Why not spend your next vacation in the wonderful sun and water of the Florida Keys? This bayfront house offers ocean views, a dock, and dog-friendly accommodations for up to six guests to feel right at home!
Located at the westernmost point of Marathon on Vaca Key where "Flipper" was filmed, this house sits right on the bay with plenty of room for parking a boat and trailer and is within easy walking distance of the well-known restaurant, Sunset Bar and Grille. A quick drive east will bring you to more restaurants and shops, and the long stretch of Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail is nearby for some exercise with great views!
The house itself has a bright and fun atmosphere, with ample touches of wood and colorful animal sculptures lining the walls. Grab a seat on a variety of furniture in the living room to sip your morning coffee, enjoy a conversation, watch something on the flatscreen TV, or browse on WiFi after a long day.
A deck outside is great for soaking up some sun in patio furniture while looking out on the bay or dining at the round patio table. There's also a gas grill and a hot pink picnic table for a lavish island-style barbecue. If you have a boat, you can dock it easily right outside the house and your two dogs will love roaming free on your gated deck (please note a small, nightly pet fee).
Back inside, a compact but fully equipped kitchen lets you cook whatever you wish, with all the essentials you're used to plus a coffeemaker and dishwasher for convenience. Everyone will fit around the dining table inside if you don't want to brave the heat.
Two bedrooms and a loft provide sleeping arrangements for up to six guests. The two bedrooms each feature a queen bed and a TV while the loft if fitted with three twin beds. There are two full bathrooms and a private washer/dryer for taking care of any laundry.
This house is ideal for both a family with kids and serious fishermen, who will love the bait freezer, cleaning station, and easy ocean access. On the island, you can kayak with manatees in the bay, learn about and see dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center (great for kids), and see more wildlife at the Crane Point Museum and Nature Center.
Marathon sits in a great position to be able to reach the lower keys as well as mainland Florida - drive out to Key West to see where the great Ernest Hemingway resided and take part in great sport fishing. Head the other way and discover the shopping and nightlife Miami Beach is known for. Wherever you choose to go, you'll be surrounded by shimmering emerald water, beautiful white sand, and as much sun as you can handle.
This Florida vacation will truly be one to remember - book today!
