Welcoming house w/lovely deck, view of trees, community pool, tennis & more
You'll love the wooded view (and glimpse of the Sierras) from the deck of this Groveland vacation rental! Near community amenities such as a swimming pool and set up for groups, the home is ideal for your next getaway.
The area around the house is serene and wooded, and it's only two miles to Groveland's shops and eateries. Take a stroll of under a mile to the Pine Mountain Marina for fishing and boating (please be aware guests may not bring their own boats, but there are nonmotorized-boat rentals available at the marina). When you want to visit Yosemite National Park, it's a quick 26-mile drive east. Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is just 54 miles away, and Black Oak Casino is about 27 miles away.
With large windows and glass doors out to the porch, natural light streams in and bathes the living areas in sunshine. Light a fire in the wood stove and curl up with satellite TV or a DVD. There's WiFi available in case you want to check tomorrow's weather.
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you'll need to prepare delicious meals for your group. Brew some coffee in the morning to help perk yourself up, then make a hearty breakfast to get ready for the day's hike. Enjoy your meal at the table inside or on the patio furniture, where the fresh air lends savor. If you're more in the mood for a barbecue, there's a gas grill on the deck. When you've finished eating, slide the dishes into the dishwasher.
Spend afternoons at the marina, swimming or fishing from a paddleboat out on the water. Go for a bike ride on the local trails, play a game of tennis, or go horseback riding. An excellent golf course nearby will delight anyone wanting to work on their swing. Be sure to explore Groveland itself, which has dining options ranging from the Iron Door Saloon to Dori's Tea Cottage and more.
Yosemite National Park is one of the nation's most beautiful places to hike. Take the trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls - make sure to bring enough water along! Rock climbers will love the famous crack climbing, especially the tough Dawn Wall route. On a sunny day, rent a raft and float down the river.
Pack your sporting gear and get ready for outdoor adventures!
* Please be aware that cell phone reception is very spotty in this area, and that guests must purchase a parking pass at a rate of $27 per vehicle. Thank you!

Loved the great room/kitchen combo! Kitchen was well equipped. Living room furniture could use some updating. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and roomy.
Everything as described
We had perfect days in a wonderful house, with two bedroom and seperate bathroom. A wonderful view from the terrace, were we had breakfast and BBQ every day! If possible, we will choose this location again! Thank you very much to the host!
The house is location in a nice gated park around a lake with several beaches and a marina. Properties are quite far apart: lots of privacy and silence. The house is large: a large living room plus three bedrooms with two bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen.
Great house to visit Yosemite. Nice swimming lake
Nice and spaceous place to stay if you want to relax on the parc or go to Yosemite!
Great location, excellent place, loved it
Pasamos un gran fin de semana toda mi familia les encanto
We loved the outdoor deck overlooking the pine trees. We had fabulous time having breakfast and dinner on the deck. Well equipped kitchen and all home amenities !
We had a great time. It was a perfect house for our family during our trip to Yosemite. Our small kiddos lived the house, the bunk beds, and the deck!
The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The setting was beautiful and the only hiccup was the security pass not being in the place it was supposed to be.
Espectacular el lugar. Hermoso, aseado, espacioso, bien ubicado. El mejor lugar para estar a tan solo media hora de Yosemite National Park
The house is big and perfect for group. Good location, clean rooms and I could find everything necessary to cook, drink and to stay comfortable in the house. I would stay again in that house or others, using this service. Thank you vacasa!
We really enjoyed thehime feeling and the beauty of the surroundings. Hard to think of anything better
Everything in the property wasok
Very welcoming house, makes you feel right at home. Amenities were provided, and Vacasa customer service was excellent.
It was super great time with my family in this amazing house.
I highly recommended here.
This house is well cared for and very clean, from the minute you walk in the door there is a sense of comfort.
It's about an hour and a half drive to the village. Not terribly close
Very nice property, spacious, good beds, great deck, well stocked and well located.
House is very comfortable for a family deck is terrific. Quiet, lovely view, like being in a tree house.
My family have had a wonderful holiday at the property. Everything was perfect, especially the porch. We spent most of our evenings out there for the BBQ and we didn't need to cook in the kitchen at all during our 5-day stay.
The house is located in a gated community and is close to Yosemite. There are lots of activities within the community and we spent the day time touring the Yosemite and the evening playing tennis or swimming in the lakes.
They have provided everything we needed for our stay - kitchen was well stocked and all the amenities were plenty for our use including washing powder. We did not need to buy anything extra.
There is a good supermarket nearby - 3 minutes drive or say 20 minutes walk. Plenty of choices and the prices were very reasonable.
Vacasa has provided very good services, from the first minute we booked the house and before check in. Very well done.
The house was our base for Yosemite. Although the house is only about 25 miles to the entrance , once inside the park traffic was very heavy. Still had s great time and thought groveland was a good base. Used the lake one day and it was nice but crowded . The house was much bigger than I thought it would be. Everyone slept great. The $27 per car parking pass is ridiculous . That's the only negative.
We loved our stay here. It is a convenient one hour drive to yosemite valley. Wish we could have stayed longer and explored the surrounding a little more which we didn't get a chance to. Will surely visit again.
