Waterfront home with ocean views, two separate living areas, dog-friendly!
Just a few steps from the sand, this five-bedroom Rockaway Beach vacation rental offers great views of the Pacific from its spacious deck and plenty of room for up to 10 guests. With two separate living areas—each with their own kitchen—you can enjoy that get-together with just as much "getting together" as you want, and as much privacy as you need.
With its good-spirited combination of vibrant pastels and hints of home-spun, the interior of this spacious home is bright, fun, and a little eclectic. There are two living areas, so it's the perfect vacation venue for two families who'd like an independent space at least part of the time. Downstairs, come into a cozy space with lots of rooms to kick back. Slide a CD into the player, put your feet up on the recliner. In the upstairs living area, you'll have the added bonus of a great view, both from inside through the big windows, and out on the deck. You can also enjoy a cable show, or watch a DVD from the library, or one you've brought.
There'll be no competition at mealtime in this lovely home. Each level has its own fully equipped kitchen as well. The upstairs space has a down-home feel, with country-style cabinetry and furniture on beautiful hardwood floors. Nothing quaint about the equipment, though. The modern stove, microwave, and stainless steel double fridge will make mealtime a breeze. The cook on the other level will enjoy the same modern perks. Both have dishwashers as well, so dishes will be done easily and quickly. Or, have your feast outside! Enjoy a barbecue on the gas grill. There's an outdoor firepit as well for gatherings under the stars.
Come bedtime, this lovely home will accommodate up to 10 comfortably, but up to 10 are welcome. Among its five bedrooms, is one with a king bed, three others—each with queens—and one with a double bed. In each, you'll step out of bed onto warm carpeting, and have plenty of drawer space for your clothes. There are two-and-a-half nicely decorated bathrooms. One of the full baths has a walk-in shower, the other is a tub/shower condo. And you won't have to bother with the laundromat; there's a washer and dryer for your convenience.
This Oregon Coast vacation rental is a great place for anglers! Crescent Lake—just across the street—is home to Chinook salmon, channel catfish, brook and rainbow trout. Or, sign on with one of the many charters in the area and try your luck in deeper waters. Rockaway is also close to three county parks—Barview, Twin Rocks, and Bayocean—where you can hike and bike on trails that meander along the shore and up to heights with spectacular views!
Hang out on Rockaway's sandy, seven-mile beach where you can build that castle, collect shells, or send a kite dancing in the ever-present coastal breeze. Or, why not grab your shovel, bucket, and boots and try your hand at clamming, not something you can do just anywhere! And don't leave the dogs at home during your getaway—two dogs are welcome with a nightly fee.
Bring your family and friends to this roomy and charming beachfront vacation rental home nestled on a grassy patch of Rockaway's shoreline. You'll appreciate its location—just a quick drive to sites and downtown—and the convenience of its two living areas. A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Oceanfront, just 20 steps from the beach. Perfect for company of 10 people.
Lesley G.Oct 2019
Our family of 4 adults and 4 kids really enjoyed our time here! Beds were comfortable, kitchens were well appointed, and the location is simply the best.
Being able to walk right out to the beach every morning and evening was perfect. The house is casual and low-maintenance, just like us. Plus, two floors gave two families their space while having plenty of room to all be together and eat our crab haul for the day!
Valerie S.Aug 2019
We loved our stay at Chris’s Getaway because the views were incredible! It was so soothing to hear the ocean and be able to take it in from the main living area. Beach access was super easy as well.
My only disappointment was, for the price, I would expect clean carpets, a coffee maker with a carafe that fit and better cooking tools in the kitchen. Overall, some basic maintenance was needed.
The views, however, didn’t disappoint!
Rosemary R.Aug 2019
Only two burners on the stove functioned. Problems with electric circuits. We would have completed the dishwashing machine, but not enough soap, same for laundry. Appreciated the fire pit and the metal forks for s'mores.
Hi, Rosemary! Thank you for your review. The left side burners do take longer to heat up, but they do work, and we have scheduled to have the outlets replaced when we have a break between reservations. We hope to see you again!
MARIETTA K.Jul 2019
Liked having two kitchens when preparing food for our group. The view from balcony is awesome. Beach access so easy. The house is fully stocked ... lots of plates, cups, pots n pans, stacks of towels, great game selection, sand toys, plenty of bedding. We loved our time here.
Marilyn M.Jun 2019
The view, two stories ( gave people privacy), plenty of bedding, out door chairs, fire ring, beach access, dog friendly. Plenty of parking.
Andrew T.Mar 2019
It doesn't get any closer to the beach than this! We went in the offseason in March but lucked out with great, sunny weather. I only saw a handful of other people on the beach the entire time so it felt like we had it all to ourselves.
