Back inside, you’ll find a modern kitchen with a new refrigerator and microwave, countertop space, and varied cookware to assist you in quick and easy meal prep. Head onto the deck for al fresco dining with lush woodland views and the sounds of nature swirling all around you. You’ll even find a gas grill on the deck - perfect for warm weather barbecues.

This was an extremely nice cabin. This was mine and my husband’s first time staying in a cabin and it exceeded our expectations. The hot tub was a plus!
Adorable cabin tucked away in the mountains. It was perfect for our weekend away. The full kitchen, fireplace and hot tub made made our stay so enjoyable. The cabin is well maintained and clean. It’s a short drive to several state parks, shopping and restaurants.
Had a very nice stay this weekend. My only complaint is the lack of basic kitchen utensils, such as measuring spoons and cutting board. Otherwise it was a great little cabin!
We will definitely be coming back.
We enjoyed the pool table , the jacuzzi, the hot tub and the cabin as a whole. Very private and it had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful.
We had a very rainy stay but we enjoyed the cabin. Pool table and hot tub.
We loved it and plan on returning
I loved how spacious it felt. The attention to detail, there is a waterfall inside, The hot tub was nice, & loved the screened in patio.
For a couple needing some quiet seclusion, this is the place. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, the pool table and the kitchen. The bed was roomy and comfy. Suggestion: Rocking chairs or a double glider would be great on the lovely screened in back porch.
This was our first (ever) cabin rental experience, and it was perfect! Everything was exceptionally clean and just as we expected when we arrived. Check in and check out were super easy. We arrived after dark and so it was a little tricky finding our cabin in the dark. We had read previous reviews, so we brought a power strip for extra outlets and our own sheets, in case there was a cleanliness issue (there wasn't). The bed was comfortable, though it's not your own bed. The lighting in the kitchen is too dim, but not the end of the world. We enjoyed some area attractions, but we honestly just found ourselves wanting to go back to the cabin and enjoy our time there. We were very happy with our experience, and will definitely be back!
Quiet area and easy access
The cabin was really cute and romantic. It’s a good place for couples. If we hadn’t hadn’t issues with the cleanliness I would have given it 5 stars.
The cabin was quaint, the linens clean and the bed comfortable. The screened porch was also a benefit. However the indoor jacuzzi had some broken jets; the outdoor jacuzzi was clean but very heavy Clorox /chlorine smell and older Noel with weak jets. The rugs and curtains have seen better days. The curtains are actually not needed as the cleaner blinds are more than sufficient. The kitchen pots and pans could also be updated yet they are sufficient I suppose. The kitchen needs a light over the counters as seeing food prep even in the day is difficult. The indoor waterfall is quite fun, and the pool table made a rainy day more fun. The grill was unusable yet the local management did replace it for us, and we appreciated that. Overall the place was very nice. A few very small updates would enhance greatly. We did enjoy the experience and I would tell friends about the place.
We appreciate receiving this input. This owner is very motivated to keep her cabin in good condition for guests, so we will relay the suggestions to her. Maintenance will check and replace any broken jets on the jacuzzi. Thank you!
My hubby and I really enjoyed our stay at the Shasta cabin it was peaceful and relaxing highly recommend this cabin for couples!!!!
Nice cabin for a getaway with a loved one, highly recommend :)
The Cabin had everything. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was great.
The Shasta Cabin was a great cabin and offered a fantastic getaway for an anniversary trip for my wife and I.
Had an absolute blast this past weekend! Cabin was spotless and had everything we needed as far as cooking went. The hot tub was the main attraction and did not disappoint. While we didn’t use the pool table, it always gives a fun thing to do if the weather keeps you indoors. The only thing is the lighting in the kitchen area! It was kind of difficult to see on the stove, but that’s just nit picking stuff. Overall had an awesome trip and can’t wait to come back!
Nice location near Anna Ruby Falls and Helen. Loved the hot tub. Hoping to come back soon.
Everything was great.. The only issue was needing more light in the kitchen an maybe the poarch. Its a great place
Located about 10 minutes from the main part of Helen, this cabin serves as an amazing getaway for a couple! It’s very cozy and has all the amenities you would need and more! From a private hot tub, a pool table and even a water feature near the king sized bed, this place is a great retreat and so relaxing! Want to spend the day in? There is a gas grill and all you need if you prefer to cook on the indoor range. We found the place to be very clean and well kept! I would definitely stay here again!
I DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE. wish my stay was longer. Loved the hot tub in the evening. Alsothe bed was very very comfortable and i slept like a baby next to the waterfall next to my bed. This was my get away from everything. I will definately be returning.
We spent 2 nights at the Shasta Cabin and found the whole experience comfortable, straightforward, and enjoyable. The cabin is clean, immaculate actually. They provided everything we expected: dishware, silverware, pots & pans, utensils, paper towels & dishwasher packs, a lighter for the grill, plenty of nice towels, TV with decent cable, good WiFi, and little bottles of shampoo and soaps.