We rented this place in the past years, so we know exactly what to expect. Excellent place!
We stayed here for two nights, and found out that the house is very clean and nice. We found everything you need. Obviously, will be happy to stay here again.
This is an excellent accommodation for families upto 8 people. It has all the facilities and equipment and is extremely comfortable.
Everything was very accommodating and very clean. The view from the deck is amazing and the layout of the house was very kid friendly. The only thing that was a bit off putting was the carpeted dining area. With having small children we were paranoid about them dropping food. Otherwise it was perfect for our first family snow trip all together. It was also very convenient that the snow was so close, only about a 30 min drive from the house. Thank you very much for your lovely home.
We stayed in Groveland and had a great family vacation. Snow is only a short drive away and kids had a blast!
We were family of 7 visiting Yosemite for 3 days 2 nights stay. Everybody was very comfortable in the house. Views from the patio are nice as the rental property is on the top of the mountain. It takes about 1.5 hrs to reach to Yosemite Valley from Hwy 120.
Condition of the rental property is very nice, living room furniture is mixture of old and new furniture. All the bedrooms have cozy beds, Garage is big enough for 2 cars. Internet is good, although our cellular service was spotty, you can get At&t network outside the home and some places inside as well. Lot of kitchen stuff already available in the house, no need of bringing anything extra.
If you are checking in after hours in the evening or in the night, you have to pick the car passes from the mailbox at the REMAXX office in the town which is not far from the Pine Mountain lake property, but the VACASA board is not visible clearly in the night as it is fixed in the ground. Also, the lockbox which has key to the house will be located and attached to a water tap which is on the left side of the main door of the property (we had to search a bit using torch as it was pretty dark in the evening).
The house was in perfect condition, was very comfortable for our stay and in a great location. A lovely place to relax. Will definitely visit again!!
Very good, solid recommend
We enjoyed our stay in Groveland had a nice dinner on the patio on our first night before hiking half dome and it was nice to have a comfortable place to rest after a long day hiking. I just wished we had more time to make it to the lake it looked like a great place to spend a day kayaking or jus relaxing by the water.
My husband and I flew to CA for our son's graduation from Law School. It was also our 30th wedding anniversary. We were so pleased to enter a very well kept home, very clean and comfortable!
We stayed two nights and wished we could have had a week! It had a lovely Master bedroom and bath, with a very large closet ready to use. The shower was very nice with a hand-held nozzle and a built-in seat.
Besides the lovely view from the large second story deck, the large kitchen and living area were very inviting. But perhaps one of my favorite parts was the large, perfectly ordered garage that we put our vehicle in. It was also where the washer and dryer were located (especially helpful).
It was simply a great place and an exceptional price. I hope to visit again!
This is a lovely house in a great location. It was perfect for my family's needs and we all felt very much at home during our stay. It is very close to the lake recreation area and the market nearby off of Ferretti road. If you are planning to visit Yosemite, its a little more than an hour away if you take the 120 East. We will definitely be planning another visit soon!
This is one of the best properties we have stayed at while visiting Yosemite. House is in excellent condition, with several helpful notes everywhere you would need them. Kids had a blast in the bunk bed. One of the best features is the well maintained deck with spectacular views of the forest.
We planned to arrive to the property on 7/5/16 late evening.
Before the arrival, on 7/5, I called Vacasa to make sure that the lockbox code and the location of the lockbox will be available in the check in documents at the Vacasa office. The Vacasa representative assured that all this info will be provided, and the check in will be easy.
We arrived around 9 pm with the family of 3 small kids, picked up the documents in the mailbox at Vacasa office, and followed to the property. It was already dark, and the lockbox was not seen on or around the door. None of the Vacasa emails or documents picked at the office had the information about the lockbox location. Also, my cellphone did not work in this area.
I had to drive back to the gate. Kids started to cry. Fortunately, there was a pay phone, and, fortunately, I had a change to pay for the emergency call to Vacasa. Thanks god, there was a representative on duty, and he pointed out the location of the lockbox, few meters away from the front door. About an hour after arrival, I was able to enter the property.
That was not a pleasant experience.
Another issue with the Vacasa customer service.
In the package provided in the Vacasa office, there were two blank passes for 2 cars in our party. The passes were issued only for 7 days each. Our vacation lasted 12 days, so we needed a second set of 2 passes for the remaining 5 days. I called Vacasa in advance several times asking to issue the additional passes, and was promised the issue will be resolved. The only place to pick up the passes was a Vacasa office in Groveland. I visited it several times around noon, but the office was closed. The passes were not also delivered to the rental house. So, we had to “sneak” through the gates using expired passes.
The rental property 08/108 itself was in a good condition. No complaints.
We rented properties from RE/Max in Groveland for many years. But now, because of unsatisfactory customer service from Vacasa, I doubt if we will do it in the future.
We are very sorry to see that entering the home and using the parking passes was such a hassle for this guest. All lockbox/entry code information is provided to our guests via email a week prior to check-in; we ask that guests please read through this information carefully to ensure they do not miss anything. The parking passes were mistakenly deemed expired by the attendants at the main gate, but these passes were actually fine for the duration of the guest's stay. Again, we apologize that these items were so stressful for our guests.
