Great oceanfront getaway w/ amazing ocean view & easy beach access!
As Oregon Coast vacation homes go, this one really stacks up! From garage to great room, this tri-level Lincoln City vacation rental with three bedrooms is the perfect place for you and your group of six to call home while visiting the Lincoln City area.
Located just across the street from Olivia Beach - the city's newest beach access - you'll savor spectacular views of Nelscott Reef, the only place on the Oregon Coast with conditions suitable for big-wave surfing! There are three parking spaces available.
But you won't need a surfboard to enjoy this lovely home. Just three minutes north of downtown Lincoln City, you'll not only be centrally to the city's seven mile stretch of sandy beach - you'll be just minutes away from plenty of restaurants, shopping, galleries, and even classes where you can learn everything from cooking tips to glass-blowing!
After tucking the car away in the garage (one inside, two more out on the driveway, and no parking on the street), grab the luggage and head up the stairs (12 of them) to the first level. Here, you'll find three bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed. Two of them also have access to the lower deck where you can slip out for a breath of fresh ocean air in the morning or before bed. Each bedroom has a TV for late night viewing. There's also a full bathroom with a tub/shower condo, another full bedroom on the lower level, and a washer and dryer.
Climb ten more steps to this home's living area, and you're in a space where you can kick off your shoes, relax and enjoy some of the perks of home like a large flat screen TV w/ satellite, DVD, and WiFi. Savor the view of the Pacific through the big picture windows, or have a seat on the patio and sip a drink as you watch the sea birds hover around the beach across the way.
Part of the big, open living area on the top floor, the kitchen not only comes with all the equipment and utensils your cook will need to whip up a wholesome and delicious meal, he or she will also enjoy the same great view while they're slicing and dicing. There's a microwave for that quick snack or batch of popcorn before a movie, a coffee grinder with a fresh batch of beans, and a dishwasher so you're not wasting time scrubbing at the sink.
If you're going across the street to the beach, be prepared for some stairs. The stairway is masterfully done with places to pause strategically placed along the way. Before you know it, the kids are playing in the soft sand! And that's just a portion of the seven miles of beach the city boasts with 15 accesses (a handicap-accessible access is just down the road at Anchor Street).
Because of its location on 45th Parallel, the wind is such a persistent feature in these parts, it's no accident that it's known as the "Kite Capital of the World." Why not bring your own and watch it dance, buffeted by the ocean winds? Golfers: Tee up at Salishan Resort just nine minutes south of Lincoln City. Anglers: Nine species of freshwater fish call Devil's Lake home.
Or, if you're in a gambling mood, pay Lady Luck a visit at nearby Chinook Winds Casino. If you're traveling with children, you'll find a nice playground tucked away in the Olivia Beach neighborhood just to the east of the home.
No matter what you like to do, no matter when you come, bustling and colorful Lincoln City is waiting for you to see for yourself why it's called "The Miracle Twenty Miles."
Rent this lovely Northern Oregon Coast vacation home when you're in Lincoln City and see what it has to offer on every level!
The house was great. Loved the ocean views and how close it was to the beach. Loved how stocked the kitchen was. Only draw backs were the beds were uncomfortable and could definitely use updating. Other thing that needed done was a good carpet shampooing. All of the adults feet would be black and my nine month olds knees would be gross.
We have a carpet cleaning scheduled for the end of August. Thank you!
Had everything we needed and enough room to fit our family!
I particularly loved the views from the top floor which is the main living space. The kitchen is adequate, but the stove at least is semi ancient. The other appliances are good. The house is nice, but be prepared for the stairs.
We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return soon.
Overall, nice location, and good condition of the house. The furniture is very old/bad, but if the price is right and you like the beach, it's a good place to visit.
The short walk to the beach access stairs is great. There are a lot of stairs, though. Going down to the beach is easy; heading back up can be daunting but there are a lot of areas to stop on your way back up. We watched the whales on our little breaks on the way back up. The house is very nice with plenty of room. We had 5 in our party and it never felt crowded. The living room / kitchen on the top floor is very nice as you can watch the sun set while eating dinner or lounging on the deck. We had a great weekend and were very bummed when it came time to head back home.
