This four-bedroom, three-bath home has a maximum occupancy of six guests. Enjoy a good night's sleep on the queen-size bed in the master bedroom, which features a full bath, including a large soaking tub surrounded by windows, a walk-in shower, TV, and deck access. The other bedrooms have a queen, a queen, and two queen futons (one set up permanently as a bed with a three-inch memory foam topper) in a room with a TV that can double as a family room or extra living space. This home also has a washer and dryer for your added convenience.

If you want to stick close to home, this rental offers a variety of games for both kids and adults, and if getting outside appeals to you, there's plenty to keep you busy all year long. In the summer, keep your running routine intact or get out and hike or bike on the surrounding trails on the adjacent Forest Service and Conservancy land. Or head to Burton Creek State Park, just five miles to the north.

Great place. Will definitely try to go back.

Enjoyed this home to the fullest. Clean and big enough to not feel like we were under each other's feet. Beautiful setting with trees all around you. Great for walking or riding your bike. Also, close to West Shore Market/Deli, Sunnyside restaurant and Fire Sign Cafe. Definitely, planning to return.

The location is perfect for privacy and convenience to Tahoe City and West Shore. Up the hill, amazing access to Pacific Rim Trail, Paige Meadows and Ward Creek Park. The creek itself offered a quick refreshing dunk or exploring. Further up, a great, quick hike to Sherwood. Beautiful hikes and lake access all around. House was cool and comfortable. Loved it!!

The place was exactly what we were looking for and everything worked great. Would definitely recommend it!

This home was a wonderful value for a quiet, lovely location. The layout was perfect for two families with small children. The living area and kitchen were cozy, and the hot tub's position under the porch was ideal for watching the snow drift down. Would return!

My 3 sisters and I stayed 4 nights at this house and it was perfect for us. We loved the cozy living room with the fireplace, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beautiful surroundings gave us quiet privacy. Would definitely stay there again!

The was cozy and well equipped. Floorplan was perfect for our group and we really enjoyed our stay. Hope to come back next year.

Amazing house that accommodated all of our needs and wants for new years. Our trash had gotten full in the bin located outside and the management company picked up the trash right away once contacted. Driving distance to everything, especially to see the beautiful sights around the lake. I would have given 5 stars, except master bed upstairs was so uncomfortable we could feel the springs poking into our backs. Other than that, highly recommend and will continue to use Vacasa Rentals for future vacations!
Manager response:
HI Sujeev, we appreciate your feedback regarding the upstairs mattress. We have confirmed the mattress was replaced in November and is very new. I completely understand that mattress comfort is subjective. Thank you.

This place was super clean and really well-equipped. One bed seemed to be super uncomfortable (we gave that to the kids who sleep like rocks!) but otherwise, the house was perfect for us. Lots of room and exactly as described. thank you for sharing your place with us!

Manager response:
Hi Courtney, good idea on giving the bed to the kids. The good news is all mattresses were replaced in November 2018. No more merry-go-round with the beds. Thank you.
Anne H. Aug 2018
My friend who rented the place told me she read numerous reviews about an insanely uncomfortable mattress, but assumed it was resolved. It has not been resolved. Know that going in. We had to flip coins for who took the bad mattress. Also, be advised that 2 beds are actually futons. Personally, I don't think that qualifies for a mattress. Also not comfortable.
Manager response:
Hi Anne, we have good news. New mattresses were replaced in November 2018. Thank you.

Had a great time staying at the Vacasa home on Ward Creek. It provided easy access to hikes both to the north and south of Emerald Bay. We found the home both charming and sizeable. It was an all-around great experience.

My family stayed the weekend here and we will definitely come back. Traveling with kids is hard enough. So staying in a fully furnished house, allowed us the privacy to hang out and relax together.

We had 8 adults and 2 children staying in the house. It worked very well for us with four bedrooms and 3 baths. The house is very clean and appliances, kitchen, bathroom all seemed newly remodeled. The carpets were new and clean as well. We had a great time playing in the snow around the house, even with a little sled slope on the side. We were all comfortable and enjoyed the time there.

We enjoyed spending the week between Christmas and New Year's Day here. The cabin is 5 minutes from Homewood, 15 minutes from Alpine/Squaw, and very close to the lake. The cabin itself is fine; the furnishings are dated, to be sure, and there's no DVD player, but it has everything you'll need and the hot tub is great. There's also a nice forested area out the back.

