Bright, modern studio w/ ocean view, short drive to the beach!

This newly updated Pacific City vacation rental offers gorgeous ocean views, updated furnishings, and a wonderful place to spend a romantic weekend! This charming 560 sqft. studio is complete with a kitchenette, full bath, and a lovely deck - you'll be close to the sandy beach, state parks, and the excellent Pelican Pub & Brewery.

Located on the ground level of a larger house, this cozy space may be compact, but it feels quite open and roomy. If you're traveling with a larger group, please ask about renting the rest of the house, Sea 4 Miles.

With hardwood floors and cheery yellow walls, you'll feel right at home here whether you spend time snuggling on the love seat or curled up on the cushions with a good book. From the windows (and out on the deck), you'll have gorgeous ocean views - who needs a TV with that scene? Although, if you do need a little electronic entertainment, there is WiFi.

The basic kitchenette has a full sized refrigerator, plenty of counter space, a sink, microwave, toaster, and a coffeemaker. You can sip your coffee at the bistro table while you watch the waves roll in. Ideal for simple meals and heating up leftovers, you'll find it's perfect for a light breakfast before heading out on a hike or preparing a snack of cheese, crackers, and a glass or two of wine in the afternoon.

The full bed at this Oregon Coast vacation rental is comfortable, with it bright throw pillows and cloud-like quilt. Let the sun wake you up in the morning, before you head off to the Village Coffee Shope or Stimulus Espresso Cafe for morning lattes and breakfast. This cute and cozy studio will sleep up to two guests, making it perfect for a romantic retreat or even a solo sojourn to relax and rejuvenate.

Beach access is close by, with free public parking at the Pelican Pub, one and a half miles away. Spend the day down on the sand, reading a beach book, building sand castles, or hunting for shells. And when you need sustenance, make your way into the pub for pints of Kiwanda cream ale and malt-crusted salmon.

Pacific City is surrounded by great hiking at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, Bob Straub State Park, and Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Lace up your boots and spend the day climbing sand dunes, gazing out over panoramic ocean vistas, or viewing wildlife. Pacific City is also ideally located for day trips - there's Tillamook and Cannon Beach to the north, and Lincoln City and Newport to the south. Although, on a cold, rainy day, you might just want to stay inside and watch a dramatic winter storm right from your warm and toasty living area.

Discover the magic of Pacific City from the comfort of your own private, romantic getaway for two. Plan a stay now and retreat to the coast to unwind and relax at this adorable ocean view studio.

Such a nice place to stay, beautiful views and a lovely home.
Emalea T. Aug 2019
We love the quiet neighborhood The view and how clean the house was. Also there was everything we needed Ikea dishes and a French press. Refrigerator actually kept our food cold!

We loved being able to wake up to the view from on high and see the cape! The price was super reasonable in off-season and the best part was having the availability to bring and prepare our own food and have a living room. We will come again. The matress wasn't our favorite but it wasn't a deal breaker.
Sarah S. Sep 2018
My boyfriend and i really enjoyed our stay. It was very nice and well taken care of.
Carol B. Jul 2018
The view of Haystack Rock was amazing from this home. I also have a rental beach home in Rockaway. I would recommend that your directions are outlined from the paved roads as this makes a much nicer entry to your home and easier to access. The Fischer Rd directions are a little scary. I would include a hair dryer for your guests in the bathroom and enlarge the TV to at least 32" or maybe 42".. Overall very nice and I would stay here again! Thank you!
Manager response:
We have updated our driving directions and appreciate the feedback.
Charitie J. Jul 2018
Really cozy house, really clean and well cared for. The only issue is the horrible bed.
Kaitlyn B. Jun 2018
Nice beautiful view from the balcony. Watched the sunset the second night of our stay. Great for couples.
David T. Jun 2018
the rental was great! very clean and neat. I had a facet break on me but they were able to get a repair guy out there to fix it quick.
Kathy S. Jun 2018
This is a very nice studio apartment. The view out the front windows is awesome. The front windows look directly at haystack rock. Looking out the kitchen window I was able to watch a deer (and rabbit) in the yard for about 10 minutes.

