As we expected, 4 bunks, 2 big beds, 2 TV's, wifi, 2 baths; nothing fancy but everything we needed, clean, comfortable, quiet. Location is superb.

Great Location!

The house is very convenient to the Glaze Meadow recreation center, with a large pool and other facilities, and a nice shop. The extensive walking/biking trails are great; we walked close to 8 miles just within the Ranch! The restaurants at the Lodge are excellent, although a surprising distance from the house. The "General Store" is tiny and rudimentary, except for excellent beer on tap; however, there are markets nearby in Sisters.
Bed quality, linens, and towels were fine.
The kitchen is small but adequate, with all necessary pots, pans, utensils (but no tablespoon or coffee measure). We didn't see any mice, but kept mouse-attracting food in plastic containers after seeing mousetraps and a few droppings under the sink.
Air conditioning would have been welcome on a couple of very hot days; however the nights are cool if you can open the windows (we avoided that because of heavy smoke from nearby forest fires).
The local manager was there in an instant when we detected a small water leak under the sink. He was very friendly and helpful.
Manager response:
We apologize for the mice. Due to the heavy snowfall this winter the wildlife have been thriving this summer. We are doing our best to keep up using mouse bait and traps. Thanks!

Black Butte is so peaceful; one can not come away without a rejuvenated spirit!

Our family of six enjoyed our first time in the snow together. The cabin was cozy and clean, except the oven. We all had a blast snow shoeing sledding swimming snow tubing and riding in the horse drawn wagon plus hours of play at the activity center. It was truly a winter wonderland for us!