- Good amount of space for six people. Three bedrooms with full/queen size beds. Says queen, but they seemed smaller than our queen at home. Still a fine size for two people. Full size futon in the living room.
- Two full bathrooms. One had a skylight, which was nice.
- View of the ocean from the top deck. Saw some whale spouts!
- Close proximity to the beach -- just down a looong flight of stairs.
- Spacious living / dining room area. Great light!
- No extra sheets for the futon, and only one extra pillow case.
- Beds were not comfortable.
- Very low water pressure in both showers.
- Downstairs shower had mold near the ceiling.
- Kitchen supplies were on the old side, meaning we didn't want to cook with them due to safety concerns. We boiled some water in one of the pots, but it tasted like plastic when we drank it, so we threw did not use it.
- Outdoor furniture felt flimsy and not suited for people on the heavier side.
Overall, our stay was great! We had a nice time and relished the top deck each morning. Good price, but there could be improvements to make it an even better place to stay.
The property manager will replace any kitchen supplies that are not in good condition and will follow-up with housekeeping on providing sheets for the futon. The owner is currently staying in the home and will address the maintenance issues. Thanks!
We recently surprised our kids with a family vacation to Lincoln City. We had a wonderful time, and our stay at Anchor Away was amazing. We felt right at home in the roomy comfortable house. The house was clean and well stocked with the basics. When we contacted Vacasa for help they were helpful and courteous. We will definitely book with Vacasa again, and we will be trying to book Anchor Away again in the future.
We loved this place it was both clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The parking and drive way was a little tricky for entering and exiting, but fortunately we had a small SUV which helped. The house being separated on three levels was a challenge sometimes and the stairs kept us in shape and the 111 steps to the beach was fun going down but the 111 steps back up was difficult especially for my wife. (I am 66 and my wife is 70 both of us fortunately are healthy and in good shape for our age). We did discover the handicap access to the beach but it was a long ways walking from the house. I think more complete directions to open and close the garage door would have been helpful too; for example, you could say, the garage door code both opens and closes the door, I discovered this on the last day we were there. Overall our stay was wonderful and we had an awesome time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary here sharing our love for each other by the ocean.
We took a trip with our toddler for a little family bonding before our next baby comes in June, and discovered this home on Vacasa.
You can definitely see ocean views from the home, decks, windows, however, we would have loved to be across the street staring right out at the ocean instead of into other homes. The walk right down to the beach across the street is awesome. Incredibly beautiful beach. Not crowded! Community and people around were extremely friendly...preciously decorated coastal community of homes & park for kiddos across the street (behind house).
The home itself only gets 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 because of the very musty smell upon entry - not a great 1st impression, however, once we opened all the windows and aired out the home it was much better. Furnishings, carpet, etc. are a bit outdated but overall home very functional, cozy, fun. It was neat that the living / kitchen was on the top floor so we could hang out and see the ocean / sunset during dinner. :)
I very please with this property is clean species and comfortable if I have the opportunity to visit again I will rent it again.
This house is older and not as close to the beach as the photos may imply. Located behind the row of houses immediately facing the beach. Fine for casual vacation accommodation, nothing fancy. Lots of stairs, both in the house as well as at public beach access. Even the week in mid-August was cool and chilly at the beach, although much warmer just a few streets in from the beach. We enjoyed local sight-seeing spots including whale watching out of Depoe Bay. The Oregon Coast is beautiful.
This was a nice carefree home with space for all of us. We liked the accommodations and the view.
Nice house that was close to the beach via the stairs. It was perfect for our family of 5.
What a view. Nice kid friendly park just behind property. Comfortable and clean place
Great location, great cardio workout from the stairs (house and beach access), awesome tide pools, and beautiful beach! Thank you!
This property has the potential to be rated "excellent" with a few minor fixes and TLC.
Pro: Great location, good size home and amenities.