The hot tub on the back patio relaxed us after our hikes. We never used the indoor heart tub and only played pool once, as it was too lovely outside to spend our time indoors. The placement of the pool table is unfortunate, as it crowds the small living area, but the pool table is a nice amenity for use in bad weather. I also loved the indoor waterfall by the bed. It was soothing.
The cabin is tucked in the woods just enough that we felt secluded and private. Only a couple miles from Helen, Fred's Famous Peanuts, tubing the hooch, and Unicoi. Hiawassee and Brasstown Bald were less than an hour away.
Great location. Great experience. Nothing was broken. Everything worked. Directions were good. Check in/out were easy. We would definitely return and recommend this cabin for a fun, romantic get-away.
We loved Shasta Cabin. It had everything that We needed. We hope to return soon.
I truly enjoyed my self, we always do me and my boyfriend it's so relaxing there nothing else LIKE the hot tub and heart Shape Jacuzzi by bed it's Awesome.
Overall, the Shasta Cabin was nice but I started my stay very disappointed. The emails stated we would be able to check in at 4pm. We arrived to our cabin at 4:05 and the cleaning lady was still there. She stated the previous guests had a dog and she was just then draining the hot tub. While I am very grateful she wanted the cabin to be clean, I was extremely disappointed with how long it took to be cleaned. She told us to come back within 30-45 mins top and she’d be gone. We drove around for another hour and came back at 5:15. She was still there. Finally at 5:30 she rushed out. The floors were all soaking wet and the hot tub was only at 75 degrees!! I realize it takes several hours to heat the water in hot tub, but I paid extra money for a cabin with a hot tub and was disappointed that I wasn’t able to enjoy it the first day I paid for it. I also tried emailing Vacasa during stay and never got a reply.
We are very sorry this guest was disappointed with their check-in, and we greatly appreciate their patience. It does take longer after some guests to get a home prepared, and we know this can put a damper on the next reservation. We will follow-up with our housekeeper to see if anything could have been done differently in case she finds herself in a similar situation in the future. Thank you!
Cabin was clean, well maintained, and an excellent place to stay. Far enough out to be quite and cozy with only a short drive to town.
This cabin was a beautiful getaway! It was surrounded by tons of activities and beautiful scenery!
A nice get away for a couple.
Even though the weather was not great, we still enjoyed our time at the cabin. We played pool. The heaters were needed and did the job.
Our stay at Shasta was completely ideal. Everything was clean, nicely furnished and just the perfect size for a sweet romantic getaway. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved this cabin. It was only a couple miles to Unicoi State Park and Anna ruby falls which is a must-see ! The town of Helen is less than 6 miles which is great. The fireplace and hot tub was just wonderful and really made it a vacation! Everything was clean and all the linens and towels smelled fresh. We truly enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was perfect for two people and the location was fantastic !
We had a great stay in the Shasta cabin very quiet and peaceful!
My husband and I stayed here with our dog for a long weekend over Thanksgiving and it was amazing! The cabin was perfect for us. I definitely wouldn't suggest it for any larger of a group as it is essentially a one-room studio. The woodwork inside was beautiful and it was very clean. The kitchen has all of the basic essentials needed, however I would suggest bringing your own special needs as it definitely doesn't have everything. The hot tub in the screened-in porch was amazing and we used it everyday. We loved the fireplace and had a fire going constantly. Word to the wise - bring an axe with you if possible to make firewood gathering easier. The cabin itself is situated in the woods and is surrounded by other cabins. At times, they seemed too close together as you could hear other families nearby. Overall the experience was the most relaxing and refreshing trip we have had in a long time. Amazing hiking trails nearby, smalltown shops and restaurants, and even some wineries. Love it!
Was an amazing place. We enjoyed every moment
There was several strands of hair in our bed! One long blond strand and three long brunette strains that we found, yuck, yuck, and more yuck!!! I was completely gross out!!! My husband thought maybe it just fell out of the staffs' members heads or something. 🤔 I found one small brown line type stain, too. Hubby didn't notice it at first though, but I did!! I looked very carefully after finding the hair strains!!! The bed linen wasn't fresh looking at all, with the normal folded lines in them the way it should have been. We prayed no one had slept on them previously (gross😡), so we slept on towels placed in the bed, because didn't think the that linen had been changed!! We stayed only two nights and we left early each morning and came back late each night, so we totally forgot to let the owner or property management know about this matter (after saying we would!) THERE NEED TO BE SOME TYPE OF WAY FOR THE OWNER TO KNOW THAT THE STAFF IS CHANGING THE BED LINEN FOR NEW GUEST EACH TIME!!😷😡. I strongly suggest leaving fresh change of linen at the property to avoid this because you really don't know if the staff is changing out the bed linen after each guess!😷😡 Next time I will bring my own to be double sure. THE PROPERTY IS LOVELY!!! Thanks for blowing away the leaves on the roadway, because the road was hard to see especially during the night time! We will stay again (with our own linen next time🙃)!
