortable and AC works well. It was 100+ degrees when we visited.

The two callouts, although minor and can easliy be fixed, are the second bathroom outside the house was dirty and had lots of spiders. It doesn't seem like housekeeping cleans this regularly, but with five adults it was used. Also the kitchen isn't stocked well for cooking and I would expect more than cheap plastic plates and bowls.

All and all, it is a nice house and I would rent again.
Manager response:
The property manager has done inventory in the kitchen and replaced any missing items. She has also treated the bathroom for spiders and followed-up with housekeeping on the matter. Thanks!

This is the perfect place for 4-6 people looking for a convenient, comfortable spot in Healdsburg. We will be back without a doubt!

Beautiful home with tasteful decor and comfortable beds. Hottub was great and there were even lanterns for outdoor use. Great location within minutes of numerous wineries and restaurants. It even has the most comfortable sofabed I've ever slept on. Just be aware the second bathroom is just a half bathroom in a separate, unattached utility room. Not a deal breaker though. Great stay and I would consider staying again.

Location. Location. Location. Excellent. Well kept and decorated. Great games furnishings and comfy beds. Decent water pressure and hot water tank.
Judith H. Nov 2016
We hosted Thanksgiving for our college age son, girlfriend and her parents. The size of the kitchen and layout of common areas was perfect. We also enjoyed starting and ending our days in the hot tub. Especially inviting on those brisk days.
Gila R. Nov 2016
My family and I were in Healdsburg to attend a family wedding at the Madrona Manor. Even though I personally didn't stay at the house, some of my other family members did. They were very pleased with the house and loved everything about it, especially the hot tub! We were very busy with the wedding and all the other activities surrounding it, we didn't have that much time to enjoy much of Healdsburg other than visiting a couple of wineries!! would love to come back!
Christopher B. Nov 2016
We loved staying in Healdsburg at this wonderful home! The house was lovely and we would love to stay here again. Street noise was not a problem at all.
Kelly B. Oct 2016
We had a wonderful time. We are already planning the next time we can come stay. This house is the perfect location for wine tasting and enjoying everything that Healdsburg has to offer. The house is well maintained and very cozy. We had a great time. Thank you!!!

This property is well-suited for a closely acquainted family of four. It was a stress-free and quick drive to Healdsburg and the surrounding area. While situated directly on a busy road this did not negatively impact our stay. Sleeping for four, the communal living spaces, kitchen, media room, and hot-tub were well appointed, clean and as advertised. However, our group of six could not be accommodated. The sofabed could only be used directly on the floor (yet still uncomfortable) and the second 1/2 bath is in a detached, unfinished structure with a cement utility sink (which appears to be used as a hook-up for the washing machine). Since the second 'bathroom' was not of any usefulness and sleeping arrangements were inadequate, we did not find this property at all satisfactory for our girls (6) weekend.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share your feedback. The owners of this home have replaced the old sofa bed mattress with a Cool Gel Memory Foam mattress so our guests can be as comfortable as possible. We hope you get a chance to stay with us again and see the improvement for yourself!
Megan C. Sep 2016
Great house for four people. Pull out couch isn't sleepable to accommodate the six. Very clean and nicely furnished. Fantastic location.
Laura W. Sep 2016
I stayed at this house with three girlfriends and we had a great experience. It is cute, well located to get to tons of wineries and downtown Healdsburg, and has some nice touches. Rather than have two adults in the queen bedroom, one person slept on the sofa bed in the family room, and there are curtains in the doorways for more privacy. The only drawback was street noise from the road, particularly in the kind bedrooms. The rental would benefit from a white noise machine in that room. Overall, we loved this place and wish we had spent more time there. Thanks!
Suzanne C. Sep 2016
We were shocked at the accessibility to ubers throughout Healdsburg, but the house was so close to downtown, we were never overly concerned! Loved the location, the hot tub, the trees and fenced in area, and the updated interiors. What a lovely home this was! Thanks for having us and we can't wait to stay with you again.

Only negative was having to share one bathroom between the four of us-made it a little less at home, however, the shower was pretty awesome. Would definitely stay here again!
Maria F. Aug 2016
The house is lovely - it sleeps 4 very comfortably. The kitchen is well equipped and the hot tub is a treat. It can be a bit loud being right on Dry Creek Rd. but not too bad.
Melissa S. Aug 2016
Everything was perfect. It was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would like to return soon.
CAROL V. Jun 2016
NICE PROPERTY , EASY LOCATION TO TOWN.
KITCHEN VERY GOOD.
RENTERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF ROAD NOISE AND THE GATE IS ABSURDLY HEAVY AND DIFFICULT TO MOVE
JIll W. Jun 2016
My trip started out a little rough because I couldn't find the lock box - totally my fault, but in my defense it was so hot, I couldn't see straight. I panicked and spammed the entire Vacasa organization. I received a call back within minutes and Kristen was very gracious and helpful. I also received a follow up call the next day.
The property is beautify - a little rancher nestled in between several redwoods, a large patio and a crows-nest type deck with a hot tub and a great view. The house is well appointed - large, well equipped kitchen, very comfy furniture, nice linens, etc - and well located - minutes from Healdsburg and minutes from several wineries.
Thomas U. Jun 2016
Very visitor friendly--all the household necessities were provided. Comfy living room, well-supplied kitchen. Right on the highway, but row of redwoods & fence helped block out noise. We would definitely go back!
Ken N. May 2016
We were very impressed with the cleanliness & beautifully decorated vacation rental. It was the perfect location to visit wineries & there's a market just down the road to cook your meals in the gourmet kitchen.
Christina D. May 2016
Great location in Healdsburg and a very comfortable home. My sisters and I surprised our mother with a trip and she couldn't have been happier! The house had everything we needed for an amazing ladies weekend. We will stay here every time we visit the area for sure!
