Eclectic alpine home, with private hot tub and great location!

Hit the slopes with ease and explore a variety of picturesque trails, then soak in your private hot tub when you book your next alpine getaway at this South Lake Tahoe home. With room for everyone and a decor that mingles classic cabin style with fun modern expression, this is the perfect spot for your next mountain escape.

Set in a quiet neighborhood, about two blocks from Heavenly Mountain Resort and a mile-and-a-half from the beaches of Lake Tahoe, the great outdoors will be your playground. In the winter months we recommend using a vehicle with 4x4 to access the property safely.

Crafted wood accents, wood-beamed ceilings, and warm light pouring in from the windows will greet you as you enter this charming three-story home. Put out a few snacks on the dining room table under the antler chandelier and enjoy the warmth from the stone-faced gas fireplace.

Find your favorite cable show or pick out a DVD from the provided library to watch something on the flat screen TV. Connect to the WiFi to find a recipe that everyone will love, then head out onto the private balcony to revel in the crisp mountain air. After a fun-filled day you can sink into the private hot tub after a long day of hiking and relax.

The open-style kitchen boasts major appliances, plenty of counter space, and a dishwasher to make your meal preparation (and clean-up) easy. With plenty of seating at the wooden dining room table, the breakfast bar, and even outside, there will be room for everyone.

In the master bedroom you'll find a king-size bed and en suite bathroom. The second room also features a king-size bed, while the third room has a queen-size bed. The fourth room has two double beds and a set of twin-size bunk beds making it the perfect room for your youngsters.

Grab your gear and head over to the winter destination at Heavenly Mountain Resort. Offering a wide range of downhill runs that cater to every skill level, there will be something for everyone. Let the kiddos get a few pointers on fundamentals in the Ski School while you warm up on Patsy's Run, or maybe jump right into a challenge and tackle the Hogsback expert run.

When the weather is nice and warm, you can rent a mountain bike to hit the same slopes that were once covered in snow. Hike the trails to take a few stunning pictures to show your friends back at home. Cool off with a day spent lakeside or get out on the waves of Lake Tahoe with a SUP or something a little faster like a jet ski!

Book your next alpine adventure at this Lake Tahoe escape and fill your days with excursions, downhill runs, and hikes and afterward soak the nights away in your private hot tub.

The space was great, awesome kitchen for family dinners and a wonderful fireplace to enjoy.

The home was spacious to accommodate a large group and was in a great location, away from the traffic but a short drive to the lake and downtown. Would stay here again.

Great location. Very cool decor in the cabin. Had a great time.

Everything was awesome about this place. Vacasa was very responsive to our questions and even a minor thing we had during the stay. Great place and great company during the crazy new years season.

The cabin in creatively configured and decorated. It’s is warm and bright. We had a couple of minor issues upon arrival but everything was resolved in a reasonable amount of time.

This house was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed for 6 days for some late season skiing and snowboarding. We intentionally chose this location because of it's proximity to the California Lodge at Heavenly. Unfortunately the California side was closed for the season the day we arrived. That was a disappointment but easily fixed by driving to the Gondola each day.

The house was perfect for the 6 of us. Plenty of rooms and the main room and kitchen were large and welcoming. The sole occupant of the downstairs room was a little put out that it was always cold down there. Some of the light switches are in odd locations but everything was in working order and in good condition.

We will definitely rent the Moosehead Lodge again!!

It's a quaint cabin with a really great kitchen. Really great. Long table and a serious set of ovens and stove. It has no baking sheets though so bring that if you want to bake something. We made do with some weird glass baking pans. It also had salt and that was it. They warned us not to expect to find anything like spices, oils, etc, and they were right. There was a lone thing of salt. There was also a ridiculous number of knives. So many knives. The sink was pro quality as well and made clean up a snap. Dishwasher was great as well. This seems to be the most recent upgrade in the cabin and it shows.
Vacasa only gives you two loads of dishwasher soap and 3 loads of washer soap. fyi so come ready.

The shape of the house is odd but that didn't bother us too much. It does eat up some space in the bedrooms but the main room and living room were nice.
I'd suggest they move the TV above the fire place or get a proper mounting unit allow it to swing out for better viewing. And ditch the VHS collection. That was showing it's age.

Fire place is nice and creates a LOT of heat. Really cozy.

The electric is really old. I couldn't plug my laptop in because none of the outlets are grounded. All the outlets are 2 pronged. Not the end of the world but I haven't seen un grounded outlets since the 70's. Also the light switches pretty much throughout the house are confusing and many don't work.

The bathrooms are dated and have old toilets that are very small. Also there are flow resisters installed in the showers so everyone took forever to shower.

The hot tub is great and in the back so it's pretty private. We sat out under the stars and it was beautiful.

There are several cabins in close proximity but not overly obnoxious. The house is built facing away from your nearest neighbor so you are not feeling cramped. The only problem was our nearest neighbor could see directly into the master bathroom. It was an upward angle but it freaked out my wife when she got out of the shower and made eye contact with the people next door

The basement bunk room is cold but there is a space heater down there providing heat. Gotta weird vibe out of that room and a few of us thought it was haunted. I honestly think it's just the cold air when we arrived.

The garage is really small and could fit a car but not much more. Our Rav4 and Honda Pilot would not fit (We didn't try) but we didn't have a problem parking in the driveway but ymmv.
Manager response:
We're very glad the guests appreciated many of the home's features. The owner has replaced some of the electrical outlets with 3-prong outlets and they're reviewing options with installing a swing arm for the living room TV. We confirmed the parking notes have been updated to reflect only one car able to be in the garage. Thank you.

The Staff was very helpful

Everything was great except the water, especially downstairs had rust color to it and a metallic smell- afraid to use it to brush teeth with, not to mention for drinking.
Manager response:
We apologize that the water is off-putting. It is well water coming through some plumbing that will ideally be updated next year. Thank you!

Perfect place and location for our family get away! Quiet neighborhood. Large house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We all enjoyed the open space --had a four and two year old running around without any problems. Only set back was we called to have our hot tub water replaced however no one ever came by to do that. Will truly reccommend this place!