Very nicely kept up and quiet. It has a covered deck with the same great view.
David G. May 2018
Very cute and clean. Not very comfortable. Bed way too small for 2 people. Difficult to sleep.
Leitha H. May 2018
The space was clean, easy to access and nice shower.

Loved the view and the room. I wish the bed was a tad bigger but other than that I have no complaints. It was quiet, and had an awesome heater in the bathroom! Also had an electronic skillet and a toaster oven so I was able to make a nice dinner for my boyfriend and I. Plates and glasses were there as well. Just a short drive from the beach. Was able to see the sunset PERFECTLY. Very romantic.

We've been spending mid-Decembers here for several years. We love being high above the ocean but still being able to hear the surf and the foghorns, see the Cape and watch the weather cross the ocean toward us. The place is cozy and self-contained with a big, comfortable bed. The price is very reasonable in the off season. We are close to so many things! The beach itself at the Cape. The scenic drive north along the coast to Cape Lookout and environs. The bird sanctuary and natural areas. A quick run south to Lincoln City. Discoveries everywhere. Chesters Market is a well-stocked grocery. There are great places to eat. And the quaint authentic flavor of Pacific City and the mouth of the Nestucca make it a special experience for those looking for the unspoiled historic Oregon Coast. In the summer, the dory boats and surfing contests provide a different kind of charm.

Do go and enjoy the view and peace and quiet
Scott G. Oct 2017
Very nice view and quiet place to stay
Cara S. Aug 2017
An overall great place to stay! The view of the ocean and sunset from the porch was wonderful! We saw deer every morning and evening in the front and back yard. Very peaceful here!
Terri T. Aug 2017
The view was wonderful and waking up to the haystack and ocean sound was really nice. However there were problems. Not super clean, the bed was terrible, no window coverings on the north windows, and the kitchen is not outfitted for much cooking.
Kathleen M. Aug 2017
Beautiful apartment in perfect Pacific City location! Would stay here again!
Daniel Z. Jul 2017
This place was great. The views were super and the place was clean, excellent light, if I could bottle the air I would; the weather was super, even when clouds rolled in to block our ocean view they lifted and it was back to beauty. There are multiple great hikes a short distance. We ate at the Mexican place, good service and good food. Everything shuts down early but that is okay with us. Nice to use the washer and drier too! We did use the TV late at night too. Thanks
DANICA E. Jul 2017
View is fantastic, but unit has only a kitchen sink and microwave. Good to sleep in but it's more like a hotel room than a cottage.
Michael P. Jun 2017
We really enjoyed our stay there. A perfect place to relax, and use as a base for traveling on the north coast of Oregon
Abdiel R. Jun 2017
I loved every moment of it!
Cara C. May 2017
This place is nice, clean and has good views of the ocean. It does not have window coverings on some of the window and only sheers on the other. This made for an uncomfortably early morning with the sunrise.
Manager response:
The owner is looking to install new window coverings to help our guests have more coverage from the sun. Thanks!

