Step back in time at this historic Tenerife villa that holds centuries of memories from its time as a monastery. Located in the town of Tacoronte, this 17th century villa offers traditional Canary Island architecture alongside ample gardens and outdoor sitting areas. This multi-level home is sure to stun, with recent restorations preserving a sense of age and history. Dark wooden ceiling beams, old-fashioned lamps and cabinets, and touches like a small wine cellar area and an outdoor furnace, are things you just don't see anymore in many homes. At the same time, modern furnishings and appliances are replete throughout, with the kitchen boasting a bright green apple theme that makes for a nice change of pace.

The downstairs living room has plenty of sofas and armchairs for relaxing by the fireplace, as well as a DVD player and a flatscreen cable TV. On the same floor, you'll find the cellar in a nice sitting area, and a study with a small private library. And upstairs, there's an additional sitting room with yet another fireplace!

What's nearby:
If you're in the mood for sightseeing, the center of town is less than a mile away! As rich in history as your new getaway is, don't ignore the culture surrounding you in Tacoronte! From the town's own historic quarter to sites like the Santuario del Cristo shrine, there's plenty to learn about this centuries-old settlement. There's just as much to do outside the city, as well, like touring the island's famous vineyards or visiting beaches like La Arena and Mesa del Mar. There's even a natural swimming pool in the form of El Pris, whose stunning vista is found just under five miles north!

This verry autentic big old house with beautifull garden and lots of rooms made oure month stay perfect!
Tacaronte is in the cool side of the Island, and with only a 10 min drive youre over the mountain in to the sun or youre at one of the so manny perfect little beaches or picina's. (natural swimmingpool)
The HouseKeepers Natashja and Mercedes are phonomonal... they responded instandly on oure questions ore needs.
This house looks like a museum, but feels like home!

Muy bonita casa canaria en un entorno precioso y relativamente fresco, muy agradable durante todo el día y tranquilo de noche. Dispone de un amplio jardín donde pueden jugar los niños y facilidades como wifi y tv movistar.

Interesting place and locale. This home was built in the 1600's and has a lot of character. Because it is an old home, amenities are not modern and it doesn't get a lot of light during the day. The garden however is amazing and if you are in Tenerife in good weather and are outside all day, that is less of a worry. Taroconte is not a tourist part of the island, which is good. You felt that you were part of the endogenous community. The host was great and there were no problems with check in or check out. If you want a model place that is close to the beach, this place is not for you. However, if you want to spend time in a place with a lot of character and with nice gardens, could be a good spot.
