Oceanfront Cape Ann retreat w/ stunning views, fireplace, deck, & gas grill!

Plan a quintessential New England getaway at this inviting Cape Ann retreat. With stunning oceanfront views, a wood-burning fireplace, and an amazing deck with a gas grill, you'll feel right at home.

Located just 43 miles northeast of Boston in Rockport, this home sits on the Cape Ann peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. You'll have gorgeous views of the sunrise and moonrise, and enjoy easy access to top-notch seafood, boating, and sailing in Rockport.

When you enter this two-level home, you'll immediately notice the many windows that frame beautiful ocean views. Relax in one of the two living spaces, where you can cozy up with a good book in front of the wood-burning fireplace or watch a movie on the flatscreen cable TV and DVD player.

The spacious kitchen provides all the essentials for cooking up your favorite New England classics, whether it's freshly caught lobster or a plate of local oysters. The kitchen is open to the airy dining space, which features an eight-person table, and the dishwasher makes clean-up for a crowd a breeze.

Sliding glass doors lead out to the large deck, providing an ideal indoor/outdoor flow. Gaze out at the stunning ocean views, head down the stone steps that lead directly to the ocean, and listen to the waves crashing on the shore. A gravel side patio offers a sheltered space to grill up your favorites, as well as a table and chairs for al fresco meals.

With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this home will accommodate up to eight people (but no more than six adults, please). On the main floor, you'll find the first bedroom and a full bathroom. This spacious room has two twin-size beds, which also each have a single trundle underneath.

The remaining bedrooms are located upstairs. The first features a double bed, an en suite bath, a balcony, and beautiful ocean views. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed, an en suite bath with a tub/shower, and a balcony with ocean views as well. This home also features a private washer/dryer and complimentary WiFi for your convenience.

When you're ready to explore the area, head into downtown Rockport and check out the local scene. Peruse the local art galleries, take in a live performance at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, and dine at one of the many local seafood restaurants.

Take a morning walk through the nearby Halibut Point State Park or admire views of sailboat races and three local lighthouses back at home on the deck. For some fun out on the water, book a whale-watching excursion, go boating or sailing, and cap the day with a classic cup of New England clam chowder.

For a lovely day trip, head to the historic town of Salem 23 miles north, where you can take a rainy day tour of the Peabody Essex Museum. Boston is also just 43 miles south by car or by train, offering an endless array of historical sights, restaurants, and fun-filled activities.

The location was great, and the house/logistics were everything we hoped for.

Don't hesitate to book this place.

The location is outstanding! It has a gorgeous view, private and quiet neighborhood and is convenient to Gloucester and other surrounding coastal towns. Rockport was fun, especially shopping at Bearskin Neck and searching for seaglass at Front Beach! We enjoyed a hike at Halibut State Park, loved taking walks in the neighborhood and enjoyed the footpath that runs between the houses and the rocky coastline. The house is very spacious and comfortable. There were six of us (three couples) and we had more than enough room to spread out. Although some might prefer a more updated kitchen, everything was clean and worked well. We enjoyed every minute we were there!

Perfect home, perfect weather, perfect location.

"Million Dollar Views" don't do justice to what you'll get at this house. The house was perfect for our family of four and provided some much needed R & R. We had never been to the Pigeon Cove section of Rockport, but it was a perfect stay. There is a grill, if you want to cook out. You can walk to the nearby inn for a nice meal or just a quick bit of cheer in the pub. We'd love to return.
