Oceanfront dog-friendly home w/ sunset views of Sarasota Bay - snowbirds welcome

Fresh ocean air, plenty of sunshine, and all the space your dogs need to run around - what more could you ask for from a Florida vacation home? Between the great outdoors, world-class golf, and an incredible selection of amenities, your next trip to Sarasota is looking better than ever.

This oceanfront home for six is the perfect place to come back to after a fun meal at a nearby restaurant like Hungry Howie's Pizza. Despite easy access to Sarasota's shopping and dining by car, the property feels peaceful and isolated, with gorgeous views from the patio and quick access to the waters of Sarasota Bay thanks to a rocky path in the backyard.

Inside, marvel at the high-quality furnishings and mix of retro and mid-century modern styles, with a few fun knick-knacks to enjoy on the mantle. The living room boasts three couches - two positioned by the fireplace, and one with ocean views from the windows and cable from the flatscreen TV. There's also a study for telecommuters in the group, but don't work too hard - you're on vacation!

Full WiFi makes it easy to look up a new recipe to try! Cooking it will be even easier thanks to the recently remodeled kitchen, with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Lay out some appetizers by the breakfast bar seats for two, before savoring the main course at the table for six.

As the dishwasher hums away, step out from the laundry room to admire the sunset from the patio. When it's time for bed, a maximum of six guests will be able to relax in comfort thanks to three bedrooms. Couples will love the queen-size master bedroom, while two twin-size beds in one room and a sofabed in the remaining room are great for your kids and family friends.

After you take Fido for a morning walk (dogs up to 50 pounds are welcome for a small nightly fee) hop in the car and get exploring! Your home is surrounded by the finest of Sarasota's culture, from the animals of the Sarasota Jungle Gardens and exhibits of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art to the north, to the inspiring shows of Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall to the south. You even can take a scenic trip across the bay to wow the kids with marine life at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium! And golfers will love the easy access to amazing golf courses. A few from the many in the area are The Palms (six miles), University Park (eight miles), and IMG (nine miles).

The Coastal Nature Trail is a short walk away and you'll have a brand new timber pergola covered patio facing the water. From the yard, enjoy large trees with expansive views of the bay.

Place your reservation today and secure an unforgettable trip to the sunshine state!

Our stay was cut short thanks to Hurricane Irma but I would love to go back and stay at this property again some day. The view is spectacular! I loved the location... it is close to many things to see and do. The house is spacious and comfortable and has a retro charm.

The good: Views of the bay was spectacular as in pictures! Furnishing as in picture. The kitchen & bathrooms were very clean. The outdoor patio furniture was nice. Good wifi signal. Brand new quiet washing machine & dryer.

The bad: There is a park next door to property that attracted lots of pedestrians that hangout each evenings (so expect to share your privacy with strangers in the backyard). The yard is well maintained, but the fence is made of rope and the lawn has poop from large dogs.

The wood floor & sofas are cover in dog fur. We had to wash all the blankets on arrival as it was cover with dog fur too. The sofa bed is not usable for sleeping, too thin padding and you'll feel the coils all night. The living room has no blinds, so you'll have blinding light from the sun all day.

Just basic cable, so no Discovery, History channels, etc. (we thankfully brought our apple tv). Kitchen stock with bare basic, so you'll need to purchase larger knives to cut meat/veggies, extra tongs, aluminum fold, saran wrap, paper towels, etc.

Bathrooms are a little small. Not much towels stock so bring your own if you have more than 2 people.

The mid century furnishings were very good and the location was great. View of the BAY was good for sunsets. A grill would have been nice. It's on the bay and there is no beach. the small park next to the house was very worrying. People stayed the night and were rowdy.

80% of the home has been updated, very clean with beautiful views from every window. The Living room has a large window with full ocean view. The house was equipped with all we needed in the kitchen. The property is secluded and very private but there is a public park next to the property so we saw several "stragglers" on the other side of the fence.
The bathrooms need more updating. They were clean and parts were updated in each bathroom but still very outdated.
Siesta Key is 4-6 miles from this location, which took us approx. 20 minutes to get there since there with traffic.
Overall, we loved our stay and did not want to leave.

This house was in the perfect location. Many activities, restaurants, etc within 1/2 hour (pretty much endless if you're willing to travel up to an hour). The property was nice and included everything you need for time away. Being directly on the water was terrific. Not only did we have the option to enjoy sunsets every night, but we were able to see dolphins every morning around 10AM (wthin 30 feet of the shoreline). The manager was also very responsive with any questions we had (I preferred emailing). It's nice to have a property contact just in case!

This was a beautiful home, with plenty of room to stretch out, entertain, and just relax. There are several chairs and a small table and chairs on the back patio. A small maintenance issue was responded to immediately. It's an older home, with a few older home issues, but the kitchen is modern and beautiful, and the privacy was wonderful to have. A beautiful neighborhood for walking, as well.
