Dog-friendly lakefront home w/dock, swing & great location - perfect for kids!

Enjoy a quintessential glimpse of Maine at this three-bedroom Poland family home! It's a dog-friendly lakefront retreat with a gorgeous location on Upper Range Pond, a private dock, close proximity to forests and state parks, and an abundance of child-friendly amenities to make you feel right at home.

Scenically situated on the western shores of Upper Range Pond, this charming three-level home is the perfect place for summer vacationers and fall foliage enthusiasts. You'll be just six miles from Range Pond State Park, 17 miles from Sebago Lake State Park, 16 miles southwest of Lewiston, and 29 miles north of bustling downtown Portland.

Located just a few miles from the original source of Poland Spring Water, this updated home is all about life on the lake. Step inside to find hardwood floors, plush seating, and large windows that frame views of the pond. Curl up on the sofa with a good book, use the WiFi to post a few photos, and spend the evening watching movies on the flatscreen cable TV and DVD/Blu-ray players.

Prepare pancakes and eggs each morning in the beautifully equipped kitchen, which offers stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and a gas range. Grind your own coffee beans, help your kids crack eggs at the two-person bar counter, and pull up the high chair and booster seat as you sit down at the table for four.

Spend your days lounging in Adirondack chairs on your private waterfront property, pushing your children on the tree swing, or launching the home's kayak from the private dock to fish for perch and rainbow trout. Back on dry land, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower and use the gas grill to make a feast from your fresh catch. Roast marshmallows over the firepit.

At night, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home will accommodate as many as eight guests (and three dogs, for a small nightly fee). The master bedroom has lofty ceilings, a lovely wall of exposed wood, and a queen-size platform bed, while the guest bedroom offers a full-size bed. The kids' room has a pair of twin beds and windows that frame the treetops.

The downstairs family room features a futon for additional sleeping space, but it's also a wonderful spot to watch TV, play with the provided games and toys, and open the patio doors to let in the summer breeze. Other family-friendly amenities include a private washer/dryer and baby gates to give you peace of mind.

Thanks to its gorgeous woodlands, pristine ponds, and convenient location from Portland and Lewiston, Poland offers an iconic glimpse of summertime in Maine. You'll have the 391-acre Upper Range Pond right outside your door, while the Poland Spring Golf Course - the oldest resort golf course in the country where Babe Ruth and President William Howard Taft once played - is just five miles east.

Drive a few miles to reach Range Pond State Park, which has a wide sandy beach and a public boat launch on Lower Range Pond. There are hiking, biking, and cross country skiing trails in the area, as well as plentiful fishing and ice fishing. Or, spend the day exploring Maine's deepest lake at Sebago Lake State Park, one of the state's five original parks that features 1,400 acres of woodlands, beaches, and wildlife.

Come and experience the summer magic of Maine - book your stay at this Poland home today!

The outside space was a vacationers dream! We loved kayaking, swimming and fishing in the beautiful clear water. There was also ample space for everyone to have fun-card games, puzzles, to movie night.

Great outside activities! A place for dogs to run around on a lead. Fun water toys: kayak, inner tube and a platform to swim to. Shaded area most of the day!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The windows in the living room displayed a wonderful view of the lake. The house and yard were nicely maintained. I would recommend staying here.

This wasn’t the perfect place it was everything I was looking for our visit with the grandsons. It was clean and had everything you could need to enjoy your stay. Plenty of things for kids to do. Will definitely stay again

We loved our time here. It was exactly what we were looking for! Unfortunately though, we didn't want to overpack, so we didn't bring a few basic supplies because the preparation email stated they had it, and we were bummed to find there was no paper towels, and no dishwashing soap. Also, the ice maker wasn't working, the fridge didn't work well to keep everything cold, and there were a lot of fruit flies when we arrived.
This didn't ruin our time and the nice location and comfort was spot on!
Manager response:
We appreciate this feedback. We are very happy to see our guest enjoyed the home though terribly sorry the amenities that were supposed to be provided were not left in the home. In the future, if there are ever any missing items, guests can call us right away, and we will be sure to take care of your needs immediately. We have inspected the issues mentioned, and we found the coldness setting had been set too low in both the freezer and the fridge. We have since raised the coldness level so it is in good working order! Concerning the fruit flies, during inspection we did not find any but, we have provided the home with chemical free traps to prevent fruit fly issues in the future. Thanks!

We booked the house for a four night stay while we had family visiting from Virginia. The house was able to accommodate all of us and we spent a lot of time enjoying the water. My four year old nephew caught his first ever fish right of the dock. The home is equipped with every thing one needs to entertain a large group.

The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and well stocked. Also, was right next to the lake with a dock and lots of chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Vacasa was great about giving all the necessary information. Would definitely stay here again.
