Waterfront dog-friendly home with cozy wood stove, deck, and private pond!

Nestled in the woods, this Kalispell country home offers the best of both worlds - updated comfort and amenities with the beauty of Montana right outside your doorstep. At this home, you'll enjoy the inviting setting, cozy wood stove fireplace, and deck.

Located at the foothills of Flathead National Forest, this secluded home has a lovely tree-filled property with a private pond. It's also just 30 miles from stunning Glacier National Park and lots of great outdoor activities year-round. You'll be about 12 miles from Flathead Lake where you can paraglide, fish, and sail, and 10 miles from the town of Bigfork, which becomes a winter wonderland village, bedecked with lights and wreaths during the holiday season. And throughout the year, Bigfork boasts a regionally recognized playhouse, galleries, and restaurants. If you love the outdoors, float the last mile of Swan River right into the bay in downtown Bigfork, or walk the trail that runs along the whitewater section of the river and look for kayakers.

In the winter Bigfork is decorated with lights and wreaths and called the winter village.

An inviting front deck area leads to the entrance of the home, which has a nice entryway with a bench for easily taking on and off those hiking boots. The main floor living space features rustic, country decor and comfortable furnishings, including comfy sofas and a TV equipped with Roku for a variety of entertaining options on Netflix streaming.

The living space is open to the kitchen and dining area. In the updated kitchen, you'll have modern, stainless steel appliances, rustic-chic cabinetry, and plenty of space to maneuver for cooking up delicious meals.

The dining area has a contemporary table with seating for six, plus there are bar stools for seating at the kitchen counter as well. A door leads out to the deck, which has two lounge chairs for relaxing in the Montana sun and plenty of space for gazing out at the beautiful natural scenery.

With two bedrooms, a sofabed, and two full bathrooms, this home will accommodate up to six guests maximum. There's one bedroom with a double-size bed and a full bathroom on the main floor, then on the lower level, you'll have a second bedroom with a queen-size bed, sofabed in the living area, and full bathroom.

Downstairs, there's also a great second living space with a cozy set of sofas for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle upstairs. There's a wood stove to keep you nice and toasty on those chilly Montana nights, plus a nice desk space for logging on to the Internet when you need to send off that last email.

This home also has a private washer/dryer for your convenience and a two-car garage for parking.

Get outside and explore the area! Take the dog for a walk down the path that leads to the property's private pond. Set up a romantic picnic on the grass surrounding the pond, or have some family fun splashing around in the shallow water.

Spend the rest of your days experiencing the amazing beauty of Montana. Glacier National Park is just 30 miles away, making it a great day trip to see one of the country's most scenic areas. For water sports, fishing, boating, and more, head over to Flathead Lake about 12 miles away or Flathead River just a few miles from the home.

For restaurants and amenities, you'll have the small city of Kalispell, MT about 15 miles away. It offers a charming array of shops, restaurants, and anything else you could need. The cabin was clean and bright and private. No view but such a nice quiet place to relax. The only thing I would suggest is to place a curtain in the lower bathroom as it is at ground level and doesn't provide much privacy even though the bottom pane is frosted. They need to frost the upper pane as well. We just taped some paper to it to do the trick but this should be corrected by the owners. Other than that it was truly a nice place. Very centrally located. Our last night there two wild turkeys flew into the trees in the back yard to roost for the night. We've never seen that before! It was an unexpected treat! We loved it!
Manager response:
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and are sorry to read you were uncomfortable with the window. The property manager is discussing options with the owner to prevent this discomfort in the future. Thank you!

Great quiet home away from congested area, close to Glacier, Kalispell, Bigfork &Big Sky Bible Camp. Very comfortable beds & bedding, the 2 hide-a-bed couches were the best quality I've ever seen. Easy entry, the garage was a bonus. Nice kitchen- we do alot of meal prep, breakfast lunch & dinners in the home. If I could wish for 1 medium skillet, a better large skillet (that's not warped) and a decent set of knives to slice, you would make me very happy! Really liked that our beautiful dog could be with us inside house or in the fenced yard- so thankful for the fenced yard that I'm not complaining but the cockleburs that came in on the dog each time he went out were a nuisance. Overall, a small house, nicely laid out and provided a wonderful, quiet get-a-way! Loved it- would stay again!

The perfect place to stay if you’re looking for something quiet, and yet pretty close to town! Very nice and spacious! Close to glacier! Highly recommend!

The house was amazing. Everything we could have asked for. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!

Really enjoyed the ho e and the location. I would rent it again.

