Ski down to the Pony Express chairlift or walk 75 yards to the Iron Horse chairlift - it's the easiest, most convenient access you'll find to Big Sky Resort's 300 ski trails! But the location is also within walking distance of the Moonlight Lodge's cozy restaurant and bar, three miles from shopping, plentiful dining, and apres-ski entertainment at Big Sky Base, and about 10 miles from fun seasonal events at Meadow Village.

Loved this place and lots of space including 4 bedrooms and one with 2 large bunk beds so sleeps a lot of kids. We only had 4 people and was very spread out. Kitchen has everything and more. Hot tub was warm every time and easy to open and close. Only negatives are almost too minor to mention. No where to throw out garbage and per locals it was a two mile drive so plan on taking it down to dumpster by car or make less.

The apartment was lovely, and a quick drive to Big Sky to ski. Kitchen was extremely well-equipped - whoever furnished it is obviously a real cook! It was also very near a little plaza with restaurants & a grocery store.

One negative was that the heat in the main room kept shutting off - seemed to be a fuse thing. But the owners were very responsive!

This place has everything you would need and plenty of room. The only negative was none of the decks had been shoveled leaving about 5 feet of snow on the main deck. We had to dig out snow to get the hottub cover open. I'm glad we didn't plan on using the BBQ.

Our town home, Saddle Ridge I-5, was beautiful, convenient, clean and perfect distance to Madison Base ski area and Mountain Village ski area. After a full day of skiing, our 3 young children were able to come home to either play in the snow or relax in the hot tub while we cooked dinner and enjoyed the cozy fireplace. The kids also enjoyed the media room with a Wii gaming station. This town home was actually big enough for 2 families to share. The staff at Vacasa was very helpful each time we called with questions. Big Sky was beautiful, and we can't wait to go back.

We booked our trip one year in advance and in that time, the rental company was bought out by VaCasa and the unit we'd booked was no longer a part of the program. There was a lack of communication up front about this change, so we were suprised upon arrival. The Saddle Ridge I-5 unit is a great ski accommodation for the price, but wasn't what we were expecting. The owners have made multiple upgrades in the I-5 Saddle Ridge unit, particularly in the bathrooms, which were much appreciated. Ski access is only a short walk across the parking lot and Moonlight Lodge is a stone's throw away. It is worth noting that no floor, not even the main floor, is accessible without a flight of stairs. Otherwise the unit is well stocked and well appointed with plenty of storage to organize ski gear for an extended trip.
At first, the corporate phone number we were given only allowed voicemails, so we highly recommend emailing first to verify you have the local number. When we went to the office to discuss the disparity the staff could not have been more accommodating or understanding. They immediately upgraded our unit to be beyond what we had originally expected as it was the only unit still available that met those original requirements. We could not say enough for the local management's handling of the situation and responsiveness and can give our unconditional recommendation to book through VaCasa in Big Sky with them.