We love Pacific City and have stayed at several properties on winter visits over the years. Pacific City is the unspoiled coastal town we remember from our youth. The Dana Lane studio has been a real find for us. High above the town and sea, the unit is spacious and light and comfortably equipped. Cooking is an option here with the tools to concoct a range of meals. Fresh seafood from Chester's can anchor a feast overlooking the setting sun. We like hiking, painting, and photography as well as adventure. Cape Kiwanda is a geological treasure to explore--respectfully. The beach to the south of Pacific City along the bay provides long and solitary walks. The Delicate Palate Bistro for dinner and Grateful Bread Bakery are excellent places to satisfy your appetite for quality cuisine. We'll be back...
Joshua S. Dec 2016
quiet, private, good
Eduardo L. Nov 2016
it was. My girlfriend first time in Oregon and I think I chose the right place .. she loved it
TOM B. Oct 2016
Nice place however the cleaning staff could pay a little more attention to details.
Robert F. Oct 2016
This place is in a lovely spot if you have a vehicle. It's high up on the hill overlooking the town and the ocean. The bed was very soft which may be fine if you don't like a firm mattress, or particularly if you are travelling alone. We found it to be uncomfortable though.
Otherwise, it was a great place. The owner is upstairs, and we never heard from her at all. There is a huge washer and dryer available which came in handy with trips down to the beach in the rain and mist.
Pamela B. Sep 2016
This is a sunny studio with a beautiful view, just as the website shows. We were comfortable in the bed and the love seat is in good condition. There is not a stove but in the cupboards there is an electric skillet and an electric burner. There is also a convection oven and microwave. I didn't cook so I can't report on the pots and pans but I don't think there was much in that department. We enjoyed ourselves and it was a very quiet neighborhood. No one was in the house above us. We saw very few people up in the neighborhood.
Kerry E. Sep 2016
Vacasa is small and cozy.....a close drive to the ocean (mile and a half). Located on a hill, it is located high enough you can see the ocean.
April W. Sep 2016
Overall, great stay and nice view.
Sean M. Aug 2016
This is a lovely place. I would go here again. It is in close distance to Cape Kiwanda and the surrounding restaurants are fantastic. The people here are so nice as well. Friendly small beach town perfect for a getaway.
Suzanne W. Aug 2016
It's just a really delightful little studio. Everything you need for a short stay. We were there three nights. Very quiet. Not walkable to the beach but the drive to public access was quick with plenty of parking. Just really loved the whole area and the place we stayed.
Wayland T. Aug 2016
Clean, beautiful views, and everything you need. It was a great place to base our adventures out of.
The only negative is that there are very thin ceilings and we could hear everything happening above us. The first night - the folks staying above us were having a party and we thought we might have to stay somewhere else. However, once they settled down, it was just the normal type of noise that you might get in an apartment.
Mike W. Jul 2016
Nice accommodations, clean, quite, full size bed and touch small, when your normal is a King
David P. Dec 2015
We were thrilled to find this spacious studio apartment high atop a hill behind the lovely authentic ocean town of Pacific City. If you like to be at the beach but don't need to see the waves roll in close at hand, this is a wonderful alternative. you can see Cape Kiwanda, the ocean and Haystack Rock from the deck and dining table, but you can also see the Little Nestucca and the Wildlife Refuge and the Coast Range. The place is furnished for cooking and relaxing. The bathroom has a warm heater and lovely hot shower. The place is well built and we were cozy and content, even in a wind and rain storm. For active walkers, it's a reasonable hike down to the town and back.
David O. Dec 2015
My wife and I stayed for two nights for our honeymoon and was very comfortable, well kept and private. Beautiful view of area and of the Ocean! Easy to get to with gps. Close and pretty drive to Lincoln city and beach! (:
Heidi K. Aug 2015
It was a very relaxing and peaceful experience, great for romantic getaways!!! Love the views!!
Rachel C. Aug 2015
We had a wonderful stay at this home. Everyone was clean, tidy and tasteful with a few perks. Plenty of towels for those extra showers after time at the beach, washer and dryer available, fan for those warmer nights, and wifi since our phones had no reception in the house. We'd stay again and highly recommend!
Matt S. Aug 2015
First I would say that the pictures dont give the full view of how great you can see from the property. It is located on a hill and gives good views of the ocean and surrounding natural areas. The inside was great and had more room than i expected. The only suggestion I would make is to add some curtains on the side windows. The Oregon landscape is beautiful in the morning but if you are trying to sleep in on vacation like us it was pretty difficult to do when the sun starts coming in around 6:30am. We will definitely keep this unit in mind for our next visit to Pacific City
Jenna R. Aug 2015
Upon arriving, it was quite an unpleasant surprise to realize that the other two units in the building were very close to the studio - so close that we could hear them talking and watching TV. We came for a romantic weekend, which it still was, but it was not quite as private as we were hoping for. I'm not sure if those people always live there, or if they're both rented out as vacation rentals as well, but it felt like we were intruding and it wasn't comfortable in that way.