The house had everything you would expect and check-in and check-out were easy. The wifi password given didn't match but was easily found on the modem downstairs. Besides, we were there to disconnect anyway and spent most of our time on the great deck.
Kathy P.Feb 2019
It was roomy. Especially love the upstairs downstairs setup. My son and his family had a chance to relax with the 5 yrs old and have calming time for the boy before bedtime. Beautiful view, beautiful house! Cant wait to go again.
Nam P.Nov 2018
House was great. Perfect for a family gathering with the two living areas. Kids had there own space to play. Right on the beach. I would suggest providing sharper knives for guest. Made it a little hard to cook dinner but overall worth the rental. Very clean and tidy. Will definitely rent again.
Tyler P.Apr 2018
We had a great time getting up and spending all day at the beach. We were able to watch the kids play from the balcony and even got to see whales and dolphins. Can’t wait to come back!!
Sherry R.Feb 2018
It was just what I was looking for. We had a great time

Beautiful view, good access to the beach, quiet beach with not too many people. The house has some problems: 1. carpet was very dirty. 2. The downstairs range would not heat, the burners and oven, even though the indicators would light up. 3. No place to unpack your clothes (we were there 5 days). The drawers were all full of linens. 3. No directions about how to operate things (i.e. dvd player, master shower (?). 4. A few other issues such as a plugged master toilet, very few clothes hangers, very slow draining tub, downstairs shower (I could operate that shower head) floods the bathroom floor.
We appreciate receiving this feedback to work with. Allstar Appliance has taken care of the stove, the carpet has been professionally cleaned, we have added coat hangers, we have labeled specific shelves for the linens, we have printed out instructions for the TV, and the removable shower head does not flood the floor when used correctly. Thank you!

Terrific location. Run down house with terribly stained carpet. Bring your cleaning supplies, house was covered in pet hair

Perfect location!!! But needs above comments addressed
Patricia M.Jul 2017
This property is at the quiet end of Rockaway Beach. That was very nice. The view is fabulous. 2 1/2 baths is good but the downstairs shower leaks onto the bathroom floor. Upstairs kitchen quite well equipped with a lovely table that seats 10, though it's in need of a couple more chairs. The downstairs kitchen not really a full kitchen. The inside stairs are very steep and without a rail. Difficult for older folks. Most beds are VERY soft. Good washing machine and dryer. Lovely outside fire pit. Functioning BBQ. It would be better if the downstairs tv worked. It would be nice if Vacasa spent more time cleaning it. It is large and requires the time.
Housekeeping will be further trained for exceptional cleaning. We apologize if it did not meet this guest's standards at this time.
Juanamaria R.Jul 2017
We expend 2 nights with other 4 families in this property and all the people in our group were happy with the location, and very convenient to have 2 refrigerators, the only problem was need another full bathroom!
We enjoy all lot!
Lindsay S.Jun 2017
We loved the location of this home. It's quiet and perfect for families with children. We loved being so so close to the beach. We loved having the beach to ourselves. Because of all of that, we would return. But, we would ONLY return if some updating and remodeling was done to the home. Also, a better cleaning job after a tenant with animals. It was hard to relax on the floor seeing so much dog hair!
Overall tho, we are happy with our stay. Thank you
We apologize if there was dog hair on the floor. We will ask housekeeping to be more thorough. Thanks!
Ian David C.May 2017
This place worked out great for us. We had 5 couples stay hear and we're all very comfortable and extremely happy with the proximity to the beach. The view from the upper kitchen and living room is phenomenal and the beach is a 30 second walk down a private path. The kitchen was well supplied in equipment, though not in food basics (this was expected though so not an issue). Anything wood or metal on the house has been weathered to some degree from all of the salt spray, but that's pretty much unavoidable on any home this close to the ocean. One funny thing was how low the shower head was on the downstairs shower, it basically shoots right into your chest... But really I can't complain, it was affordable, comfortable, clean an proximate to the beach. Price considered, this place is a no-brainer.

We stayed the last four days at this property. It is an amazing location right on the beach. We had two families with small children so the layout of the house worked for us, but it may not be a good choice for a large group of people that want to be together all the time or eat all meals together as the layout is a bit disjointed. The property could use some basic maintenance. The dishwasher was not draining so we could not use (manager said it had been replaced five days prior so perhaps was an issue with installation). Only one burner on each stove (upstairs and down) were working so it made cooking very challenging and frustrating. The door to the stairs inside is broken so we could not close it. Had to use a baby gate with a chair to keep the baby from the stairs. The management did respond timely to my concern about dishwasher, which could not be repaired during our stay due to weekend. I wasn't thrilled about doing dishes by hand for our group, but certainly worse things could be. All in all we enjoyed our stay here. Rockaway Beach is a cute, quiet, small community.
