The house was everything that was advertised. It was great for our group and set up perfect for the amount of time we stayed. Hot tub and sauna were working perfectly. Recommend for sure
Lots of room
Amazing hot tub
We stayed there for 2 days and we enjoyed our stay. Everything is great other than the sauna. I think as not many people use the basement or sauna it gives a little foul smell(unused smell). Apart from that everything is great
We had a great time in the house with 7 guys on a ski trip. The hot tub and sauna were awesome!
The house was fun and very convinent for driving to the Killington to ski. The house is a great size and the hot tub is very nice. The house is unevenly heated. There are many separate zones which is great, but the basement would not stay at a comfortable temperature at night. It was very cold outside when we were there(-20 or so at night), but the bedrooms on the Main floor and top floors got and stayed very warm.
I brought a group to do the Spartan Beast at Killington and chose this location based on cost, proximity to Killington, and because it had a hot tub.
--The house is on a high mountain road but has no view due to the trees in front. This isn't a big deal, just a thing.
--The three bedrooms are well laid out and having multiple bathrooms was key.
--The kitchen was well stocked (but no coffeemaker?!?)
--The deck wraps around the left side of the house and is quite big. Very cool.
--Big hot tub (amazing after walking up Killington Mountain three times)
--Sauna in the down stairs bathroom was a phenomenal surprise!
The Less Good:
--The neighbors across the street have two large dogs that basically roam freely and spent the ENTIRE night barking (Do dogs not get hoarse?) Which made sleeping hard. They also came down to the house, walked on the deck and tore open a trash bag that was left out side. Phenomenal surprise in the morning.
--The house it self is very well laid out but the down stairs where the family room / double sets of bunk beds are had a very musty smell, almost like cat pee.
--No coffee maker, but I informed the service and they will hopefully remedy that.
All in all, this was a good house and the cost was great. I would definitely go here again, but I'd stop by the neighbor first and tell them to lock up the dogs.
We were bunch of friends went to Killington to hike and I booked this house for the stay. The amenities were really good and all the pictures on the website are very accurate. We had fun time in the house, esp the Hot tub and Sauna. And yes the home theater in the basement with Curved TV was really good.
This house had everything we needed for a girl's weekend. Our only issue was that the house had no screens on the windows, which made it quite buggy. I'm sure this would not be a problem in the winter time but in the summer when the nights are cool and there is no air conditioning, we needed ventilation!
We have advised the owners of the comments regarding the screens so they can consider getting some in place. Thanks!
This last minute getaway was easy to book and was please with the process. The location was great but didnt know much about the area and wish they would have provide a guess information sheet for local attractions. Alot of ththe businesses closed very early during the weekend so make sure you get what you need. Also, make the hot tub is in working condition before arriving. The house was great except the hot tub was in ththe basement away from th grill and large out door patio. My favorite room was the cozy basement with a large 3d screen with a very nice sectional. I would stay again but will do mor research in local things to do. The pillows were a bit hard and not so much soft but there were plenty of towels .
We're pleased the guest had the opportunity to get away last minute. All reservations include a link to our guest portal that includes a list of local attractions. The hot tub was working--but it had been filed that day and it took time to warm up. Thank you.
Stayed here with a group of 8 for the fourth of july. Very pleased with the house and the surroundings. Private, well kept, clean, etc. I was offered both early check in and late check out and I took advantage of both options. Would definitely book the house again!
This house is in a great location. The river that runs by the house is very peaceful. The inside of the house was accommodating for our large group. Would stay again!
Came with a group of 10 people. House was spacious and had everything you would need plus more. Great location (close to ski trails), amenities (wifi, hot tub, sauna and fireplace). Host answered all questions on timely manner. We were happy with our experience and would def stay in this house again!
Great house, loved staying here
Group of friends stayed here for a ski trip to killington. It was Great!
Awesome house in a beautiful place! Will defiantly be back again.
Communication was great! House has well stocked kitchen for our home cooked dinners. Great for a group!