The Ward Creek house served us very well for our Thanksgiving family weekend. The house is very stocked with dishes, pots, pans, appliances, etc. The location is very convenient, but also out of the way enough to be quiet. The house backs into the Tahoe Conservation Area Lands, which is a nice piece of privacy. Also, the Tahoe Rim Trail is very close. The house states parking for 4 cars only. We had only 3, so believe the write up. Four is MAX, especially once there is snow on the ground. You will need AWD or 4WD during snow season (as the write-up states). The house is very comfortable, and newer than some of the surrounding cabins. The bathrooms are all very updated and nice. I'll state a few cons, so you won't think I work for Vacasa...Most of the bed coverings are cheaper than a Kmart special. No reason for this, when TJ Max exists. One bed should be replaced, thin and soft. Again, no this is in-congruent with the era of the house and quality of the construction. A recycling bin would be appreciated...OK now I'm whining. Have a great time!!

We enjoyed the house and hot tub. The location is great, close to Tahoe City. The house was clean, the carpets had been cleaned the day we arrived. The furniture is very, very well worn and in need of replacement. However, the kitchen and three bathrooms were recently updated and beautiful. It worked perfectly for four couples to stay comfortably. It is a great house and we would recommend to others.
Michael B. Oct 2017
The house was a perfect 'small' 4 bedroom. Plenty of room for my family without any really spare rooms or spaces. Loved the layout enough to measure it for a future home for my family.
The back bedroom had a bed that needed to be replaced otherwise the furniture, kitchen, and overall feel were great.
Richard H. Oct 2017
The home was in a great location near Tahoe City. Only a five minute drive into the downtown and practically down the street from Sunnyside Cafe. Home layout and appliances and beautiful, beautiful showers, all brand new! BUT, home felt used. Carpet was dirty, couch was disgusting. Pillows on couch smelled like booze. Master bedroom bed gave us sore backs- mattress is very old and extremely uncomfortable. Large tub in master bathroom filled up with water that turned blue and ran out of hot water before the tub was even full.Kitchen items were dirty and gross. Had no spices, coffee, no little “extras”, no books, board games, etc. Very disappointing.
Manager response:
The property manager has scheduled a deep clean for this home that should take care of most issues presented in this review. He has also added some extra games for guest entertainment. We were unable to find any issue with the tub at this time. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the cabin and cannot wait to go back!
Lindsey W. Aug 2017
This house is great for a weekend getaway with friends and very close to the Truckee River.
Katherine S. Aug 2017
We met ours TRT hikers Saturday afternoon, the house is only 1/2 mile from trailhead. They had zero day on Sunday. ( truly enjoyed the hot tub for aching muscles) We checked out Monday, right after we viewed the eclipse!!

OK second tier property. Near lake is handy give up views but easy access to ward Creek trails system and back side of Alpine meadows ski area
M S. Jun 2017
Although the photos make the cabin look bigger than it really is the cabin has a nice layout with plenty of room for multiple families. We could not get more than 2 channels on the TV but then again, we were on vacation, so watching TV was not a big deal. We only found 1 skillet big enough to cook bacon and couldn't cook eggs at the same time. Could use a 4 slice toaster as a 2 slice is not enough when you have several people waiting on toast. Could use screens on the windows that do not have them to let in cool air in the afternoon or early evening or more ceiling fans to move the air around as there is no air-conditioning. A screen on the sliding door would be nice. One on our guests saw a mouse in the kitchen on our last morning so maybe set a mouse trap when the cabin is not rented. Lastly, I recommend a bug control company spray for bugs. I understand this cabin is in the woods and critters can get into small places, but if sprayed it might cut down on the bugs and spiders.

Total forest view from the hot tub and a short drive to the Tahoe Rim Trail head

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful property, beautiful house. We will definitely stay again.
Tanisha S. Apr 2017
This was a beautiful home. Everything looked just like the pictures. My friends and I came up to celebrate my birthday and we had a wonderful time. We got there early on a Friday and called to see if we could check in early and they allowed it. The only issues I really had was I could never find the waffle maker, which really disappointed me because I wanted a waffle for my birthday breakfast. We just ended up making pancakes instead. The other thing was the grill was cover in snow but the men in the group enjoyed digging it out. Other than that everything was wonderful. This home was in a beautiful location. We plan to go every year and stay in this home again.
Roger B. Apr 2017
Great cabin on a nice street not too far from everything. We loved the layout of the cabin. It was comfortable and nice.
Kathleen D. Apr 2017
Home is perfectly located, clean and well stocked. More responsiveness and repair to washer and fireplace would have made the stay perfect.
Elyse C. Feb 2017
Very nice cabin with new interior, the bathrooms were gorgeous and the kitchen had new appliances with everything I could possibly need to cook meals during our 3 night stay. Plenty of space for our group of 7. We hope to return this season.

Thanks for all. We were very happy.????????????
