This was a great house and perfect for our needs. The house is less than a 10 minute walk to Circuit Ave (where most of the restaurants and shops are). Air conditioning was installed literally the day we checked in and it was a gift from the heavens. There is AC in every bedroom and the living space and kitchen down stairs as well as fans. We were a group of 8 and the 4 bedrooms worked out perfectly for us. A couple of the bedrooms (ie the one downstairs and one upstairs) are on the cosier side, but worked fine for the couples who were staying there. The bedroom with two beds at the back of the house is nicely sized and I would image being perfect for children or teens who want more of their own space. Bedroom at the front of the house had a great screened in balcony where I sat with my boyfriend every morning to enjoy the tranquillity. There are two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) we mostly used the one downstairs as it was a large shower, rather than the clawfoot tub upstairs. There is also an outside shower which we used a lot and was perfect for after the beach. We enjoyed using the deck and the street isn't busy at all so there is plenty of privacy. The kitchen is basically fully stocked with a lot of cutlery, plates, utensils etc. Wifi and TV worked great as well. House comes with beach chairs and umbrellas which were VERY useful. Overall, I highly recommend!

Awesome place with tons of room for the whole gang. Would absolutely stay here again. Plus, within walking distance to Oak Bluffs!

Location is great! A bit of a quirky house- the fans helped but be advised no AC and the upstairs can get really warm!

Fabulous location!!! Walking distance (15-20 mins) to the beautiful downtown area filled with shops and restaurants. The house has everything you need, well stocked and amazing front porch area to relax.
The property manager was very nice and responsive when we couldn't find or open the lock box right away. Very helpful and nice over the phone, genuinely cared and wanted us to have a great vacation.
We had 10 people in our group and everyone enjoyed their time at the house. The house says it can hold 12 people, and it does have enough beds for those to "double up" to 12, however there is one bedroom on the end of the house and in order to access the staircase or bathroom from there, you have to walk through another bedroom, which made some awkward moments when folks were changing etc. I would recommend this place if you don't use the middle bedroom upstairs (max 10). Also there is only one bathroom with a shower (downstairs), and there is no heating or air conditioning but there are fans in every room.. so pack and bring clothes accordingly. Lovely place to stay w/ a large group.. would definitely stay again!

The property was very quaint and an overall nice place to stay. Check in/out was effortless. The home was clean, very well kept, and had enough space for everyone to sleep. It's a great house to rent for a family vacation. Lots of outdoor space. The location of the property is apprx. a 15 minute walk to Oaks Bluff downtown and the beach, which is nice because you don't need a car unless you want to travel to other parts of the island.

Really great house in an even better location! So close to town, we walked there everyday. The house was perfect for our group. Tons of rooms, and the kitchen was very inviting and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy stroll to town, no more than 15 minutes. Would not recommend for small children, stairs were steep and difficult for toddlers, who of course decided this was where they wanted to be! we had a 3, 2, and 1-1/2 year old. Probably would work for age 4 or 5 and up. Teens would enjoy the private back bedroom with two double beds.

My friends and I stayed here and we could not have been more pleased with the location of the house. Perfect distance from Oak Bluffs town and the many restaurants it has to offer....The house was perfect for what it was, a vacation home. My only real complaint would be that there was only 1 real shower. Everyone seemed to have their own space, and we thoroughly enjoyed the large porch. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a house that is close to the center of OB. Thanks again!

The Wayland Victorian was perfect for a group of 12 people. Although there is no A/C unit, most of the time a nice breeze was enough to keep us cool. The home's location in relation to Oak Bluffs was great. It took no longer than a 10 minute walk to get to downtown and around 15 minute walk to the ferry. The outdoor space was also ideal, with a relaxing vibe. It's also located in a quaint neighborhood. I would recommend this house to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed the delightful porch which comfortably sat our group of 10 as did the kitchen table and living room area
The house needs some fresh paint and repairs
It is conveniently located

Six girlfriends and I stayed here for the inaugural Martha's Vineyard Marathon & Half Marathon. We chose this property because it was within walking distance to the ferry, downtown, and the finish line for the race. The fact that it was also extremely reasonably priced was a bonus.

While the outside left something to be desired, the inside was just as cozy as the pictures depict. And while maximum occupancy is listed as 12, I don't think I'd do more than 6 or 7 adults. There were seven of us, and it was just enough space for each of us to spread out. There is only one true shower (which had one of those overhead rain shower heads) and it is on the first floor, through the kitchen in the rear of the house, away from all but the one main floor bedroom.

I enjoyed sitting in the bay window, flipping through the books on the "take one, leave one" library shelf. When we weren't out exploring the island it was my favorite spot in the house.

Note: We arrived on a warm spring day in mid-May. When we got to the property the upstairs was like a sauna! The description on VRBO does not tell you that the home is not air conditioned, but we quickly got the hint when we saw all of the small window fans throughout the property. We opened all of the windows to let the heat escape. But then after that it was much too cool, even with all of the windows shut and all of the ceiling fans turned off, as the temperatures dropped dramatically that night. There is a small heater installed on the main floor. We didn't try it though because we didn't locate the instructions until it was too late.

There were mixed reviews from the ladies in my group. Some liked Wayland house, some didn't. But it met all of our basic needs. I would stay here again.

Very nice house close to downtown oak bluffs. Gorgeous kitchen. Only one true shower, the other bathroom has a bath tub, but very quaint nice place to stay

Inside served our group well. Kitchen was nice. The home served its purpose and we enjoyed our time on the island.