We had a great stay and would consider staying there again
We stayed here for a family wedding at Mountain Meadows Lodge and it was perfect! We had two generations (including a 1 year old) and really took advantage of everything from the hot tub and pool table to the relaxing deck and gorgeous views. The floor plan was great with a private master suite upstairs, two bedrooms on the main floor, and bunk beds on the lowest level with the pool table/ ping pong table and outdoor hot tub. I loved that this place offered wifi and tv and that the house had everything we needed like mugs, a tea kettle, silverware, dishes, and towels. There wasn't any air conditioning but it wasn't needed. It was a little difficult to find family-friendly dining in the area for a larger group like ours, but it is really close to some amazing pancakes and the Long Trail Brewery. I would definitely stay at this place again!
We had 5 adults and 3 kids at the house and it was perfect! The kitchen was well equipped and the kids loved the game room downstairs and the bunk beds. The location is excellent, just 5-10 minutes to the heart of Killington ski resort area. The house was very clean. Would stay again and highly recommend.
We were very happy with the home and how clean it was and that the lights were on for us when we got there as it was at dusk. Limited cell phone coverage but a phone was there for our use! The hot tub was amazing. We would have liked to open some windows as it had been super muggy and humid but there weren't screens so that would have been helpful. I stayed in the master suite and it was great.
Very good experience. The owners seem proud of their house. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. Towels were laid out for us. The hot tub was all set to go (and let me tell you, this is one of the best hot tubs you'll ever sit in). The first had wood ready to be lit. It was a pleasure to stay there.
Great location, lots of space, very clean, amenities are terrific! A little older home but very clean and a wonderful accommodation!
This was a great weekend getaway for a group of us. There was plenty to do at the house and around the house. While we were there we got to see a lot of local wild life (moose in the parking lot of the local market, and a bear that came to visit at night looking for some food). It was a lot of fun and had options for everyone who went, definitely would recommend to anyone!
*If you are someone that likes using fans I would recommend packing a travel one or something. The master bedroom on the top floor got hot during the day and only has one small window to open.
My family of 8 fell in love with this house! We spent three nights here in July and it was a great experience. The house is clean and was well stocked with soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. The house has a nice amount of privacy. There are about two flights of wooden steps to go down to get to the front door and then there is a wrap around wooden deck around the whole house. Sitting on the deck was a dream given that it is surrounded by trees and very private and there is the sound of a running stream giving a very nice ambiance. The hot tub was great and the pool/ping pong table was a lot of fun for the kids. We had an issue with the DVD players but Jorge (the local manager) came by and replaced them the same day. A few things to keep in mind: first of all, the house is dated and shows signs of age. For example, we were not able to get all of the windows open (Jorge couldn't either). Note as well that there is no air conditioning and the house is not particularly well ventilated so it was quite uncomfortable on the days that it was hot outside. All in all we had a great experience and all members of my family voted that we would gladly come back in the future.
We stayed here over a summer weekend to attend the Killington Wine Festival and it was wonderful... the house and the festival! Lots of great wines and liquors to taste test. Highly recommended event.
House and furniture were very comfortable. The house does not have air conditioning, which at first we thought would be an issue in a heat wave, however, there are lots of trees and shade and the house stayed cool with just the windows and doors being open. There is also a small stream next to the house and it was very relaxing to hear it with the windows open.
Staying here was more like staying at a hotel than other homes I've rented in the past. They provided the necessities like shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens and towels. It was very stress free and easy. We were very happy with our stay overall. You will not be disappointed if you book this house.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was in a great location and had plenty of things to do around the area. We loved going to the Long Trial Brewery and doing some shopping in Woodstock. Kent Pond was another cool spot that is near the Appalachian Trail. Next time we will bring our kayaks! We actually didn't mind that it rained on our trip because there was so much to do at the house. You can enjoy the hot tub, play pool, ping pong, or a board game. We hope to be back soon to enjoy some winter activities!
