I’m always a little nervous to stay somewhere new because you never really know what you’re getting until you’re there.
This home was wonderful! Very clean (and I’m a clean freak!) it was warm, extremely well stocked kitchen, tons of games, books and movies available. The tv was actually easy to operate (didn’t need 5 different remotes to turn it on) there were sleds and tubes for sledding, tons of bikes if needed and just anything we needed was there. The little neighborhood was quiet and our kids had a great time playing outside and inside. It was a really fun trip.
I just love this house. It was so well equipped with everything. The fireplace was a bit smoky maybe needs a sweeping? But all in all a lovely home.
Loved the space , completely stocked kitchen, great location.
This place was amazing, so stocked with everything you could need and so close to amenities! Bikes, games galore! We can’t wait to go back!
We were happy with the house and liked the set up
Great layout for multiple families, walking distance to SHARC. Needs a much bigger coffee pot.
This house is behind the times, needs maintenance and is not the best option. Everything is old, tired and out of style. From the broken foosball table to the dart board with one dart to just the overall worn nature of the home.....there’s better options available.
The property manager has taken care of the foosball and darts. Thank you!
It was bigger than it looked and very cool! Definitely will be going back!
We just returned from a weeklong stay at Lofty Lane 1 which included my husband, myself our 2 adult sons and their SO's. Plenty of room for all of us without feeling crowded. The area was quiet yet very near SHARC, Fort Rock Park, and the Village. Our only issue was with the hot tub. It's an older model that has dials for the heating element and it was very difficult to get the right temperature. The first night when we arrived we went to get in and the temp was 118 degrees. We ended up not being able to use it very often because of how hard it was to set and retain a reasonable temperature." FYI..we followed the directions to a T," Maybe time for a new hot tub? Other than that, our stay was enjoyable. LOTS of games, puzzles, books to read, bikes of all sizes, well stocked kitchen.
Loved the space, and the layout. The game room in the basement was great place for the kids on a rainy day, and there were so many games and puzzles to choose from. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to manage. We really appreciated the many bikes to choose from in the big garage! Loved the rustic decor.
The bathrooms were a bit small, but as this was our first trip to Sunriver we weren't sure if this was the norm. Downstairs BR was missing the shower curtain liner. And several of the window shades were funky or broken. Don't sit on the thing that looks like a old long bench on the main floor! it only has 3 legs and topples over :)
Our family had fun from sun up to sun down. The house felt very comfortable and homey. Can't wait to go back!
The Sunriver area was a great choice for us to stay! Very relaxing, plenty to do, beautiful area! Will
definitely visit again!
Brian And Shay T. Aug 2017
We stayed here for nearly two weeks in August 2017. This is an older property with limitations...but it also has a lot going for it in terms of accommodating a family of five (parents plus three teens) and a dog. Each kid got their own space (basement has a pull out...perfect for my 17-year-old). Nice deck to enjoy a meal. Largish lot with a fair amount of privacy.
If you are looking for a pristine property, this might not be for you. Some things are dated (oven, bathrooms -- especially the shower enclosure)...but it's eclectic and charming, with cute touches throughout. It was a great value...and had everything we needed. Hot tub was older. But clean and functioning. The lot has a nice clearing from the road and bike paths (which is good/bad...especially if you want easy access for younger children). Plenty of space for my dog to explore. Solid location near Sharc and not far from the Village. Twin beds really need new mattresses (this has been mentioned before and it's really, really true). Great televisions throughout the house, allowing each guest to have some down time after busy days. Dishwasher, washer/dryer all worked fine. Of the bikes offered, only three could accommodate adults -- and only one of those have gears for longer rides. Kitchen was well appointed. Carpet is older -- and so many of the house's windows don't open. I can see this property being a problem for someone with respiratory/allergy issues. We were worried about the lack of AC (it was mid 90s for 3-4 days during out stay)...but it cooled down nicely at night and had plenty of fans.
The most important takeaway is this can offer a fabulous home base for a family (occupies up to 8...although I can't imagine having two people on the sofa pullout) for a reasonable price compared to so many Sunriver properties. We prefer to spend money doing the things we love...rafting, biking, floating, shopping, eating, drinking. So, if you have reasonable expectations going in, I think most people will be very satisfied with this property. It really doesn't have any "surprises" and looks like the pictures.
Kids loved the game room. The deck had a lot of shade and very comfortable.
This house was very clean and comfortable and has plenty of different spaces (e.g., living room, deck, basement with games and its own TV) so guests can choose either to socialize or do separate activities. The layout and decor were a bit quirky (a general rustic red-and-white theme) but certainly not offensive. The house is well located a short walk or bike ride from the SHARC and an easy bike ride to the Village. The bikes in the garage were nice to be able to use. The house was stocked with books and board games for relaxing.
We really enjoyed our four day spring break vacation to Sunriver. This house is very well-kept and clean with great amenities! We enjoyed playing in the game room in the basement (especially air hockey). The house is well stocked with board games and some classic movies. We took a hot tub every night, which was great after two days up at Mt. Bachelor (only 25 minutes away). We also loved that we could bring our dog - who had as much fun on this vacation as we did:)
Great place for the price!
We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed this well-appointed yet rustic Sunriver home. We would stay here again!
Although the house was rustic and charming, and we enjoyed a nice family weekend together, the experience could have been made better solely from small changes Vacasa could have made.
This house worked well for our needs. Thanks
Very comfortable. My favorite rental so far! Will definitely book this location again.
everything was wonderful!
This house was great! Not a whole lot of steps!
This house is located close to the SHARC and the mall.