Con: Needs improvement in cleanliness, need faster Wi-fi, maintenance of appliances, and improve staff response timeline.
The Property Manager will get a deep cleaning done at this home as soon as the busy summer season allows it. The refrigerator has been replaced, and a speed test will be done with the WiFi to take to the owners for their consideration.
The view from the living room is awesome! The kitchen has almost everything we need to cook our meals. Chatting with friends while enjoy the killer view outside our windows is priceless! To go to the beach, there is a long stair. But that does not both us too much.
The view from the top porch is beautiful. The house is older, but had what we needed and more for cooking there and being entertained. The stairs were fine for us, but if the ones to the beach are too many (112 by our count) you could drive down the road for an easier beach access. The road the house is on is steep and narrow. If you drive a big truck, it would be a bit of a challenge to stay at this property. My little Subaru did fine parking in the garage and driveway. Overall, we had a nice stay at the property, and would recommend it.
My husband and I first visited Oregon in 2014. We loved it but agreed that next time we'd stay longer at the coast. We got married in September of 2015 but wanted to wait until spring to go on our honeymoon in Oregon. We chose Lincoln City, I'm not sure how or why, but the booked Anchor Aweigh because of it's proximity to the beach, and the affordable cost per night. We LOVED it. The house was so comfortable. I loved the layout, how the living room and the kitchen were upstairs and the bedrooms were below. Short walk to the beach, and not a far walk from many things in town. Lincoln City is great, and I can't wait to come back. Thank you!
The property has such wonderful ocean view and you can hear ocean from house. We will return for sure.
The garage door doesn't have an actual opener but you can use the pad outside the garage door to open and close.
Very clean, stocked very well.
Great place for our two little families, with close beach access, and a beautiful sunset view! Thanks for a Great spring break memory!
We really enjoyed our stay here, loving the location so close to the beach, and the view was spectacular. We had two views of the beach, the other homes to the north, so it felt like we were in a penthouse. The top floor with the living room, kitchen and dining area is very bright and airy feeling, a real positive.
Nice home in good quiet neighborhood with view from third level. One row of houses separates this rental from ocean. Comfortable for 2-3 adult couples, or family of six. Well stocked supplies & kitchen . Clean. Garage parking for smaller vehicle. Larger vehicles such as 4-door pickup may need to park in driveway under the decks. Other guests have mentioned--be prepared for stairs in the home & 100 steps to the beach using the public beach access. Convenient pulic beach access just across the street if you don't mind steps. Enjoyed the location just north of Siletz Bay. Siletz Bay was good clam digging. We didn't bring our fishing gear, but observed others catching salmon from the beach at Siletz Bay. Only a few miles drive to Dockside Charter in Depoe Bay for bottom fishing & crabbing. Convenient to many good eateries (fine & casual dining). Enjoyed shopping antique & gift stores in Lincoln City & Depoe Bay. We liked the location on SW Anchor Avenue.
My favorite feature of this property was its location across the street from the beach access. The beach felt private.
The property is very conveniently located across from a path to the beach. The partial ocean view from two of the bedrooms and the living-dining area is nice. However, the path to the beach consists of 113 steep steps! From the street to the living room there are another 29 steps.
WE REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE! IT'S LOCATION NEAR THE BEACH IS IDEAL (UNLESS YOU CAN'T NAVIGATE STAIRS--THERE IS A LONG STAIRWAY DOWN TO THE BEACH WITH OVER 100 STEPS, BUT IT'S A GOOD WORKOUT!). THE TIDE POOLS ON THE BEACH/ROCKY AREAS AT LOW TIDE WERE INCREDIBLE - SOME OF THE BEST WE'VE SEEN ON THE WHOLE COAST! THE HOUSE WAS CLEAN AND WELL FURNISHED WITH EVERYTHING WE NEEDED - HAD WHAT WE NEEDED TO COOK SOME MEALS THERE. IT IS FAIRLY SPACIOUS AND ROOMY AND COULD EASILY ACCOMODATE 3 COUPLES (6 ADULTS) + SEVERAL KIDS COULD SLEEP UPSTAIRS. HAS A GREAT DECK WITH A NICE VIEW. GOOD DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS, WASHER/DRYER IS NICE, CABLE, WI-FI, ETC. PLENTY OF RESTAURANTS/STORES NEARBY. AWESOME PLACE!! WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK TO THIS HOUSE AGAIN! I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS!
