In late fall, winter, and early spring, this hideout is a wonderful home base for winter sports enthusiasts. For downhill skiing and snowboarding, Brundage Mountain Resort is less than 10 miles away. The nearby national forests and state parks boast miles upon miles of backcountry trails for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing as well.
