As you enter through the courtyard patio, you'll be greeted by an air-conditioned interior that's been uniquely decorated with found and foraged antiques. The sleeping space is on the first floor, as are a TV with Roku streaming capability, a desk that you can use as a vanity or a home workspace, and a full bathroom with a tiled shower. The second level, accessed via a spiral staircase, is an open lounge area, where you can watch the second Roku-equipped TV on the soft leather sofa, grab a cold drink from the minifridge, and sit down at the table to enjoy last night's delicious leftovers or a game of cards.
This studio is located in the Marlyville-Fontainebleau neighborhood of New Orleans, where you'll enjoy easy access to Tulane University (one mile south), local hospitals, and a host of wonderful restaurants on Carrollton Avenue and Oak Street. You're also only a block-and-a-half from the S. Carrollton + S. Claiborne Streetcar stop. If you time your visit right, be sure to check out nearby Palmer Park for the free, open-air Arts Market New Orleans held on the last Saturday of every month. And if you're looking to get out to explore the Crescent City, it's a quick commute to the Garden District (three miles southeast), the French Quarter, and the National World War II Museum (both are four miles east).