Awesome beach house with lots of room for the girls. Fun memories to last a lifetime. The house was very clean and had a nice open living space. The views were amazing.
Not a good choice for ones who cannot do stairs daily. Many stairs.. GREAT FOR YOUNGER BODIES IN GOOD SHAPE. Needless to say, I made a bad choice, as I was in much pain after 2 days. Everything else was gorgeous, lovely bowls, nice cooking ware, comfortable beds, beautiful weather, and the rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Would recommend to all strong backs!!!!
We are so sorry to hear about your pain, and we understand that this home does have a lot of stairs and is therefore not considered 'elderly' accessible. We are delighted to hear that you otherwise enjoyed the home, and we hope to see you again at one of our other rentals. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Loved it. A little pricey for our family of 5 but could easily sleep 8+ with kids upstairs
Our family enjoyed the three bedrooms ( all on same level) and separate living area (top level) that the propery provided. The garage was a bonus and two bathrooms good too. There was not much bathroom counter space but we werent there for the counters. The kitchen was a good size and we used it to make meals.
The stairs to the beach were just down and across the street. It was great access but alot of stairs. Not for someone who cant do stairs but there is beach access down the street for those that cant do stairs. We were all good.
Our family had a great time. Our only complaint that is we didnt stay long enough.
It was a lovely experience. Thank you!!!
Great place to stay. The only down side to the place is the stairs. Very easy to find. Very relaxing place to stay.
We loved it and had a great time. Vacasa people were super helpful and kind. We hope to come again
The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the washer and dryer, the beach access that was right across the street, and having two full bathrooms. We couldn't have beat the price anywhere for what we received. The house felt tucked away, and yet we were well located to go anywhere in Lincoln City in a short amount of time. Loved the views from anywhere in the house. The only note I would make for future renters is, if you have a guest who isn't great with stairs, this place may not be a top choice. Overall, we would definitely stay at this house again!
We had a great time. It rained the entire time (that isn't the owner's fault though) but we loved having a nice and comfortable place to stay during the rain and wind. We would rate this place a 9.5/10 except for the cleaning fee. It was a lot considering how long our stay was (day and a half) and when I consider the cleaning cost I have to rate it 8.5/10. Overall we loved the place and we would consider staying again provided we were staying longer to make the cleaning cost seem more reasonable.
Our booking was short notice because our other house plans fell through. Vacasa was extremely helpful and friendly. You could see the ocean from the top deck. The beds were comfy. A very short walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank You!
WE would not stay here again because of the stairs and grandma's knees but we would recommend it to others. The beds were comfy and the open concept was great with extended family. We had a wonderful Christmas and truly enjoyed the house, especially the views of the ocean.
our vacation feels to short but we enjoy to stay at anchor Av house,
this is good for gathering with family and friends, and we can hear the sound of the beach wave, very quiet community and also we can jogging around the beach and community
Nice house well located. Be prepared for stairs.
great spot for the 3 of us. Beautiful views of the Ocean from the two decks. Very clean property with the basics.
Our group of 7 was very comfortable in this spacious home. With beach access directy across the street and the lovely park nearby with the sand volleyball court, there was something for everyone right out the front door. When we piled in our cars to venture out of the neighborhood, we visited Newport (25min drive) and strolled the historic waterfront and lighthouse. I highly recommend this property to your large group!
Had originally reserved 2 nights at Anchor Away, but added on a 3rd as we were so happy the home/location. The open kitchen/floor plan worked great with our 2 little ones. House was very clean, and the kitchen well stocked with utensils/tupperware etc...things that are handy when you're away from home. Enjoyed our stay very much!
