Charming cabin w/ private hot tub - great for a family - close to town & lake

Bursting with character, this eclectic Big Bear Lake cabin is just what you and your family or group of friends need to enjoy your next mountain escape. After a day full of hiking in the near by National Forest, simply spend quality time around this well-equipped home.ell-equipped home.

Conveniently located in enchanting Big Bear Lake, you'll have an easy access and a short drive to all of the fun activities around town. Winter brings snow sports while summer is filled with water fun on the lake. Plus, the Village is just down the road and houses shops and eateries.

The exterior is a bright yellow with green trim, standing out perfectly among the wooded surroundings, while the interior brings the forest right to you with wood floors, ceilings, and walls.

Bring out the hamburgers and hotdogs for a cookout on the side deck. Use the provided grill outside and whip up delicious sides in the full kitchen just through the door. All you'll need are fresh ingredients as the kitchen is equipped with major appliances, as well as great extras like a microwave, coffeemaker, blender, waffle iron, and toaster.

Feel free to take advantage of the wonderful summer climate and sit out on the wrap around deck. Read a book, surf the web or just relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air on the second floor balcony.

Stay inside and eat around the dining table for six in the cooler months. And after a great meal, head into the living room to settle onto one of the sofas while catching up with loved ones, watching a movie on the flatscreen TV and Blu-ray DVD player (high speed Wi-Fi and 200 channel cable are included), or playing a game of cards around the coffee table. Make a crackling fire in the wood burning fire place and don’t forget to make delicious s’mores treats as you enjoy the fire. Sit in the hot tub!

One full bathroom with a tub/shower combo is located downstairs at the end of the hall. Up the stairs are two bedrooms, each featuring a queen-size bed and set of twin bunk beds (4 twins), giving plenty of sleeping options for all guests.

Snow bunnies flock to Big Bear when feet of powder cover the ground. Snow Summit (three and a half miles away) and Bear Mountain (five miles away) resorts are just up the mountain. You can even just hop on the shuttle, which picks up just down Highway 18. Spend hours and days downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and more. When you need a break from the cold, go bowling, see a movie, or grab a hot meal around town.

The lake is perfect for cooling off in the summer. The marina has jet ski, boat, and fishing equipment rentals, and you can even try out parasailing! Visit the Discovery Center near Fawnskin or the Alpine Zoo up next to Bear Mountain Resort, or buy wristbands for the whole group to enjoy a thrilling day at Magic Mountain a few miles away, which houses an alpine slide, water slide, go-karts, and mini-golf.

Make memories with loved ones, have fun and relax when you stay at the Bee Bear Cabin !

Loved it! it was cozy and warm. It was perfect! the only downside was the hot tub. We had a hard time adjusting the temperature, but other than that it was a great weekend!

We had a great time here. We stayed for 2 nights and the cabin was really cozy and the jacuzzi was perfect for the end of the day after going snowboarding. The neighborhood was nice and secluded yet just a 6-8 min drive to the village. The road leading up to it is a little steep and can get icy in the winter so just make sure you're prepared with chains or 4WD if you're going up there.
Overall we loved this place and would definitely book it again, only for longer!

We had a great stay in this home and would recommend to others. If it’s snowing my only advice would be to make sure you have 4wd as the road leading to it is private and a little steep.

We loved staying here. Neighborhood was EXTREMELY quiet (maybe one car drove by all weekend), and the house was perfectly for our family.

The cabin had everything we needed and more... it's a great place to just kickback and relax .. it's close to markets, town shops, it was quiet & peaceful sitting at the table in the cool summer breeze.. we will definitely be staying at the Bee Bears Cabin from now on.. the place was very homey, not like a hotel where you just go to sleep.
Thank you very making our stay pleasant. .

Loved the cabin, great location. For the Summer when it warms up it would be nice to have some ceiling fans in the rooms. Other than that we had a great time.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this quaint, cozy cabin. It was perfect for our small family. My kids loved it. It was very clean, had everything we needed to cook and we enjoyed the surrounding views, including the sitting area in the backyard. It's also minutes from the lake, the village and other fun places. We would definitely recommend this cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The beds are comfortable, the heater/AC unit worked great and kept us warm with the snowy weather outside, and it's located just a few minutes away from the village and restaurants which was convenient. I would highly recommend staying here!

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Bees Bears!!! I definitely will come back. The house was very charming and really felt like home away from home. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The house was equipped with everything we needed and made our mini vacation super easy and memorable.

Great vacation spot.

Cabin was convenient to the Village and shopping within Big Bear. It was exactly as described online...Small, but a good size and layout for a family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans.

The cabin is a very cozy and very clean. The location is great My family and I had a great week.

This is a nice place for the money. The kitchen was lacking some basics and the TV is very small for the living room but the beds are comfortable and the location is great if you want to be close to the forest.
Kristin C. Jan 2017
It was a small but nice place.

The Bee Bears was very cozy and inviting cabin. We were pleased with the location as it was near the lake. Also driving distance to the Village, and ski resorts nearby. The cabin has 2 comfortable rooms with full beds and bunks in each of them. The bathroom is downstairs but it's a nice size.
The back of the cabin has places for the kids to go sledding which we all enjoyed.

The cabin is in a good, safe location, very woodsy feel, and not too crowded in among others. It has some quirks, but if you think of it as a rustic cabin in the woods, you'll enjoy it. Be aware that the one bathroom is downstairs, which are shallow, but there are good rails.

The cabin was nice and cozy, it was located in a good area however there's not much to walk to around but is great for a weekend getaway. Vacasa however did not provide us with any check out instructions and didn't answer their phone, we finally got ahold of someone and was told we needed to take our trash with us (our whole car was packed and ready to go) so we had to bring our trash bags in our car and look up a trash site because Vacasa failed to provide us with those instructions prior. Cabin= 5 stars, Vacasa= 2 stars
Manager response:
We sincerely apologize that this guest took their trash home with them. Upon check-in, on a sign near the front door, and in the home's binder we state instructions for trash disposal; we apologize that this guest was somehow left unaware. We did not receive any phone calls from this guest during their stay and believe they may have been trying to reach a third party whom they booked through. Correct contact information for Vacasa can be found in emails received directly from us and in the home's binder. Again, we are sorry to see that this guest had the unpleasant experience of driving out with their trash.

It was vey hot and we did not get any sleep. This unit needs AC for the summer time. It was very clean and the location is great.
