This house is perfect for a large group getaway in Pacific City. You'll enjoy plenty of space with three stories to spread out, close beach access, and views of both the Pacific Ocean and the Nestucca River.
Located just a two-block stroll from the beach and a short walk from the center of town, you'll have all you need nearby.
The house itself is bright, with an open layout and recent renovations.
Upstairs is a common area made up of the family room, dining room, and kitchen. Settle down in the comfy couch or armchairs in front of the flatscreen cable TV and put on a DVD, Blu-ray, or stream something on Netflix over WiFi. Find your way to the wicker rocking chairs by the wood stove and enjoy a good book and glimpse the ocean from the window.
A fully stocked kitchen with loads of counterspace makes cooking easy, with bonus amenities like a waffle iron, French press, mixer, and blender. A dishwasher takes all the stress out of clean-up, and raised stools at the counter will encourage company for the chef, who can also make use of the grill outside. The large dining table will fit eight for a family dinner.
Views of the river and mountains are clear from the kitchen windows and the balcony, which has a couple patio chairs for you to relax in the fresh air.
There's another lounging room in the basement great for kids, with two couches and a TV with DVD/VHS player and a library of movies to choose from. Pick out one of the board games at the house and have a game night!
Also in the basement is a laundry room with a washer/dryer, plus a full bathroom with stand-up shower.
All four bedrooms are on the second floor of the house - three with queen beds, and a fourth with a twin-over-full bunk bed and separate twin. There's a full bath with a tub/shower combo on this floor, and another on the third floor. All in all, this house will comfortably sleep 10.
There is much to do during your stay in Pacific City - a charming beach town, there are a number of cafes and restaurants in walking distance just across the river. Check out the Grateful Bread Bakery and the Village Coffee Shoppe for morning and lunch fare, and the Oar House Bar & Grill for seafood. There's a grocery store to purchase ingredients for your own home-cooking.
From the house, walk up to Pacific Ave. to access the beach, where you can have fun building sand castles, horseback riding, flying kites, combing for seashells, or clamming. Bring a picnic and soak up the sun on a warm day, but be sure to bring a windbreaker just in case there's a breeze.
Half a mile north you'll find Pelican Brewpub with some delicious microbrews and burgers, and the Cape Kiwanda Natural Area has some beautiful scenery to explore. Just south of the home is the Bob Straub State Park, and following the river will take you to a wildlife refuge where you are sure to see some beautiful birds.
