Re: visit in July 2018: We really liked the interior layout of this condo. The furniture was comfortable and the unit was nicely decorated. The kitchen had beautiful granite countertops and overall was useable, even for those of us who prefer to cook with gas. The bathrooms were also very nice. Having said this, the main TV wasn't working well when we got there, and it took quite a bit of fiddling with the TV, Direct TV box, and cables to finally get it to work. We never rented with Vacasa before, so it wasn't clear who to contact after hours. The deck furniture was also pretty much hammered given a lot of it is cheap plastic. This review is titled "it depends" because even though we're from Utah, we went to Solitude hoping to find some peace and quiet. We weren't able to determine where this (or for that matter other condos at Solitude) are located at the resort - the description simply says it's a corner unit. As it turns out, this particular unit is directly adjacent to the only outside walkway to the building and pool area, and yep, adjacent to the pool as well. There's no A/C so in the summer you have to open windows to cool the place down. It IS on the first floor, and at least isn't as hot as upper floors, but it still got warm. On the second day of our stay, a nice Vacasa lady brought us a box fan which helped. Nonetheless, if you like people walking by your open windows and especially enjoy listening to screaming kids from 10am until 9pm, then this is the place for you! : ) If you wanted some "solitude"...then this is not. So, is it really great? It depends. Having said all this, the noise and the lack of ventilation (until we got the box van) were the main drawbacks. It's a nice condo in a beautiful setting. ......and no, I didn't read the reviews which might have helped. Doh!

Everything was terrific. Only downside was no food market nearby.

We loved staying right at Solitude this year. So nice to be able to walk out the door to restaurants, shops, the pool/spa, and most importantly - the ski lift. Our family of four was very comfortable in the unit with plenty of space to eat, watch movies, and get ready in the morning. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly when we had questions and made us feel welcome. The underground parking with luggage carts was key to getting all of our luggage and groceries into the unit. A very great trip that we are missing already.

This is a great property for a family. It's on the corner closest to the slopes so you can actually drop your stuff onto the deck rather than walk around the building to the door. It's also right down the hall from the pool and hot tub, as well as the other amenities of Club Solitude. The ski lift is a 5 min walk away and restaurants are even closer. The kitchen had everything we needed and the kids loved the bunk bed. Only thing to be aware of - since it is on the first floor people are waking by your windows all day and into the evening. Also, if you come in the spring like we did, the run-off from the roof will be loudly going down the metal drainpipe next to the master bedroom window at all hours. But for us the convenience of the first floor made it worth it. We'd still at here again.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our trip to Solitude. The smaller mountain village was nice as it didn't have the large number of people and congestion that comes with a larger resort. We never waited in lift lines and everything was very easy to get to. If you plan to eat in just make sure to stop at a grocery store in Salt Lake City before coming up the canyon as there is not a regular grocery store in the village. If you don't bring groceries you will not be disappointed as the food is good at all the restaurant options in the village.
