The natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest is all around you at this three-bedroom Port Townsend home, a warm, atmospheric, and dog-friendly retreat with a gorgeous bayfront location, a classic front porch, and direct access to a quiet and scenic pebble beach.
Beautifully situated on the shores of Discovery Bay, an inlet of the Strait of Juan de Fuca near the mouth of Puget Sound, this high bank waterfront home enjoys lovely views of the surrounding water, mountains, and shipping lanes. You'll be just across the street from a staircase to the beach, 15 miles southwest of the Port Townsend waterfront, and 16 miles east of Sequim.
Whether you're planning to explore the natural scenery of the Olympic Peninsula or the Victorian charm of Port Townsend itself, this spacious two-level cottage offers convenience, serenity, and wonderful access to a vibrant community.
Step inside to discover a living space full of craftsman details, hardwood floors, and the distinctive style of the Pacific Northwest. Take a morning stroll on the beach and return home to read the paper on the sofa, curl up by the gas-powered fireplace, or select a DVD to watch on the TV (please note that there is no cable).
Prepare breakfast for your family using the mixer, blender, and waffle iron in the kitchen, where you'll also find stainless steel appliances, a farm sink, and generous cooking space. The window-filled dining room has seating for everyone, and there's a dishwasher on hand to take care of the chores.
When the sun is out in the glorious summer months, you'll have a large porch, a charcoal grill, and patio seating to help you enjoy the weather. Read a book in a lounge chair, bring a board game outside to play with your kids, or take a sunset walk on the beach to admire the stunning views.
As many as two dogs under 80 lbs are welcome to join you at Port Townsend Perfection.
With three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, this home will accommodate a maximum of six people during your Washington getaway. You'll find a queen-size bed in the upstairs master bedroom, a queen-size bed in the bedroom off of the living room, and a twin day bed with a trundle in the upstairs guest room.
You can also feel free to spend your days fishing and whale-watching in the surrounding region - you'll come home to a claw-foot bathtub, a private washer and dryer, and WiFi to help you plan your next adventure.
Thanks to its gorgeous waterfront location on the northeastern tip of the Olympic Peninsula, Port Townsend is a place to experience the rich landscapes and history of the Pacific Northwest. This is a wonderful craftsman style home with a huge, well appointed kitchen, 3 bathrooms and welcoming gas fireplace. The setting is marvelous and we were gifted with a spectacular sunrise one of our mornings.
It was perfect for our pup who didn't care for the stay off of the furniture rule but loved the nice cool wood floors.
The light fixtures and woodwork were just simply gorgeous, the kitchen huge and the bath off of the master with the claw foot tub phenomenal. This is the perfect place for a gathering.
The recommendation for 4 wheel drive I believe is due to the driveway which is steep and newly paved. I was glad we didnt have snow.
The staircase to the beach while 80 steps was doable thanks to being broken up by decks along the way.
Be forewarned, we couldn't get TV reception which may be obscurely alluded to in the description, and didn't get much help with that dilemma until about the 5th phone call but still to no avail. Internet worked great.
We feel fortunate to have found this gem and hope to enjoy it again in the future.

Great location between two fun areas to explore. Very clean with everything you need. Nice property management who kept us updated, and then solved, a small bed issue. The master bedroom felt like a treehouse with the beautiful view. Just a sliver of rocky beach, but nice to walk down to it anyway. Home is close to neighbors, but we were fine with that. Fun chicken coop noises next door.

This was our second time at this home and I'm certain it won't be the last.

This is a really nice home. The owners have thought of everything. It is dog friendly and well-organized. Very clean throughout. The home is well-appointed with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, and everything you need other than your own food. The outdoors are as inviting as the indoors. There is a fire pit and outdoor furniture and a grill. Steps lead down to your own private patch of beach. We will be returning!

We loved the secluded location, loved the house was as it said it would be.

Very clean and beautiful home. We were able to have a family dinner for eight. Enjoy the wildlife. Sea Lions in the bay, crabs in the rocks and an amazing view.

Great location, very nice home. I would stay here again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Port Townsend Perfection. The home is beautiful and our family plus grandparents were comfortable. Booking with vacasa was easy, they were quick to respond to an issue. We were less than impressed with some basic amenities. Travel sized dish soap, shampoo and bar soap were provided but no hand soap or extra toilet paper. Packing for vacation would be so much simpler if these types of basic items were covered. The kitchen isn't all that well stocked, some items need to be replaced like old pots and pans, a few more knives besides the large butcher knife and steak knives provided would be nice. The coffee pot wasn't working, we let management know. The kids enjoyed hunting for crabs down by the water. There are a lot of steps but our youngest and Grandma all made it down and up several times. The stairs are nice with large breaks and turns so nobody can tumble too far. The front porch is perfect for watching the sun come up through the trees!

The house was great. Lots of room, very comfortable.
Beautiful view of Discovery Bay. Wish it had tv.

Well kept and nice to come back to after exploring. Great couch to crash on, kitchen worked well and the porch was lovely. Aware of road noise at about 5 am when windows were open.

We loved this property!! The front porch was really big and comfortable and the 74 steps down to the water made for a magical beachside evening with campfires and crab hunts. Definitely visit!! It's beautiful!

This house is in beautiful shape, with tasteful wood trim everywhere.

Spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated home. Well stocked kitchen. Generous bathroom supplies too.
Very pretty view from the deck and down the stairs to the beach. We enjoyed quiet time on the deck and early morning visits to the beach.
Home is easy to get to since it's just off the highway (followed instructions to turn into Wyndham resort and found the house easily though it seems tucked away). You can hear highway noise from the home however.
Vacasa was very efficient and friendly with the booking service - not your average call center at all. I had a bit of trouble figuring out the lock box when we arrived but a call to Vacasa resolved the issue and I was able to get into the house with a code override.

Roomy, comfortable house nicely finished. Great for a family getaway

House is tucked away at the end of a short cul de sac, its well decorated and my son loved having a private beach full of rocks and seashells to play with. Port townsend is a 20 minute drive away and there are a lot of beautiful hikes to do in the local area.
Only things to improve would be fact dishwasher was broken from before we arrived and wasn't fixed, and please update your property folder information :) Didn't spoil our trip and we had a wonderful time at the house.
We appreciate this guest providing feedback about their stay at Port Townsend Perfection. We are so happy to hear that they had a great stay with us. Please let us assure our guests that we have scheduled the repair of the dishwasher. Here at Vacasa, it is our highest priority to make sure each guest has the best experience possible, and our 24/7 guest hotline is always available to help if anything comes up. We hope to see this guest again!

The house was warm and comfortable. Clean and spacious for our family of 4 + our dog. We loved waking up and seeing the water from all windows and the property was quiet. Walking along the beach was wonderful. I loved the old fashioned, claw-foot tub in the master suite.
It's important to note this property is about 25 minutes outside of Port Townsend, so going to town means planning your day.

Beautiful property with great views.

The home is beautiful but the road noise was to much for my family.

Very clean and well stocked home. Absolutely no qualms about recommending this rental.

The beach house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the beach access. The location was great between port Townsend and Sequim. We bought our groceries at the Costco in Sequim. With two kids this was perfect.
Heather H.Jun 2017
Not the best area if you want a place where you can walk to the store or into town (had to drive everywhere and nothing of interest within walking distance), but otherwise a fantastic place and walking along the beach was nice. We tried walking around the neighborhood, but had some trouble crossing the highway so felt a little limited in that aspect. Other than that, we were within an hour of a lot of beautiful hikes and lakes. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed, including a grill and we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the weather and sitting on the waterfront!
Tanya B.Apr 2017
Really the property is sweet and a great place to get away from the press of things.
The driveway is steep and unpaved so be prepared when the weather is wet because the driveway will be muddy and difficult to climb up without extra traction.
Isabel P.Mar 2017
This home was perfect for a mini family vacation. There was enough room for everyone and was well-stocked with essentials. It was close to Historic Downtown Port Townsend where we would spend most of our days and we very much enjoyed their DVD collection at the end of the day when we could unwind with a good movie.

Had a lovely time for my daughters 16th birthday!!! Thank you!
Mandolin B.Mar 2017
Nice, large house with easy beach access. We especially liked the dining room layout with the tall central dining table...and we may have binge-watched the Twilight series movies (many others provided) while we were there... But beware the squeaky downstairs bed! Overall, nice beach house.
Jennifer R.Mar 2017
Such a sweet little place for a family getaway. The location is great and i enjoyed bringing my coffee down the steps to the beach each morning for a "moment of zen".
Robyn H.Dec 2016
Very fun place to stay! 20mins between sequim and pt townsend. Home was comfy and very nicely stocked with conveniences. Beautiful view!
Toby B.Nov 2016
This home was spacious, beautiful and well maintained. Everything was perfect! Thank you so much for being a dog friendly property!
Rebeca K.Nov 2016
This is a cozy Craftsman-styled home with ample bathrooms and two good-sized bedrooms on the first & second floors with comfortable beds and great views out of the windows. Its kitchen is well-equipped for cooking any type of meal for a couple or a family. One smaller, upstairs bedroom could serve multiple purposes from office, small bedroom with day-bed or reading room. For those who must have TV, the lack of cable TV might be an inconvenience, but if one is more interested in taking day trips for mountain hiking jaunts and exploring the numerous port towns in the area, Port Townsend Perfection House provides a central location from which to plan driving tours to other nearby locations in the Olympic Nat'l Part, Port Townsend, Port Angelos, Fort Warden, Port Townsend State Park, Walker Mountain View Points, Olympic Water Falls locations, Bainbridge Island, Sequim, Quilcene, etc. Six adult people can stay at the Port Townsend Perfection House comfortably, and a couple with three of four children could still be comfortable. Port Townsend Perfection House has an ample front porch that's great for relaxing while viewing the natural beauty of Discovery Bay. Plenty of restaurants and more city life are available in nearby Port Townsend just a short distance away.
Victoria S.Sep 2016
Quiet, well appointed. 15 minutes to Port Townsend, no popping out for a latte, but stayed home with a generous cup of tea ..enjoying the sunrise on the water...from the porch or living room couch.

This property was just perfect! It was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped and it was very comfortable for my family. We loved the beach access and enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our morning cup of coffee. We highly recommend this house.

This home was very comfortable and well-appointed. The view from the front porch and the beach was lovely and restful. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there, as well as the surrounding areas we visited, including Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park, Port Townsend, Whidbey Island, Deception Pass, and the surrounding towns and countryside.
