The home was perfect for our family of 6! It was clean, cozy and close to everything we wanted to do. The hot tub was amazing! Thank you! We will return!
The house is exactly like in the pictures. Spacious backyard where the kids can explore. The hot tub is a bonus. The kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed. Kings beach is about a 20min drive from the house. We found a couple trails near by that we explored. Overall we had a wonderful stay, definitely will stay here again. We already have recommended to a couple of our friends.
clean, open, friendly to children, I didn't bring mine, that was the point of the days away, but if I did this would have worked
Very clean. Awesome location.
The house was clean and perfect for our summer riding trip around the various reservoirs. Peaceful backyard and the hot tub is a bonus. We will stay again!
My family and I had a great time here. The cabin does not have a view but it made up for it by being very comfortable and CLEAN. It had everything we needed and more. Central heating and air conditioning was a plus, as was the washer and dryer. The cabin/house is about 15 mins away from Kings beach and 30 min from Sand harbor which was perfect! My family would definitely stay here again. Loved it!
We had a wonderful stay in this great home! We would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the firepit, patio recliners, awesome ski lift swing, games, movies and more. The location was great too - easy to get to many different activities. Clean and beautiful home too.
* Hot tub was nice and clean...grilled outside, all was great.
The home had everything we needed (plenty of towels, shampoo, cream rinse, dishes, dish soap, paper towels, laundry soap, board games, DVDs, throw blankets, etc.); it exceeded our expectations. The home was clean and well decorated, and appliances were modern and easy to use. Jacuzzi was not heating to potential and property management quickly fixed the problem. Beautiful back yard w/decks and fire pit - great for relaxing day and night. Close to downtown Truckee and Tahoe City. Great home - will stay again!
Great location. Hot tub was great, patio was spacious and well appointed. The open floor plan made it great for family time. Lots of fun games. Main bedroom beds were excellent, however, bunk bed mattresses were worn out and terrible! Need to replace. A broken face piece on the microwave fell off in my hand. Kitchen was well appointed, plenty of cooking and cleaning necessities. Replace fry pans. Easy for a crowd of people to move around. Open, bright and cheery. I would stay again, but only in summer because of the stairs.
Nice house. Easy location access. Well furnished and stocked.
Stayed for 2 nights in February 2018. We very much enjoyed our stay. Close to highway I-80 and Tahoe Donner ski area where our kids took ski lessons. We definitely want to come back. Only one thing to be careful is the driveway may get slippery with snow/ice in winter season.
Great Place to stay. Love they they love and allow dogs!
Very homey and comfortable. Everything was lovely.
We had a great time at the Prosser Perch house. It was perfect for our dog - with the huge fenced yard. And the yard was a fabulous place to host friends and sit outside and barbecue. The house/yard is great for kids, too, as long as they're old enough to navigate stairs - which there are a lot of both leading up the house and in the backyard. I also noticed the linens/towels were higher quality than you usually find at most rentals, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We are already planning to rent the house again later this summer.
The house was exactly as we expected! The house was clean and the rooms were spacious! Great outdoor space for the dog and kids to play, especiallywith the snow. You made our four legged family member feel right at home too.
Great layout, great location, fun comfy home. Will certainly rent again.
If you like paying top dollar, there are better properties with better management.
I guess we paid discount rates, we got discount service.

Our family had a great time here. The home is well stocked for cooking. The bedding is comfortable. The location is very convenient to Northstar and Truckee.
We'll stay here again.
This cabin was very comfortable and a good home base for fun for our family of three and small dog. It was very helpful to have a dog-friendly home to make the dog happy as well. This home was very close to many great restaurants, shops and sights in Truckee and we didn't even need to head to Tahoe to have great meals or great skiing and snowboarding. The only negative comment I have is that as others have said in their reviews is that given the amount of snow this season, the driveway should be cleared prior to guests arriving. My husband spent a good hour upon arrival shoveling snow so we could park the car in the driveway and get up the stairs safely.
This was a very lovely, clean and well decorated home. My coworkers and I stayed for a work trip and enjoyed it. We had a couple issues though that were rather unfortunate.
1) The heater stopped working on the second day. As you can imagine it's pretty chilly in Tahoe this time of the year, so that was rather disappointing. Luckily there was a heating blanket in the room I stayed in.
2) Upon arrival we saw that the entire staircase/entry way up to the front door was completely covered in snow. There was no hopes of reaching the front door without shoveling. We had just driven 5 hours and were forced to shovel the stairway clear and finally got to the door after 30+ minutes. Seeing that this was a rental, I would've hoped that would've been taken care of. We were on vacation and shoveling snow was the last thing on our to-do list.
Overall it was a great place to stay with just a few hiccups. If these things could be changed/taken care of, I would definitely stay again.
Snow is not removed in time. Steep staircase becomes inaccessible/dangerous when ice is formed. Running toiled at the master bedroom need to be fixed.
Wood stored outside. Need time to dry. Otherwise very hard to use in the wood stove. Cozy and comfortable house if above issues are addressed.
This is a beautiful home / cabin, just the right size for our family of five. The decor was charming, furniture was comfy, and the kitchen nicely equipped. We had some difficult experiences related to the very snowy conditions during our visit. The weather of course is beyond anyone's control, but I think the owner or management could have done more to help us cope. Note that the driveway is fairly steep; even with AWD and chains we had no way of getting the car up it and into the garage. Upon initial arrival, we didn't yet have the chains on, and just barely got the car off the road. We slid sideways into a hillside, but fortunately came to rest just before contacting it.
We stayed here for a weekend ski trip, six adults fit easily. Everything was great, loved the location and the house.
It isn't mentioned in the property description, but there is only parking for two vehicles. That didn't impact us, but if you need a third spot, you'll have to park in Truckee.
We rented this place for the President's day weekend. When we first arrived, we were greeted with 3-feet of snow on the driveway. Luckily, they had a snow blower, but there was no salt in the garage and no gas for the snow blower. We had to drive back to town to get these items to clear the driveway and the steps to the house. The house was clean and cozy. It had everything as described on the web site. It was pet friendly, well equipped with all the kitchen amenities (they even had a slow cooker for us to make chili!). The internet connection was great, although Netflix had never worked for us. The beds were comfortable. Linens were nice and clean. We had problems with the toilets (one clogged and the other one constantly running) and the garage door would not close, but the local agent came to fix them immediately (even during the holiday weekend).
All-in-all, this is a nice property. I would have given it a 5-star if the driveway was cleared and the toilets and garage door were functioning properly. I will rent this place again.
This cabin had everything our family needed to enjoy our time in the snow. House was fully-stocked (games, sleds, snow shoes, etc). We literally could've just brought food and clothes. Backyard was perfect for sledding. Open concept living/dining/kitchen space was perfect for the whole family. Best of all, it's close to downtown Truckee (restaurants, local mom & pop clothing stores, etc). Would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed this house. it was clean and cozy. We have an 8 year old boy, a 5 year old girl and 1yr old dog. Very dog friendly. Everything we wanted was available. I enjoyed the fire wood stove. It kept the place very warm. The garage is not attached, which meant we had to dig ourselves out of prior to loading our vehicles during check out. However, there hasn't been this much snow in years. We got 3 feet of it very quickly. The owners did a great job on this property. I definitely would stay there again.
