The Pelican Pad 8670 S Hollyhock Street, Rockaway Beach, OR 97136

Take a trip to Rockaway Beach for some peace and quiet at this lovely house. Offering dog-friendly accommodations, entertainment, and nearby beach access, up to six guests will enjoy a retreat here!

Sitting in a quiet location on a dead-end street toward the southeast end of town, there are a number of beautiful places nearby, such as Spring Lake, Heitmiller Creek, and Painted Rock. Beach access is about half a mile away across the highway, where you can look out at stunning Twin Rocks.

The house itself is warm and cozy with fun beach decor and upscale furnishings. A great room features a living, dining, and kitchen area. Grab a seat on one of the couches or the armchair and ease into carefree vacation mode. This is a nice space for conversation over tea and coffee or delving into a good novel.

On rainy days, you might turn on the large flatscreen TV to watch a show on cable or stream a movie over WiFi. A dining table will fit four for a game of cards or a meal, and a few stools are available at the breakfast bar for a quick snack.

A small yet well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook delicious meals, while extras like a blender, coffeemaker, and dishwasher ensure you waste as little time as possible so you can enjoy the best parts of vacation with friends and loved ones.

Out back is a fenced yard for your dogs to run around and play if you choose to bring them along for the fun (please note a small, nightly pet fee). The patio area also has a table and comfortable furniture to enjoy when the weather cooperates.

Upstairs, three bedrooms each feature a queen bed and dual bedside lamps for cozy arrangements for up to six guests. One of the rooms has a large desk for any work that needs to be done. There are two full bathrooms in the house, as well as a private washer/dryer for any laundry you may have.

This house is perfect for a group of friends, family, or a couples' retreat. Spend your days exploring the surrounding scenery, walking along the creek and through Twin Rocks County Park. Awesome photo opportunities await on the beach with Twin Rocks at the background, especially when timed with the sunset!

A pleasant stroll or a quick drive north will bring you to downtown Rockaway, where you'll find a number of coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants. You might eat at Lakeside Hideaway or Sand Dollar Restaurant & Lounge to soak up a gorgeous view with your meal, or purchase something tasty at Old Oregon SmokeHouse to take back to your kitchen and cook.

Property was clean and quiet, although a little out of the way. There is no view, if you're looking for that but a nice place to just hang out.

I am always a little hesitant when using a property management company because they tend to have a bunch of hidden fees and sometimes the property isn't really what you expect. Vacasa is great and I plan to continue using them for all of my vacationing needs in the future. The pricing is exactly as you expect. The options and availability are exactly as expected and the whole experience couldn't have been easier and nicer. I look forward to my next stay in a Vacasa vacation home.

I rented this house for my family to stay while we had thanksgiving at my house a few miles away(my house is too small for extra people). Here's the feedback I got from my family: Stay was great. Place was clean. Lots of room for a smaller place and there's a garage (which is nice when it's POURING rain).
There were dog dishes in the house so they definitely welcome pets and it being in a dead end would make it perfect for kids. My family really enjoyed it and would stay there again.
