Beautiful home right by Whitman College with room for the whole family!
Get ready to feel relaxed and rejuvenated when you escape to Walla Walla! Whether you're in town for outdoor adventures, wine tasting, or visiting a student at Whitman, this centrally located home is the ideal place to return to after a fun-filled day.
This home is just a quarter mile from Whitman College, making this a wonderful place to stay for a graduation or campus-based activities. Wildwood Park is a half-mile to the east if you're looking for a place to have a picnic, and with a bus stop a block away there's no need to drive when you don't want to. But if you do bring a car, the long driveway provides off-street parking.
A cute yellow exterior and well-landscaped facade usher you into the cheerful, inviting home. Wood floors, bright rugs, and light walls infuse the space with a sense of energy. Play a board game around the coffee table in the living room, or settle into the plush sofa to read a book. A separate family room is a great place for kids to watch a DVD or Blu-ray, and there's WiFi so people can keep up on work emails.
Your group's chef will love the kitchen, which has stainless steel appliances, an island for extra chopping/prep space, and an open, easy-to-navigate layout. Brew some coffee to get yourself going in the morning, then enjoy your meal in the dining room or outside on the patio furniture. There's even a grill available for a summer barbecue!
As many as 12 guests (no more than 11 adults, please) will sleep safe and sound in this five bedroom house. There is a king bed and four queen beds, and the family room futon accommodates an adult or two children. Don't stress about running out of linens - there's a private washer and dryer to ensure that you always have clean sheets.
This area is famous for its wine tastings, and this home is within walking distance to several tasting rooms. Have your own walking tour and check out El Corazon and Doubleback, or drive to the popular Bergevin Lane Vineyards to taste their rosé.
If it's time for a celebratory shopping trip, you'll find plenty of places to take that special grad. Check out boutiques like Walla Walla Clothing Company and Studio Opal, then cap off the afternoon with a trip to the theater. Take in a show at the Power House Theatre or the Little Theatre of Walla Walla, or if your timing is right, soak in the glorious sounds of the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival.
You'll never forget your stay at this wonderful vacation home near Whitman College!

The Columbia House in Walla Walla was perfect for our anual girls trip. We are 6 women from Meridian, ID, ages mid-60's to mid-70's, we have taken a girls trip for the last 4 years. The house met all of our needs as far as the bedrooms and bathrooms were concerned. The beds were very comfortable. The Columbia is located in a quiet little neighborhood close to the college and downtown. The house was pretty well equipped with anything you need in the kitchen. It is nice and bright and very clean. The front porch is very inviting for front porch sitting and enjoying the quiet neighborhood. The basement bedrooms are set up nice and you didn't really feel like you were in a basement as they were very bright as well. We were very happy with our stay. It is probably the best house, as to layout and comforts of home, that we have stayed in over the last 4 years. Thanks for sharing this cozy house with others. If we were to come back to Walla Walla, this would be the house we would come back to.
We enjoyed the house and neighborhood. Close to the college and community. House was clean. We really enjoyed the front porch. Neighbors were quite. Would stay again.
Excellent vacation home. Extremely clean, well maintained, lovely homely feel, lots of room. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you
The home was spacious and clean. The only thing I would say was it would have been nice to have some Walla Walla info in the home, where are all the wineries and how to get there. Also, since that is wine country more wine glasses and champagne glasses would have been nice. There were only three wine glasses and two champagne glasses. We supplied them with three more wine glasses. Other than that the place was very comfortable and I would stay there again.
It’s a big house lots of room for everybody beautiful kitchen and close to downtown
There were four golfers in our group. everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay. you really need decent cookware. other than that, it was great.
I grew up in Walla Walla and come back for at least a few days every year to visit my mother, who lives at the Merriam Street Apartments. "The Columbia" was the perfect place to stay -- just around the corner from her apartment, and with plenty of room for my wife and myself, our two grown children, and my brother and his son. It's a lovely house, nicely appointed, very comfortable, and with a location that can't be beat.
Plenty of room! Great location! Tastefully decorated! Very comfortable!!
This is a very comfortable and well equiped home. The kitchen and dining area are conducive to enjoyable dinners for larger groups. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything required for meal preparation.
The location is great, the back deck and yard lovely and the owners communicate clearly and promptly.
We would certainly consider returning.
We were 7 girls celebrating our best friends engagement. We loved the house set up and location to everything. We will definitely be back. The house was sparkling clean, the flowers elegant and we absolutely loved our stay!
There was plenty of room for our group. It’s within walking distance of some fun places. The only drawback was how cold the basement was and 3 of the bedrooms are down there. If we raised the heat, it would be too hot upstairs. Responses to our questions were quickly answered.
Great place. Fantastic Location
Older home with a great location in downtown Walla Walla. House needs some renovation and deeper housekeeping, but did the trick.
Great location close to Whitman. Comfortable, clean, and a great stay.
A group of 8 stayed at this house and enjoyed it! Great location to wine tasting rooms. It was a nice day so we walked less than a mile to main strip. Beds were comfortable and the kichen has most things we needed. I would recommend this house to a group or family.
Overall, a great visit. Clean and spacious for all 3 families (6 kids under 12!) and nice quiet neighborhood. The only feedback would be to provide more dishware for the 12 potential guests. The plates and drinking glasses were minimal making it difficult to feed everyone at one time.
We appreciate this feedback. We’ve brought up the request for more dishware with the owner.
Great place to stay! We had 7 women staying an all had plenty of room. Close to downtown, about 15 minutes walking. Had such a fun time!!
We had a great time celebrating my birthday with our family. Hope to be back again next fall same time, to celebrate again.
Great home, great location, overall very happy. Would stay again.
Great house. Good set up
Plenty of room
This is a great house for friends to share - nice and cool in summertime since 3 bedrooms are downstairs in basement. Nice yard, spacious dining and living area - perfect for hanging out.
Nice house conveniently located near downtown.
There were 5 ladies staying at Vacasa for a weekend of wine tasting and we had a great time. We had everything we needed to stay in and cook on Friday night, and then go out for the day on Saturday. We are already planning on next trip and will definitely book Vacasa again!
What a wonderful stay at the Columbia! The house had all the amenities we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Walking distance to Whitman College and downtown Walla Walla. A quiet neighborhood and parking was a breeze! The house had a wonderful warm layout and was clean when we arrived!
Rented this property for a birthday celebration. Spent most of our time at various wineries around town but it was absolutely perfect for our group. Lots of space, big kitchen which was great for making dinner and breakfast, and great location.
Would highly recommend this property for your stay in Walla Walla!
Nice restoration and well equipped kitchen. Nice linens and decor