The cabin has a terrible musty smell, the bed upstairs is uncomfortable, the sheets and towels were dirty, there was only the bare minimum essentials stocked if that.... They should pay you to stay in this place!
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback, Amanda. We regret to hear that you were dissatisfied with your stay, and we are happy to report that this cottage has undergone a seasonal deep clean, and the linens have been replaced. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the near future!

Very nice area to enjoy. The house has all a person needs for the stay. We saw lots of elks and birds around the house. Thank you for sharing the area with us. Unfortunately, the weather was little finicky and we were not able to do all on our list.

Significant dog waste (we had to pick up before we could use the yard), then septic overflowed into house leaving us standing in human waste, blood and hair in sheets, bed broken, .5 mg wifi down is so slow that wifi TV's don't really work, Microwave close door button broken, dryer vent broken so we could not use until they fixed it, towels bleached different colors, empty wrapper in shower, and path down to lake was overgrown. It was so bad we had to leave!

Loved the rural location in the serene woods with access to the private lake. Close proximity to kalispell and columbia falls (30 min) but far enough off the beaten path. The sleeper sofa was good enough for me (26 year old). Wifi is not good at all, but who needs that on vacation anyway? :)
Brandy Z. Jul 2018
The house was great and the dogs enjoyed going down and swimming in the pond.

We loved the location for trips to Glacier N.P. and Whitefish, MT. The house was very nice with comfortable beds. There were only curtains on the largest windows in the bedrooms though, which meant early morning sun creeping in for our kiddos on the pull-out sofa. The porch was fantastic, and we saw several deer. The road noise was pretty low too, so overall it was very enjoyable :)

Perfect for us and the pups as well! Peaceful location and well stocked house. Thank you!

Comfortable inside. Woods and a pond outside. Close to town. Close to the park.

Many Lakes Cottage was very clean with cute decor and had everything we needed. I loved having the fenced yard for our small dog. The lake behind the house was a peaceful, quiet place to spend the evening. It was an easy drive to Glacier National Park. I would definitely recommend this home!

Very nice and clean place. Quiet place by the lake . One thing to know it does come with a bq the site says no .

The simple and comfortable updated style of the home, the secure yard for our furry one with plenty of room to roam, and a quiet beach to enjoy the sounds of wildlife. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay that fit our budget. We loved every detail that was put into this home and can see it has been well cared for. We felt right at home!

Everything about it, consider myself a pretty picky traveller. Will be back.

Home is perfectly situated to provide privacy and peace, while being close to everything. Many Lakes rental is a beautiful property to use as a base or to just sit and relax in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Small home great for a couple. Steep driveway so be prepared in winter. Saw deer some mornings wandering around outside.
MARY H. Aug 2017
We loved the house. There were 2 great living spaces. Two comfortable bedrooms. Two wonderful bathrooms. Two couples have their own floor. Even though there wasn't an air conditioner we were comfortable and we were there when the temperature was in the nineties. We (5 of us total) would all love to come back to this same spot.
Wendy E. Aug 2017
This was a fine place to stay. It would be better with more window treatments and when it is cooler as the house stayed a little warm. Otherwise it was very nice. We were mostly spending our time in GNP, so the house was a little far for us at the end of the day, but was a nice place to stay. It has everything you need for a visit.
Carol I. Aug 2017
A great place to stay! If you are planning to hike the west side of GNP this location works. Too far of a drive to do much hiking on the east side of the park.
Steve W. Jul 2017
great for dogs and exploring area;within minutes of everything

We liked this place

Our family of 5 (Husband & I plus 3 adult sons) stayed here while visiting Glacier. What an oasis! The accommodations were fabulous; the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. An added bonus to have a closed-in garage and full laundry services.
Vita T. Jun 2017
Quiet cabin that has everything you need for a vacation rental. Very pet friendly including fully fenced back yard. We enjoyed our stay and will ask for Many Lakes Cottage on our next visit to Kalispell.
Ammie C. May 2017
Maybe it was just bad luck but the fridge and the dishwasher broke on us the last night of our stay. The fridge's water and ice never worked. The house had plenty of dog hair in it and The manager was quick to alleviate the issue but first impressions are called that for a reason. The house itself is cozy and inviting but there just isn't much extra.
Gerrick W. Feb 2017
Great place for a few guys to stay at and do some snowmobiling. Plenty of parking. Garage is perfect for any repairs. Bring tools!! Steep and thick. All trails are 20-30 minutes. Six mile is fairly advanced but if you have some skills it's pretty sweet.