The dishwasher was installed incorrectly and has since been fixed. The door to the stairs had the tracks removed and will not function - this is why the baby gate is provided. The Property Manager inspected the stove burners and found all of them to be working. The Property Manager has also recently added new board games, new drinking glasses, new measuring cups and spoons, new cutting boards, new baking pans and sheets, new silverware, and new blankets and pillows to the home. Thank you!
Tanya F.Apr 2017
The manager came over to walk through the house, which was good so she could see all of the issues we had. She had a grill delivered to the house. The owner dropped off smoke alarms. The location of the property was amazing. The size of the house was perfect for our family. If all of the issues are addressed we would gladly stay again.
Carl T.Jan 2017
Plenty of room and you can't get closer to the beach.
Janet F.Oct 2016
The house is right on the beach. It's am awesome location. Very private and a gorgeous view!
Robert R.Sep 2016
We loved everything about this property ! My wife and two daughters and our dog could not have chosen a better vacation spot. We could walk off the patio and within steps be on the beach and the dog in the water. Very comfortable inside with room for at least 6 more people. Great view and quite private . Great location to visit Tillamook to the south or Seaside and Cannon Beach to the north. We will definitely come back to this property !!
Laura B.Aug 2016
Great location-- right on a quiet section of beach.
easy process to check in/out.
Beverly R.Aug 2016
It is perfect for a large family or gathering since there is lots of space so people can have privacy or come together.
Anne M.Aug 2016
The view is differently the high point. The house felt smaller and older then the pictures would make you think. Especial for the price. The bathroom downstairs is strange and floods the floor when you use the shower, the only other shower is in the master bedroom so makes it a little hard with a large group.
Nichelle H.Jul 2016
With two kitchens, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it's a great place for large families or multiple families to have a great time. Great views of the beach and Ocean from the upstairs kitchen, living room and upper deck. The house is just a few steps away from the beach. It's a one mile drive/or walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. It's a great little town and easy drives to nearby attractions (light house, train rides,Tillamook cheese factory, fishing, other beaches).
Janet K.Jun 2016
I enjoyed the property, the view is great and enjoyed being right on the beach. We had a great time even with the cold and rain.
Kathleen J.Jun 2016
We stayed here with our 3 adult kids, their SOs, my two grandkids and my mom. It was great! Just enough togetherness and separateness for everyone to be really comfortable. :)
Very neat and clean.
Robin R.Jun 2016
We loved our stay here! We will rent this same house again in the future.
Cindy L.May 2016
The property location and the view was incredible. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen complete with anything needed to prepare and serve large meals.
Molly D.Mar 2016
What a view! Loved the view from the upstairs picture window. Location was great!! Great beach access! Close to Kellys Marina for boat rentals, fresh crab and oysters- you can even have them cook the seafood your catch right there on site and eat around a fire pit! The house was also close to Manzanita for a fun day trip and the Sand dollar restaurant in Rockaway was a delicious surprise! All in all great location and house!
Rebecca L.Dec 2015
Great view of the ocean and easy beach access. We were a family group of 8, ages 15 months - 63 yrs, staying for a week. We had a very nice time and had adequate space to survive living together when the weather was too rainy for beach action. We missed a coffee grinder, but otherwise found everything we needed in the well supplied kitchen.
Kathryn H.Aug 2015
We truly enjoyed a relaxing week at the Oregon Coast in the beautiful house and can't wait to come back again next year. The accommodations were perfect for the extending family. Those with kids stayed downstairs and the remaining adults stayed upstairs. Having 2 kitchens was very convenient as well. We just loved it!
Shekhar O.Jul 2015
We had a family reunion over one weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this property.
PROS: Excellent location, furnishing and maintenance of the property, which is a quite old house. Beach view from the top deck is gorgeous. Direct access to the beach within a few yards. 5 bedrooms with all linen. Well appointed kitchen and utensils stock. Can view the Twin Rocks from the upper deck on a clear day. We rarely watched TV except for news once; but there are TVs on both floors, if one was interested. Decent parking space. Fire pit on the property. Easy reservation process. We were allowed a complimentary check in earlier in the day and a very frugal extension on the day of check out to allow us leave later than the check out time. We could not find a fault with the cleanliness. Overall, very thoughtfully maintained property.
CONS: Old house. Sleeps truly only 9 adults comfortably although 12 are claimed - at least one bed counted as a Queen bed on the property description is smaller than a Queen bed and could not accommodate two adults. The sofa claimed to double as a bed, was in reality a sofa and not a sofa-cum-bed or a convertible. The downstairs bathroom had only a toilet use for us as quickly floods due to a) no tub for showering and shallow partition from the toilet space, b) funky shower system that causes both overhead and handheld shower to run simultaneously, and the handheld shower also spouts on the back of the sprinkler making it difficult to control all three, therefore making it very difficult to use without flooding the bathroom.
