Lakefront home w/ lake views, private dock & shared pool! Yosemite nearby!

Come for a relaxing lakefront vacation at this cozy home in Groveland, CA. With peaceful lake views, a scenic walk to the private dock, and ample entertainment options, up to eight guests will enjoy a comfortable stay here!

Located in the Pine Mountain Lake community, you'll have access to shared tennis courts, a community pool, golf course, equestrian center, and hiking trails through the pine forest. Not to mention, the grandeur of Yosemite National Park is an easy 25-mile drive away, and skiing and boarding at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is 54 miles away.

The home itself is bright and welcoming, with plenty of windows letting in natural light and soft carpeting throughout. Grab a seat in the main living area on a variety of plush furniture to read a book or turn on the flatscreen cable TV for a DVD or a show on premium channels.

A fully equipped kitchen joins this room, offering all you need to make your favorite meals, including a dishwasher to save you time on clean-up. Everyone will fit around the dining table by the window for a family dinner and some laughs.

Downstairs is a bonus room with a pool table, a sofabed, stereo, gas stove, and a flatscreen TV. There's room for a board game down here, as well. Step outside to the patio area or upper deck, both of which have tables and furniture for a nice meal, or head down the short pathway to the private dock, where you can lounge in the sun by the water.

Three bedrooms and three full baths make this home suitable for up to eight guests - one bedroom features a queen bed while another room has two twin beds and access to a shared full bath. Upstairs in the loft is a king-size bed with a full private bath. Downstairs, the queen sofabed will sleep two more.

A private washer/dryer allows for any laundry you need freshening, and WiFi is available for your convenience.

This house is perfect for a family or group of friends looking for comfort in the woods. You'll enjoy abundant outdoor activities in Pine Mountain Lake - go horseback riding on scenic trails, rally on the tennis courts, and rent a kayak or paddleboard from the marina to explore the lake, or just fish and swim from your private dock! You'll find a couple of dining options within the community, but you might prefer to just cook in your own rental kitchen.

For anyone inclined towards nature, a visit to Yosemite National Park should be high in your book. A short 25-mile drive will bring you to the edge of the park, and from there you can drive to the valley floor, where you can learn about the natural history of the park at the museum, drive or hike up to Glacier Point for a stunning view, and make the short trip to Tuolumne Grove to be dwarfed by Giant Sequoias. Afterward, you can still make it back in time for dinner! And if you want to try something different, do some gaming at Black Oak Casino, just 27 miles north.

Beautiful lakefront cabin! Enjoyed sitting on the dock behind the cabin doing a little fishing. All the amenities were perfect, had fun with the pool table. Vacasa staff did a great job with maintaining the cabin.

The house has great location, with lot of living space. It is close to Marina (5 minute walk). It has a great deck. We could fish and swim from it.
The driveway is very steep.

Couldn't beat the location. The view and lake were amazing and we spent as much time as we could outdoors. That was a good thing due to the condition inside the home, we would rather not be in there.

The cleaning was subpar, the towels and linens weren't there on arrival (they were dropped off in garbage bags three hours after we arrived), and we also discovered at almost midnight that we were expected to figure out which sheets went to which bed and make them ourselves. A bag full of white sheets and 5 different beds and sizes needing to be made is not what we wanted to be doing after traveling. Had we realized there were no sheets under the comforters and they were all in a garbage bag, we would have done it sooner. Even so, that shouldn't have been our responsibility. There's a reason you pay a fee on vacation to have that done for you. A hotel wouldn't expect you to find your own sheets and towels and make your own beds.

The biggest issue was the spider webs. It's the mountains, the lake, I expect a certain amount of critters. The spiderwebs in the house were excessive and unnerving. I have multiple photos of the spider webs on the furniture, decor, walls, showers, etc. We were very uncomfortable sleeping there. My husband cleaned the ones next to our beds but it was ridiculous the amount in the home. We actually left the evening prior to when we were supposed to because we didn't feel comfortable there at all.

Really, it's too bad. The location is amazing and the house has potential. I can understand older and dated; I just can't deal with unclean and neglected. Very disappointed since we loved the location so much. When we go back to the lake we will definitely have to find a different property.

Also, the location was great since it was close to the beach. Apparently, you're not allowed to park at the beach on the weekends unless you are an actual resident there. Wish that would have been made clear to us. Luckily, my husband was able to drop the kids and I off with our gear and he had to drive back and then return by walking. Would have been nice to have known that ahead of time.
Manager response:
We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the area and the amazing outdoors. Thank you for taking the time to share your review and your concerns. We have let our housekeeping team know about your experience and they will make sure that the home always has sheets and towels ready for our guests in the future. Spiders are common in this area and we apologize that they startled you. The perimeter of the home will be sprayed to keep them at bay going forward. If some do happen to find their way into the home, rest assured that they are daddy long legs and pose no threat. We want to thank you again for staying with Vacasa and hope to see you back soon!