Please be assured that the linen is changed after each stay. We have our own laundry location, and all linen is washed, dried and folded by our linen specialist. It is not ironed and is folded in a special way to take up less space so it will not have fold lines. We are sorry that the guests found hair in the bed.
My wife and I stayed in that exact cabin 20 years ago. It was in the same shape now as it was then.
Very clean and quiet. Just what we were looking for. Easy access.
Shasta cabin was very nice. It was in the woods but not completely private. There are several other cabins nearby. I would stay there again if that's all that was available.
I was very pleased with the cabin, the privacy, and keeping me informed via email of the proceedings. A few updates, with fixtures and maybe an updated bed cover would go miles for the over all vision of this experience. This is a beautiful cabin, with a beautiful location. The hot tub really topped it off for the relaxation. Thank you. Will definitely be a future visit.
We enjoyed our stay at the Shasta Cabin in Sautee Nacoochee. It was in an ideal location and lived up to our expectations.
Trees all around, quiet cabin with about a 15 minute drive to Helen when you need food or other things. I'd stay here again and will recommend the area to friends.
Amazing place loved it,be back soon

Overall it was great. Very relaxing and tranquil which was what I wanted. I work 3 jobs and needed this badly. One thing that was not good was gathering linens and garbage. I thought this was housekeeping job that the 80.00 fee should take care of. There was so much dust bunnies under the bed it didn't look like it had been clean. Hope this helps. But it was a great getaway to unplug from everything.
We will follow-up with housekeeping regarding cleaning under the bed. Thanks!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We had all the necessaties to cook a good meal. We enjoyed the grill, hot tub, and the nice screened in porch. We we're just on the outskirts enough to feel secluded but close enough to enjoy all the nearby attractions and amenities. I hope that we can come back in the near future.
My wife and I spent a week here in June. We love the Georgia Mountains and the nearby town of Helen.
The staff was very friendly and attentive when we needed towels and such as our cabin had no washer or dryer since its a honeymooner.
The cabin is beautiful. We loved the natural wood and vaulted ceiling. The deck was a nice addition, and we found the hot tub to be very relaxing.
So here were our complaints:
We needed a dresser or chest of drawers. Instead we got a non-functional waterfall. The pool table is nice, but it took up the space that could have been a kitchen/dining room table.
We did find a couple of cockroaches. Found them scurrying around in the heart tub. I know it's in the woods and I can understand spiders, beetles, etc. but I'm sorry, you have to get rid of the roaches.
A couple of the burners on the stove were broken. Also the light underneath the microwave was burned out and it was too greasy and gross for me to even think about changing it.
Speaking of light, the ceiling fan in the kitchen had very dim bulbs. We literally had to use flashlights at the sink/stove area. We went out the next day and got some higher wattage bulbs (you're welcome).
Underneath the bed was a nightmare. We had to reach under there to get access to the power cords and it was just awful. No telling what kind of critters live underneath the bed.
Lastly, we did have some privacy concerns - the nearby cabins are in plain view, and the deck doors do not have blinds on them.
Despite these concerns we did have a great time and we mostly enjoyed our stay. We would consider staying here again.
We are sorry to see there were some complaints from this stay. The cabin is regularly treated by a licensed pest control company, but those bugs do still sneak in sometimes. We wish the guest had notified us of the other issues during their stay so we could have assisted them with any maintenance or cleanliness items during their visit.
Beautiful little cabin! Would definitely stay again.
The cabin was perfect for the two of us. It was clean when we arrived. There are other cabins nearby but it is still somewhat private. We had some trouble with the hot tub not heating but were able to fix it after a few phone calls. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
My wife is in a wheel chair. This cabin was moderately accessible. Flat threshold into doorway. She was in a power chair and could get around cabin and next to bed without issue. The bathroom was cramped, but she was able to get into it in her chair and use the bathroom. No type of roll in shower to use, but everything else worked fine. For a short trip this would adequately work for a wheel chair user, but I would not recommend it for a longer vacation. The linens really need an update. We used the cabin from Friday-Sunday and enjoyed our stay.
I couldn't sleep comfortably due to raccoons and a weird feeling of being watched. Felt like a haunted house.
We are disappointed to see this guest was not more comfortable in this home. The cabin is located in the mountains of north Georgia so it is surrounded by wildlife that make their homes there.
Great location! Would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was adorable and very pleasant. Pack light because there is little to no space to store anything. The bedding was far past needing to be replaced. Pack a set of your own sheets just to be safe. The surrounding area is wonderful and beautiful.
The cabin had good potential but didn't live up to what was present on the site. We may try a different cabin hoping it's not common standards the way it was presented to us. Hoping for the best but still doubtful.
We are very sorry to see that this guest felt disappointed with their accommodations and hope they still had a lovely trip!
