Well organized cabin with everything you need but food for a nice holiday break. Short drive to Truckee or Tahoe and quick walk to Lake Prosser hiking trails.
This cabin was so comfortable and spacious. Everything was in good condition and worked perfectly. I would definitely stay here again!
The house was very cosy, very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen provided a lot of tools to cook. And the sofa chairs were super confortable. We had a good stay with my family.
Perfect for a quiet getaway!
The location of this lovely vacation home was perfect for us, close to relatives living in Truckee, and that was exactly what we needed. So glad I found this.
Great location, clean house and good price. Would definitely recommend!
The house was beautifully situated on a quiet street. Inside we were very comfortable. The home was clean and well stocked.
Love a cottage love around great weather
Quiet, cute, cabin with plenty of space for 4 ladies on a ski trip
I have been to the Lake Tahoe/Truckee area 5 tomes in the last year. This time was with my family to see if we really wanted to make the move. The neighborhood setting of the cabin was a great choice versus a hotel. Quiet and peaceful are just a couple words that describe it. Because of the cabin location and Truckee in general, we are in the midst of planning the permanent move to Truckee.
Perfect cabin for our family of 5 located just under 30 minutes from Squaw- Alpine ski area. Great neighborhood which doesn't feel too removed yet offers enough space and privacy to enjoy some respite from city life. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our 4 day stay. There were plenty of towels and linens which with 3 kids we appreciated. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated with new appliances and the cabin is obviously well cared for. We have already booked to return next month.
Apple TV was the only TV they had. Not user friendly to those of us that do not have it! We could not find a normal show that did not require payment for our entire stay. Even the least expensive hotel has free. TV.
Well equipped with everything needed for a few days stay. we could never get the tv to work and could not find any directions. Not much of a problem but would have been nice.
The home was fabulous for a weekend family getaway. We had a marvelous time hiking, kayaking, and just enjoying each other's company in a relaxing, scenic location.
Nice house with a great location!
Well equipped cabn for meal prep, entretaining, and mostly comfortable vacationing. Master and lower guest room.beds are not comfortable and can use updatimg, no cable TV connection.
Bring your own laptop to stream films or a DVD collection.
Kitchen is great for meal prep and dining in.
If you are looking for a small stand alone cabin, then this is your spot. It's better than a condo, in every way, except size. This place has privacy, it has an amazing deck with grill. The location is just outside of Truckee, in a great neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.
This cabin is a cozy comfortable home away from home. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back again.
The photos of this cabin are totally misleading. The 5 of us felt so cramped! The cabin is much smaller than it appears... I suggest you either ask for square footage of this place or check out virtual view. But it wasn't the worst part.... The worst part was upstairs room floors are so squeaky that it makes it impossible to sleep for the person downstairs.
There was no patio furniture on the patio, and we couldn't drag in out of the storage room... So we sat on plastic chairs with no table. We also had to spend $35 to refill the gas for the bbq in the middle of cooking..... Overall not a cabin I would return to.
Great location, easy access, and wonderful property. Warm and welcoming I would definitely stay here again.
Good location, clean with all furnishings and appliance. Very cozy.
If you have to be stuck in a blizzard in Truckee, this home is a great place to wait out the storm! The only thing to keep in mind for anyone traveling with children, or bored couch potatoes-the TV is not hooked up to any cable/satellite. You may want to bring some dvds for entertainment. We had a great time, record snowfall and all.
Very cozy and cute. Loved Truckee!
Will definitely come back.
Great cabin very cozy and beautiful! We enjoyed our stay here!
It's a very nice and cozy cabin, we loved the location and the view, good size and had all amenities. I totally recommend this place and definitely will be back soon!
Perfect location. Like new everything. Lots of upgrades makes this cabin a luxury stay.
My 3 day September stay had perfect weather. Nice location in a quiet neighborhood in north Truckee just 5 minutes from town by vehicle.
The cabin was very well stocked and had a cozy log cabin type ambiance. The wood work in this place is beautiful. The upstairs ceiling a slanted, like in an a-frame so watch your head!
Bathrooms are ample, one shower and one great tub (with a shower).
We didn't so any cooking here so I really can't say whether or not a cook would be comfortable in the kitchen but from what I saw there seemed to be plenty of cooking equipment to make great meals.
We didn't even turn on the TV so can't say anything bad or good. There were 4 remote controls to the equipment though and that's way too many for me to want to deal with. It appeared to be a great system with nice TV, surround sound, DVR, etc.
All in all it was a very nice place to stay, I didn't feel like I was in somebody else's house, it felt homey and inviting. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
I recently stayed at this property with a few close friends and we had a fantastic time. The property itself is superbly clean, comfortable, and cozy. All the necessary amenities were there including towels, tissues, toilet paper, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Our only concern was that the front door handle was very loose, we felt as if any time we'd open the door the handle could potentially break off. Besides that, it was a great stay. The cabin has heating, a great sound system, oven, microwave, refrigerator, as well as other appliances. Would definitely recommend!
Nice cosy cabin in a great location. Neighbors were nice and friendly too.
Cozy, stylish, clean cabin in a peaceful and green location not far from Lake Tahoe, North Star, Squaw Valley and historical Truckee center. Beautiful and comfortable.
Overall the property was very nice although a little small, 1100 square feet. The photo's on the web site made it appear larger but overall it worked out perfectly. I had 2 issues though. When we arrived on Thursday the bear trash container was completely full. When I checked the property info you emailed me it stated that garbage pick up was on Tuesday. Luckily we happened to be home on Friday when the garbage truck was picking up the trash and we were able to flag them down to take out the garbage. Otherwise it would have been a little difficult. You need to update your info with the proper garbage pick up days. The other issue is the front door doesn't lock properly so when we left the property if someone pushed hard on the door they could have entered the property. Slider in the family room also doesn't lock easily as well but that was less of a problem as you have the wooden bear sticks that lock the door. Finally, the sign stating that no shoes be worn in the house was a little much and should have been listed on the website, not as a surprise when we arrived. I thought the property had a/c but I might have missed that on the website and the fans in the cabin worked well. The kitchen was great, bathrooms and the access to hot water were great, and overall we had a great time. Probably would rent a larger cabin next time. Thanks ,
We apologize for the inconveniences experienced with this stay. The Property Manager has updated the home information to reflect garbage pick-up on Friday, and the owners are looking to fix the sliding door lock, but we are unsure when this will take place. As it is, the door does lock (with some difficulty - we apologize), and the front door lock is working well. This home is not advertised with air conditioning, and we do apologize for any confusion there.
Our family enjoyed the cabin and plans on coming back next year.
My family and i loved it will def stay here again
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back and recommend the place to our friends and families .