That being said, the place does have great views, is very comfortable and clean, and for all other intents and purposes, was a nice place to stay. Definitely need to drive down to get to the beach, which is kind of a bummer, but I should have done more research to realize that before booking.

There's no stove, but there's a normal-size fridge, a small table-top oven and a microwave, so we made do.

Beautiful property though. There were deer roaming around in the backyard both mornings, it was a great thing to wake up to and watch.
Mandi C. Aug 2015
The pictures were somewhat deceiving and I thought I would be right on the ocean, when in reality it was still a 8-10 minute drive. Property is hard to locate and you have to cross some really awkward dirt roads (my car got a chip). The property was clean, but I didn't feel like the value was there for us at over $100 a night and sandpaper sheets to sleep in (plus a REALLY tiny bed). They really need to invest in a fan/air conditioner when it's blazing hot outside! TV is super tiny (20 inches, maybe?) ... oh, and the curtains don't cover the front windows, so there are gaps that people could look in which was super awkward.
Joan R. Jul 2015
Ideal for 1-2 persons. Minimal "kitchen" but restaurants nearby are good.
Priya N. Jul 2015
Wonderful location, good to see few dears up close and take pic's. I had a great time.
Jane W. Apr 2015
I really enjoyed my short stay here. The town was wonderfully quiet and uncrowded, even on the beach. I should add that I was only in town on weekdays so weekends may be busier. The local people were very nice, especially at the Grateful Bread Bakery. The Pelican Pub's clam chowder was a great treat--it's always better at the coast than it is in Idaho!

A large storm moved in on my last night here, and I couldn't hear any of the wind from inside the studio where I stayed warm and cozy. Just a heads up, I had almost no cell service while there. That's probably more about my phone and carrier than anything, as I understand others have not had the same problem when traveling through the area. It was actually nice to be disconnected for awhile and instead really focus on the experience of being there.

Thanks for a wonderful vacation--this was a great little base camp for exploring up and down the coast.
Grace J. Apr 2015
We absolutely loved our stay here! The room we stayed in was small, but very updated and clean. We were surprised to see there was no oven/stovetop--so we simply purchased a portable grill. The views were beautiful and we even saw deer several times walking throughout the property! Also, the road leading to the property has quite a few potholes--be prepared and careful when driving. We were very pleased with our stay and will be back again!
Kathy H. Feb 2015
This is a lovely place for a romantic getaway. It's located on the hill overlooking the town and beach, so you need to drive down. The neighborhood is pleasant and safe. Bring some deck chairs if the weather is nice. We parked at the state park to access the beach, and it wasn't very crowded.
Brown M. Dec 2014
Very clean, quiet with great views. Best for reading, sleeping and eating out at local establishments.
Aaron G. Aug 2014
This was a nice place to stay. Pacific city is small but but the beaches were great, one of the best beaches in oregon.
Elizabeth A. Aug 2014
This quiet and newly furnished studio is ideal if you want to get away and be on your own with the option of driving down to good beaches, restaurants and outdoor activities. Highly recommended!
Mary K. Jul 2014
Clean, quiet and super cute! Very positive overall experience - have already recommended to friends!
Deanne O. Jul 2014
Nice place especially for the price. Beautiful views. Needs a couple of deck chairs and something to play music on but otherwise a great stay.
Lisa K. Jun 2014
We had an excellent time in Pacific City and were so thankful for our choice of staying at 7260 Dana Lane! It was the perfect accommodations for two of us, we only wish we could have stayed longer. Pacific City was low-key, relaxing, and gorgeous, and we were able to ride our bikes from the property to town easily.

We look forward to the next time we can stay here! Thank you, Vacasa!
Tara E. Dec 2013
This little spot was very peaceful and relaxing. We didn't have the best cell service and there wasn't wifi-we were forced to relax and enjoy the beach and all the are had to offer
Haley G. Sep 2013
This property is great! Had everything we needed and beautiful view. Would absolutely go here again and recommend it to people.
Sarah B. Jul 2013
With no tv or wi-fi it's a great little place to escape.