Compared to some other properties we have stayed in (in a group of 8), the relative cost per day in summer is higher for this old property.
OVERALL: For us the pros far outweighed the cons and we were very pleased with our stay.
Christine E.Jun 2015
Rockaway is the perfect spot to get away. The surf, dune grasses, and birds along with the sunset are the main event of each day. We rode our bikes and walked the beach to Twin Rocks. If you want to explore, Manzanita is just a bit north. Tillamook is south with cute towns in between both directions. We enjoyed a spa day in Manzanita and ice cream, cheeses and sauces in Tillamook. But Rockaway is still my favorite sleepy little town. My name is Chris, and this was a great Hideaway !
Jenny A.Apr 2015
Spent five days in this splendid house, walked the beach, sat by a sandy fire while the sun set and saw whales spout and breach off the deck. Could not have asked or planned a more perfect spot. Never turned the tv on, cooked in the kitchen and enjoyed our time together! We will use this house again and will be encouraging others to use it if they want a great place to stay!
Michelle G.Nov 2014
The view from this house is amazing!!! The house is older but so worth it because of the amount of room and the location.
Cecil D.Oct 2014
we had a wonderful time. There was a beautiful view of the ocean. Easy access. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated and the beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen upstairs was well stocked, downstairs not so much. Very peaceful and the neighbors were very friendly. We would definitely stay again. I personally will be glad when you are able to fix the breaker situation. I had to be the one to reset it. Thank you so much for the hospitality. Great location, great view, great time. Good weather for October!! mostly sunny all week.
Rebecca G.Sep 2014
It was a wonderful beach trip for the family. Everyone remarked on how great the beds all were. Getting up every morning & looking directly at the ocean was wonderful. We are already looking forward to our next summer there!
Steve S.Jun 2014
The view from the upper deck is fabulous, neighboring properties you don't even notice, and the upper living kitchen/living area is a pleasant place to hang out. Direct beach access from the property is virtually steps from the front porch.
John M.May 2014
Our family really enjoyed this great getaway right on the beach. The property was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our week at the beach. Comfortably held our family of 7 adults and 4 kids age 1 -4.
Older property but well maintained. Great location with good privacy. Really enjoyed being right on the beach and a little out of town. The beach at Rockaway is fantastic. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away with the family, this is it.
Rachael M.Jan 2014
We went with 6 adults and we were very excited to all get our own rooms. Love the split level and how close you are to the beach not to mention the view. We had such a wonderful time thank you so much!
Travis F.Nov 2013
Right on the beach. Clean house with 5 bedrooms split between 2 apartments within same house. We only hung-out in the upper part of the house for our weekend get-away with 5 adults, but it would be perfect for extended/larger families to enjoy themselves at the coast. I would definitely stay again. Not a lot to see/do in Rockaway, but the beach there is very nice and other towns are a short drive away.
Kelly D.Aug 2013
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing and we took full advantage of being just a few steps away from the beach! I would recommend this property.
Alicia Kay E.Jun 2013
Although we ran into a couple of minor inconveniences (slow draining tub and similar) it did not diminish a wonderful stay at the beach. The house was big enough to give everyone (5 teenage boys, four adults and a 6 year old) their space and cozy enough to feel like we were all staying together. The beach is wonderful and we hope to return in the future.
We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to remedy the matter.
Rita S.May 2013
This is a very nice place as long as you are able to get up the stairs to the top floor, as the stairway has no railing to hold on to. The downstairs is nice, but you cannot see the ocean. However the upstairs has a beautiful view and a bigger kitchen. It is a very clean place and the staff of vacasarentals are very nice people to deal with.
Thomas F.May 2013
What a great location and space!
We had 11 adults and two dogs. There was plenty of room for all. Kitchens (Yes 2 Kitchens) were both well stocked, clean and spaceous. We did not eat out so this was a big plus for us. Only a short walk (100ft or so) to the beach. Spent a lot of time in the water with our Newfoundland. The firepit, partially shaded by trees (providing covering from the oregon beach mist and light rain) was great for roasting weenies and smores. Plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out or get away from everyone else if they wanted a little quiet time. One guest REALLY liked the downstairs shower with the fixed and handheld shower heads. BBQ grill was clean and ready to use. (2 propane tanks were provided) Excellent value for the $$! Felt very comfortable like a home away from home!
Amber U.Mar 2013
I took my family ages 1,3, and 16 to this house and we had a blast! You cod easily house two families and the price was super reasonable we loved this place!!
Chandra H.Mar 2013
We enjoyed our family get away at this great home for our dad's 60th birthday. The two levels are very accomodating for multiple couples or families. Close to town and several crabbing spots. Home is very well stocked, everything from kitchen necessities to pokers for roasting marshmellows! Walk to the beach is right off the deck, view at sunrise and sunset is UNbeatable. We will be back!
