Cozy riverfront cabin w/ shared hot spring - nature preserve across the river

Treat yourself to the lovely riverside experience offered at this cozy Redstone cabin with two shared tiled hot springs. The setting is so beautiful and unique it inspired Disney to use it for the movie "Tall Tales."

Just across the river from the Filoha Meadows Natural Reserve, this rental is on the Crystal River, two miles from Redstone, and 14 miles from Marble. Driving to this area in the winter may require four-wheel drive or chains. Be sure to stock up on groceries and gas in Carbondale (13 miles away) before heading to the cabin to settle in. This rental is one of four that can be rented together for a larger group.

The Cabins at Filoha Meadows can be rented as an entire property, or as individual cabins including Elephant Mountain Cabin and Mt. Sopris Cabin.

The interior has plenty of natural light and comfortable furnishings. While there's no TV, you'll have WiFi access. But if you find that you want to be completely unplugged during your stay, you'll find more than enough to occupy your time. Lounge on the wood frame furniture in the living room, or head out to the deck and enjoy the sun and your surroundings to the soothing sound of the river.

The picnic-style dining table is a great place to gather with your traveling companions to savor meals and snacks you create on the gas grill or in the kitchenette. Please note that the kitchenette does not have a dishwasher or a stove/oven, but with the full refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, and coffeemaker, you'll be able to enjoy many of your favorite meals during your stay.

With a king-size bed, a double sofabed, and two twins (in the loft) this cabin has a maximum occupancy of six.

Anglers will be in heaven right on the edge of the Crystal River. Drop in your line along the private stretch of shoreline, or get some kayaking in. Soak in one of the two shared tiled hot tubs in your backyard filled by a natural hot spring while you watch the fireflies.

Beautiful Redstone is just as enjoyable in the winter. Quality skiing is nearby with Sunlight Ski Area just 35 miles away where you can enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. About a 40 minute drive from Aspen/Snowmass or Sunlight Ski Resort in Glenwood Springs. Wander the little town of Redstone with quaint shops and a Country Store that is like a Rockwell print. And when you want to enjoy a meal out, treat yourself to what's considered the best BBQ around: Marble's Slow Groov'n BBQ restaurant.

Come to Redstone and witness one of the most stunning areas in the country. Make your reservation today, and start making plans for your memorable getaway.

Everything was great! Beautiful location, beautiful lodging.

Our family loved the hot spring hot tubs, the seclusion, & catching rainbow trout on the private stretch of crystal river.

My friend, my grandma and I stayed in the cabin for just two nights but loved every minute of it. My grandma is partially handicap and can only walk with a walker. She had no issues getting in and out of the cabin and was even able to walk down to the river and the serene animal sanctuary on the other side of the river. She found the cabin to be extremely accessible and the property to be a good challenge for her.

The location and amenities were just what we were seeking - quiet time away to relax while offering entertainment via fishing for our 2 sons. Plus the hospitality was wonderful! We would come again :-)

Mike, the host, was wonderful! He checked on us everyday to make sure we were well taken care of. Would definitely recommend others to stay here.

Wow! This place totally exceeded my expectations. The views are breathtaking and the cabin was quaint and clean. There was no sulfur smell from the water. The property is beautiful and the groundskeepers are so nice. They checked on us and made sure everything was okay. Me and my fiancé wanted to be out in the mountains and we got that for sure. I loved that we were still close to town. We went to Glenwood Springs 2 nights for dinner and it was amazing. We can’t wait to go back!!

I am a paraplegic Wheelchair user and we made it work. Def not 100% accessible but if you can transfer to another chair to use the restroom and have help up and down the three steps in front and the one step into cabin 1 and 2 it is easily doable.
I want to come back in summer and do more exploring around the property which is really neat!
The only flaw is the water is very mineraly and smells of sulfur and not the best to drink so pack plenty of fresh water to drink.

This property is a great place to decompress and reset. Love the sound of the river and having the hot springs right out the door. Couldn’t have asked for a better view of the fall colors...

This home was in a very pretty location. It was clean and comfortable. The water had a sulfur smell and even with the water filter that was in the kitchen we ended up purchasing water to drink. If you want to be on vacation and be totally unplugged this is your place. You probably won't have cell phone service unless you have Verizon. The wifi was very weak but we were able to play with it and get it to work at times. We were hoping to fly fish but the water was running too fast. We ended up driving elsewhere to do most things.

Simple cabin but definitely would not call it "rustic." Very clean and comfortable. Myself and 2 girlfriends stayed there for a weekend to celebrate a birthday. We stayed in cabin 2, which has one large bed and a loft with 2 twin mattresses on the floor. It's a little steep climbing up to the loft but I was quite comfortable up there. If you are looking for total privacy/seclusion, this may not be the place for you, as there are 4 cabins quite close together and they share 2 hot spring pools- but this is stated in the description, so should not be surprising. During our stay, we lucked out and were the only people staying on the property. The hot spring pools are great. The water temperature was perfect and Mike, the groundskeeper, checked in with us to make sure it was comfortable for us. Mike was very friendly and helpful. He was happy to talk to us about local hiking trails, the town of Redstone, and local history and we really enjoyed chatting with him.
I can't say enough about the beauty and tranquility of the setting. We arrived late at night and when we saw the surroundings in the morning light, it literally almost brought us to tears. Being able to walk around the property, along the Crystal River, with views of Mt Sopris and other surrounding mountains, was so relaxing and appealing it caused us to change our hiking plans so that we didn't have to leave the property the whole weekend. We heard coyotes yipping and howling through the night and even heard a mountain lion vocalizing from the hills in the evening. If you are looking for relatively inexpensive, simple, clean, comfortable accommodations in a fairy-tale setting, this is the place for you!
