Spacious ski-in/ski-out home with stunning mountain views and private hot tub!

Whether you're one big family or a couple of smaller ones, you deserve a ski vacation that'll keep everyone happy. What better spot than this incredible Moonlight Basin cabin? Between the mountain views from the private hot tub, spacious, ski-lodge accommodations, and ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes, your Big Sky getaway is looking better than ever!

Nestled deep within the Big Sky Ski Resort, you have instant ski-in/ski-out access to one of the largest ski resorts in the country. You'll find a groomed trail just outside the mudroom that will take you to either the Pony Express Lift via the Twin Tunnels Access Trail, or the Big Sky Base Area to the Swift Current and Ramcharger Lifts via the Bozeman Access Trail. Feeling adventurous? You could also ski down and hike 100 yards to the base of the Challenger Lift for first tracks! Spend your mornings and afternoons zooming down the slopes, before stopping for a bite to eat at Moonlight Lodge. Once you head back, change into your swimsuit and have a long, relaxing soak in the private hot tub.

Hardwood floors, beautiful wooden ceiling beams, and wood-carved door frames and furnishings create a luxurious ski-cabin vibe. Combined with wide window views of the mountains around you, you've got a warm, welcoming place that always reminds you that you're in Big Sky Country!

Marvel at the views from the deck before heading into the great room inside. Warm up by the stone-facade fireplace and plop down on the leather sofa or four cushy armchairs. You can admire the view from the nearby windows, or use the complimentary WiFi to share some photos with all of your friends back home! Even more entertainment awaits in the family room downstairs, with a massive sectional sofa that allows everyone to enjoy their favorite shows on the satellite flatscreen TV.

Stainless steel appliances and ample granite countertops make the kitchen a fun space for cooking. Just a few steps away from the fireplace, you can try some appetizers at the breakfast bar for four, before taking a seat at the table for ten nearby. Don't forget to dine outside on the deck on warmer days - there's no better accompaniment to your food than fresh mountain air.

Get a load of laundry going in the washer/dryer, set the dishwasher to clean your dirty plates, and get ready for bed - with five bedrooms, 12 guests can stay in this lovely home.

The master suite on the main level boasts a luxurious king-size bed, with a nearby guest room offering a generous queen-size bed. A third bedroom downstairs has yet another queen-size bed, while the remaining two rooms - one with two twin-size beds and the other with two twin-size bunk beds - are perfect for kids. Wake up to a soothing shower (or bath!) in one of the four sleek, shining bathrooms, and contemplate your day with a hot cup of coffee as you admire a view of the Spanish Peaks mountain range.

Skiing, snowshoeing, dog-sledding, and more are all right at your fingertips during the winter months, but there's plenty to do at Big Sky Resort during the summertime! As the snow melts, skiing trails turn into hiking trails, letting you admire Montana's forests and plants. More hikes await at Gallatin National Forest, along with mountain biking and whitewater rafting just nearby.

The town of Big Sky is just nine miles to the east, with shopping and restaurants to try alongside a gorgeous golf course. If you'd like a really memorable day trip, check out the world-famous wonders of Yellowstone National Park - the west entrance is just 50 miles away!

Very comfortable home in a great ski in/out location. Spacious enough for two families. Our kids loved playing outside and sledding!

Wonderful house, enjoyed a great week with group of 10 family members. Home was perfect for our needs - would definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and up to date on décor, the kitchen was well equipped, and the laundry room was spacious. We enjoyed the large shoe dryer after a long day of skiing, and the hot tub was very relaxing. We would stay here again, hands down a wonderful get-away.

Big Sky is an impressively large ski area and thus can require a lot of traversing from one area to another. While the house is nice, there are plenty of comparably nice houses in the area. The real benefit of this property is that it sits between the main area and the moonlight area of Big Sky and the Twin Tunnels and Bozeman trails allow for easy access to either side (Bozeman might be tough for snowboarders and requires work on skis). A perfectly placed mudroom right next to the trail makes for the easiest ski in/out I have experienced.

We recently stayed in Diamond Hitch 11 and absolutely loved the house. The location couldn't be more perfect and the layout of the house worked great for us and our extended family. We hope to stay there again next winter!

Great place! Description of 3 ski-out routes are accurate, but here are a few tips:

1) The Twin Tunnels route to Pony lift requires full speed on a snowboard to get past a flat spot without strapping out, so don't carve or speed-check!
2) The Bozeman Trail route to the Big Sky base area requires strapping out of snowboard to push for about 100 yards, but gets you earlier access to the top of the mountain if you're a first-tracks kinda guy. Again, don;t carve or speed-check!
3) The Ski-in route can easily be missed until you learn it. So...on your first day skiing back home, consciously hug the left side of the beacon training area as closely as possible or go into the beacon training area and veer left rather than right (towards the Challenger lift). If you fail to find your way home that way, and instead wind up at the Challenger lift, you can ski down from the challenger lift loading area to where the Bozeman Trail and Twin Tunnels trails intersect and hike up a slight 100yd incline to the home.

Lovely home in a great ski in/ out location. Well stocked and very clean. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. We were a party of 5 men. Each having our own bedroom. Home is well maintained

Our group has voted to come back to Big Sky again next year. We would like to have the same house again too as long as our group is about the same size.

My family of 9 stayed for 6 days in Diamond Hitch 11. It was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils. The hot tub was great. The ski in was excellent and the ski out was adequate. You had to pole some to get to either pony express or to the base area. That was a little frustrating but we survived. The mud room was awesome. It had a boot dryer, hooks for skies and jackets, and cubbies for all the helmets, gloves, goggles etc. The laundry room had a full size washer and dryer. We have been to Big Sky on 3 ski trips and we all agreed that Diamond Hitch 11 was our favorite accommodation.
